It seems that with our every thread ...that the whole world is set to destroy Sikhism... The Hindus are bad and are State Funded Terrorists...the muslims are set to destory the sikhs frm the time of Origin...the christinas are saved till now...the various sects of Sikhs are also the worst people on earth. According to the posts I feel we on this forum are only the enlightened ones. You need to understand and realize that there is nothing religeous and political involved in BOllywood. It was what they can get encashed for.If it involved Punjabi Culture. Be it Muslims or Hindus or Sikhs. I get to see south Indians get demeaned in so many films with their accent stuff. does that mean the Producer is an anti LTTE agent. Go to Gurudwara....listen to Simran....Sleep Well...Be Aware ...Work More.....Spread Awareness .......and Defend your rights but not when you are not being offended. The Sikhs by far have a lot of respect and regard for their boldness and love for thier roots than any other community even after all this being shown in Movies... and NRIs please come to India and then speak. Hate is taking us nowhere. I know some body now will post these words of mine in quotes and then claim that Im a also unaware and incomplete in my opinion. But thats ok. SSA. WJKK WJKF

Im in India and Visit Punjab every 12 months....the sikhi scene is bad in there...as the sikh prefer to cut and trimm the beards but still have the confidence like anything. This is true that the people of Punjab are really sure of wat they are upto. Even if the Sikhs are Patit...they are pretty confident and also have a lot of shraddha. But wass the use of dat shraddha wen they cannot follow guru jis words. Anyways....Happy Visiting NRIS. I put up at Mumbai....So feel free to contact for any possible SEVA. SSA SANGAT JI.

Wudnt take a lot of time for u to answer More sikhs spread in India than in Punjab. what do they do. Be treated as Muslims as of today in India ie.. Outsiders.?????????????????????????????? U think that will be a better treatment of sikhs as to how sikhs are being treated today. Hindus In Punjab ...what do they do...call themselves after formation of Khalistan ?Punjabis...Khalistanis ....Indians...Refugees....Liberated......Freelancers rather????????? Man....this is sad. Im in India and Im glad that the scene is not so bad here...although wiked mind is everywhere but people atleast know that we have hair inside the piece of Cloth, and we are damn serious abt it. These are the real moments of weakness....and very difficult to overcome. This is a little off-hook but the master communicator Tony Robbins talks in his Books about Changing the Mind Set from one stage to other in matter of Minutes.That has worked for me a lot of times especially in times of Distress. The ultimate way to overcome such situation is of course SGGS ...but in such times you need something quite immidiately before you become very week. Following gurmat practices will make us all strong in some time ...but this what I just mentioned, could be a little helpful in real uptight situations. WJKK WJKF.

I think because all of us want sound very dynamic yet pure, we talk about Virtual things like Khalistan. What kind of Injustice u think is being now done to the SIkhs n India. Instead of feeling sorry for the unfortunate event we are already playing the blame game...is this all what modern sikhi is about...."kill the killer" but there something also known as "save the survivor" . There could be anyone behind the act "Hindu Extremists" Muslim Terrorists or Sikh Militants but but why are we so judjemental in our views and take a defensive stand against any particluar community .

I dunno abt Yogi Bhajan Singh and the Yoga teachings that he practices however i no that here in Mumbai,India my SIs and Mom practise yoga based on Wat Swami Ramdev Ji teaches on TV and they have improved their health and diseases and to an extnt that my sis and even i practise yoga the feeling itself is so enlightning. I wud Like to THANK this Person and Living GUru who without keeping ny differences has envisioned a healthy INDIA and then a healthy WORLD ....never in his excercises does he bring out ny differences in religon and treats all of the people equally and I respect this man...im glad that this man is doing such a wonderful job.......my grandfather who had given up all hopes and even doctors dint provide ny concrete stuff and then he started practising this SWAMIS simple to follow excercises and now ask me how my grandfather is all positive now. **One more thing that i want to tell over here is that why do we start comparing everything with Sikhism and then try to mke out differences and why dont we realize that there are so many gud people around with humble motives ,cant we simply Respect them for what they are doing are do we feel insecured that we might lose out on Sikhi Teachings (which is nt possible). **People start respecting gud people nt based on their religon and cast and Background.*** :| :nihungsmile: :e: :T: :TH:

Sat Sri Akal Sangat. Well Somebody asked OVEr here asked that if nyone is here in Mumbai to tell what has exactly happened. I stay at Matunga that is at one of the suburbs at which the Blast happened ****and im a live witness to the blast that happened in front of me and will post the pics frm my own digicam. My house is right next to the station and i was having my evening tea in my balcony of the Railway Flat where i stay and then this train was pasing by as ny other normal train ...thsi was only till the the blast sound captured everyones attention.....people started shouting and jumped out of the runnign train as soon as they came back to the senses to realise what had happened and even I was dumbstruck for a moment....*me and my family were very lucky as my Father had arrived a few minutes earlier ie 2-3 trains earlier*...and i was a little late for going out. **then the train halted and evryone jumped out of it and there was a lot of support frm common public ...i took my tools and helped people cross the rly fencing and some ladies also came to our place to inform their near and dear ones that they were fine....but the people who were in side the comptmnt that had blast were nt as lucky as the people tried to rescue the injured and battered bodies one by one on strecher ...polies was there but a little late (as usual) and then if nothing else but there were heavy rains and the Whole Mumbai Local Trains were halted because these serial blasts which took everyone by surprise....The rly coach was all debri in seconds but the Mumbai public did what ever they cud do** **Right now when im posting this message things are looking much better and the trains have started .Sad part is Death toll has risen frm 90 till yesterday evening to 190 today afternoon.abt 650-700 are injured and are in the Various hospitals ...the city has faught back like nything and most of all the common public has acted like true heroes...they offered water and tea to the commuter of the overcrowded buses as there was no other mode of Transport. If i need to explain the severeness of the Blast and intensity i can go on and on but the fact remains that it was a very Cowardly act by mankind and Foriegn Forces like LET have been suspected along with the D-Gang. Yes I do agree that we r self enemies theses days ...if we see a Youth Distarcted who takes up the initiative to be Humbly Speak with them ...instead we are lost in the Pride that we are the Only true sikhs....If ny one Asks Us a question on Logical Basis that why Shud we keep" Kesh ".............we have answers like ...the realization will come frm within and the question is nt answerable and if u dont feel like doing it dont do it....this is nt happening and that is nt what we Envision as true Sikhs we must follow the right path and show some light to others who are still in darkness and are getting lost.......We are More interested in knowing who are the Guys and Gals who are true Sikhs rather than focusing on who is nt and can be shared some Sikhi with.

Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh,[/size] Before nything ..First things First ...Whatever i describe in my post is completely my view and nt to generalize ny thing for ny 1. For a last couple of years i was just hoping that when will I get a chance to visit my own Punjab ...since i saw so much abt Punjab and Punjabis on TV...and last time I visited the place was too young to observe ny thing in details and draw a conclusion out of it...so finally when my family told me that we were planning a 1 week trip to punjab...i knndaa started looking forward towards it and finally the day I arrived and I boarded the Train frm Mumbai (where i stay in INDIA)the whole train was full of Punjabis and Sikhs which gave me preacqired feeling of Belongingness. Finally I reached my Destination Jalandhar where my Uncle was there to receive me and take us to his place where he stayed in Kapurthala.....right frm the beginning of My journey I started observing the things around and when i reached Punjab...my observations started taking shape as i wanted to know the actual Sikhi Scene in Punjab. The Journey was 4-5 day paisa vasool journey in every moment i wanted to feel that i was in the same Punjab of whose essense was spread across the globe and the origin of all that was the Punjab where I was ...the feeling itself is unexplainable.... -----the simple feeling that everyone overthere was speaking Punjabi made me overjoyed cozz im used to speakin Hindi and Marathi at my place of Living---- Nyways Coming to the main topic of Discussion that I wat ever i observed in GURUDWARAS ANd Golden Temple ....i saw the Sikh Youth of punjab initially in Kapurthala...most of them NRIS like cut surds and with Bikes roaming in search of ny glimpse of a Mutiyaar ...but none the less they had to be satisfied with their Bikes as their soul companion. Then when i visited a lot of Gurudwaras near by ...initally i was very disappointed with almost evry Sikh youth had either trimmed beards or were nt intersted(even keshdhari sikhs) in the Gurdwaras but the selected visitors of the holy place. The same was the case on the streets and markets...i was a little disappinted and a feeling that the origin of Sikhi is losing its Holiness and spiritual essence...to the extent that my feelings did nt change even when i visited the Golden temple..more than holiness and the Spiritual feeling of the place i was gripped by a feeling a strange sadness and Fear ..... @ ... ... .....this was the disappointing part that i explained in nt very brief manner ...but the positive outcome is there which i mentioned as Appointed part in the Title of My posts... .......Beginning with the same discussion that the Youth seemed to be distracted and the Sikhs were nt true pure ones i recollected that the Cut surds that i saw in the Gurudwaras were aactually doing seva and some of them evn with the Trimmed beards were with the Yellow patkas and were behaving with Utmost humbleness and respect ...in GOLDEN TEMPLE so many Monas were taking the Holy Dip and doing Ardaas and so many of then even took Gutkas and started with Paath...i was really Happy at this...the feeling now that was instilled was that the Sikhi has a long way to go and does nt rely on forcefull acceptance. :T: :e: :nihungsmile: :TH: **One more observation that i drew was that we always blame the Sikh Youth getting Distracted and trimming their Beard and So on ...but overthere i saw as many elderly Sikhs with Cut and trimmed Beards....but again having utmost shraddha in Guru Ji. I dunno what u people think of it but to me it was a trip with Mixed emotions and so many moods. I have a had change in my approach towards my fellow punjabis and Sikhs after that visit. I wudnt say Mera Bharat Mahan ....but at the same time i wudnt say that this is bad country now ...since i owe a lot to the Country and im lving in this country ... namak <admin-profanity filter activated> te main ni karni. I dont think the sikh holy land called Khalistan (the land of pure people)is gonna be so pure and u are going to attain every human right...bloody so many corrupt sikhs in Punjab itself. Some Sikhs are trying to change the current situation in India and making betterments in the current scenario of Indian Constitution(Manmohan Sing) and some re just finding reasons to proove this place is worse than hell and our so called Tailor made Holy Land is gonna be the most joust and free frm ny corruption .

I personally think How many times are we going to find the reason that we are the sufferrers and how much hatred will we devlop towards the human sociey which will belong to a community or a religon that had hurt us at some pt of time...This is a charcter just a fun image of Navjot Singh Sidhu who is no less than a Joker himself ...Siddhu himself has some of the best academic and other achievements to his credit which does nt the English he speaks and yet he potrays himself as senseless and mindless blaberer..who wants to Flaunt of his englsh speaking skills...how will a channel like Mtv nt make fun of such people.

I totally agree to each and every post over here ..that the sikh youth are badly getting distracted to materialistic world...and in the fear of losing the pace with which world is moving they tend to forget the real sense of life and of course give up on the true principles of Sikhi. Everyone over here is having only one appeal , that there has to be a significant change in the way the Sikh children are bought up ..so that they are sikhs nt because they are born in Sikh family but because they can, in any possible way understand the true meaning of Sikhi. .....But the Big Question is how can we bring abt that significant change.....I have a suggestion and an Opinion on this. The best way to make something appeal to someone is by preseting that very thing in a heroic manner and dynamic style...the same thing should br implemented over here that the Sikh history Should be presented in a very dynamic manner(the best way I can portray my example is the way Taranjeet Singh Of UK is makin a game on Sikh History named sarbloh Warriors with all the possible technology and as much efficiency in the Historic deyails as possibale and he is making it commercially free **www.sarblohwarriors.co.uk*)If we can do that I think we give them(youth) the reason to think that why is this Religon so unique and it is just a matter of giving them the thread and then they can carry it frm their on. Possibly what I want to say here is that if we cannot contribute towards this directly but we can definatley do something abt it by thinking abt it and spreading the word everywhere and provide funding for the Sikh Youth who are taking such initiatives. Having picnics and awareness by the Local Gurudwaras can definately help but ...honestly how many people turn up at Gurudwaras and at Such local camps........ probably forced by their parents..we need to do something that will tell them to do something by themselves but nobody enforcing nything. Cant we show that being pure.without smoking,drinking,abuse,druggs can be Dynamic and Modern...of course we can show that ...this will give a big Boost to Sikhi in a Big manner and that too Universally ..because we can make use of technology as we are doing over here..the shout wud be heard across the globe nt in a county,town,state or Country. Some of the things that i cud think of, that can help reach close towards what we Desire....Religeous Animation,3d Games,Books abt Sikh Military and their Contribution,Activity of Sikhs In various walks of life on channels and Media,Digital Religeous Music......plz remember im nt telling ny one to deviate in nyway frm nything wat Sikhi says and wat the message is..... this is just to give the First Step Towards the realization.. Im a Sikh ...i go to Church...I even go to Hindu temples and find ample peace and Divinity ..the reason is that i pray to almighty the one above all religons ..castes...I as a Sikh havent been taught that I shud nt go to ny other worship places other than Gurudwaras...more than my sikh friends there muslims and Hindu Friends who come to Gurudwaras does that mean that they have betrayed their religon or should I call that they have respect for my religon. Plz people treat all religons as equals.We are nt here to waste our time proving that our religon is Superior or other religions are nt Ideal.... If we really wnna show that we are true Khalsas then lets start Practising Seva and show compassion without any arrogance to other Beings. Are we all following the true path shown by our Ten Gurus...I see so many Sikhs in Gurudwaras nt even ready to pass a smile ...what has made you so proud I ask them in My Mind...They are all wealth driven and wearing a Turban and Beard is just Nt enough A true Sikh will never have any feel of Insecurity or Jealousy . The First Step is just Dont Feel Guilty and dont think that Nobody is accepting you as Sikh ...If you are a Nice Human Being that is Definately more important as Guru Jis Primary Objective was and that is what we want to show by wearing a Turban and a beard ,the differnce is that you are nice person but u r nt showing that by having a Sikh Identity and being SIkh is more abt being Free frm any Burden or Stress and Live A Free Life as shown by Guru Gobind Singh Ji..THE FIRST THING IS WITHOUT HAVING ANYTHING IN YOUR MIND JUST START GOING TO GURUDWARA near by...beleive me everything will Follow.Youll get all the answers .
