Arjun is a Hindu name and I don’t want Hindu names like Shiva Arjun or whatever I want pure Punjabi Sikh names original ones, those with Persian influence like Mirza and Fateh and Zorawar are ok too

Hi everyone, I’m not sure if anyone else has mental illnesses or issues but I’m diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety. I think I have BPD too to an extent but never got that tested. Anyway does anyone else have any mental health problems. Don’t you feel that the Sikh community literally does not care at all if you’re struggling mentally and instead hide it or look down on you or pretend you don’t exist? For example a lot of Punjabi parents will straight up deny the existence of depression. I think this isn’t good because it octracises like 5% of our population…

Iirc Doaba Sikhs are more influenced by Hinduism. Malwa Sikhs are the most religious and traditional. Majha are known to have beautiful folk ? It’s common for a lot of Punjabi men who migrated to the west to be from Doaba. Doaba are known for being business practical. Then they brought malwa or majha wives. Like my mother is Malwa and my dad is Doaba Also dialect differences too! I like malwa Punjabi the most. Malwa also has the most Jatts. Malwa has most Scythian DNA too according to genetic tests (as Scythian peaks in Haryana Jatts) and they’re right by each other

I didn’t know where to post this (in either Sikh history or what’s happening), but I’m curious as to what mahants and masands are? I’m asking because my mother used mahant in a derogatory way towards my father and I’m curious if mahants the same as masands? Are they considered bad?

Has no one noticed this? Or am I hallucinating? Sikh youth usually try to emulate black culture while Hindus try to emulate white culture. I've totally noticed this and I feel a bit sad because cultures like that go nowhere. East Asian people try to emulate white culture, or at least respect it. Meanwhile, no offence, but generally communities with a lot of issues and low aspirations emulate black culture. All of our children are listening to horrendous rap songs and thugging it out on the streets (or at least attempting to). It is similar to how Arabs in European countries emulate black culture (notably, France) as well as Latinos in the US and whatnot... it doesn't help that our own Punjabi media promotes gandh. I know I'm going to be attacked but idc anymore, this is a significant issue imo. I've already been attacked enough lol

Well, they will be friendly in public but secretly they look down upon us. I know for a fact they hate being associated with Indians or Pakistanis (even though they literally border one another) or even Arabs and think of themselves as more white. Forcing a theocracy (and enforcing religious doctrine and values) on a people who want anything but that will lead to cultural stagnation and decadence. You see Iranian people in the west renounce anything Islamic and instead adopt some sort of weird materialistic culture. I mean, despite our faults at least we are very proud of our religion, heritage, and customs & values (even the non religious and moneh Sikh). Yes I totally agree. People who were born in Sikh families yet haven’t taken Amrit are still very proud and supportive of Sikhi so I see no reason why to act superior or not support them… maybe they will find the proper path themselves one day. And that's why their flag symbol resembles the 'khanda' symbol supposedly... apparently his family had settled in UP in India. By the way, I don't like Iranians much! They're the Muslims that are typically least proud of being Muslim and distance themselves from their country/culture as much as possible! When they go to the west, they consume the worst parts of western culture and try to emulate it. They also look down on Pakistanis/Afghans/Indians for being darker and 'uglier' and backwards.
