  1. check this out... http://www.vsocial.com/video/?d=21950 , it's a pretty funny video called This Week in God, I think it's on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart... peace to all fateh..
  2. Sangat Ji, I want to take this oppurtunity to familiarize you with a new, young raagi jatha who is currently in America, and their kirtan is wowing the sangat. It is the jatha of Bhai Baljeet Singh Ji (Jabalpur wale), Bhai Jaswinder Singh Ji, and Bhai Gajjan Singh Ji. They claim their style is classical, but it is much more than that. The first time I heard their kirtan, it was truly amazing. Their website is: www.bhaibaljeetsingh.co.in You can go there and download some of their kirtan files. Some of their live kirtan I have recorded can be downloaded by clicking here. Sangat Ji, again, please listen to their kirtan, it is very good (especially the live recorded files, amazing). I just thought I'd share this great shabad kirtan that I came across with my fellow brothers and sisters so that you all can experience it too... :D peace to all... WJKK WJKF
  3. WJKK WJKF Anybody know what's going on with Sikher and when it's supposed to be released? Really looking forward to it... Anybody? Perhaps someone from the Sikher team? Thank you... WJKK WJKF
  4. Khalsa 123, May Waheguru continue to bless you no matter what decision you take. Become a sikh and I'm behind you 100%. Don't, and I'm still with you 100%. It's been nice getting to know you these last few days, and you're a good kid. If you can't be a practicing sikh, then take only the sikh principles with you, because they themselves will help you through the good and bad times of your life. I think you should stay in contact with this forum, for whatever reason. You don't have to be a sikh to post here. And PM me if you want to talk any time. :D Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  5. All halloween is, is fun for kids... And just leave it at that... Let em enjoy and eat candy... Everybody take a chill pill... fateh (ps, i knew this topic was going to come up at some point... Halloween and Sikhism)
  6. khalsa... a lot of your questions, really have no answers... just follow the sikh way of life (rehat maryada) and do your paath, try to understand gurbani all you can, remember waheguru as often as possible, and be a good person and a good sikh... that's the answer to all your questions and all you really need to know for the most part... and i promise, you'll get to wherever you want to be in life.... bhul chuk maaf......
  7. check out www.shoutcast.com you can set up a server online, and broadcast your station to whoever you want to reach. It's free, but it requires a bit of changing your computer settings, they give you detailed descriptions on the site... there are some paid services too, and they are real easy to broadcast from, because you don't have to change any settings, but the downside is that they cost money, you can search for these by googling server internet radio station... wjkk wjkf
  8. I made a mistake a few years ago when I was dumb and had no guidance, by wearing a cap once in a while... I regret every minute of it and wish I could take it back... First of all, it looks so stupid on sardars... Second of all, it is COMPLETELY against sikhi..... so don't wear a cap.... thanks bul chuk maaf
  9. wait wiat wait... what's this... i didn't know you could download free games on the psp.... my brother-in-law has one... how do you do this? you never have to buy games then? please explain... thanks... fateh
  10. yes, many of bhai joginder singh riar's tunes are of bhangra songs, but i think he's great... at first he comes off as a bit of a different style, but his kirtan is amazing... not all of his shabads are copied from bhangra songs... last time i went to india, i bought a lot of his cd's and i really like them....

he's right you know... i started to play tabla by myself, and i can play to almost any shabad, but it doesn't sound as good as people who took lessons... and it never will, this could be because i taught myself the wrong way, and they say that it's harder to teach somebody who already has practiced doing it wrong, than a person who has never even touched a tabla... so i agree with papi... get a teacher and don't try it on your own... i heard of a computer tabla course, i don't know if it's credible or not, haven't heard anything from people actually using it............. fateh
  12. yes, like namstang mentioned earlier, you need a codec (I recommend K-Lite Codec Pack) or DivX Codec installed on your computer. This can be downloaded free from the internet. http://www.divx.com or http://www.k-litecodecpack.com and installed very easily. i use the k-lite codec pack which has a small media player installed with it. i have tested these videos and they work fine. Any more questions, I'll be glad to help.. fateh
  13. no problem, bro........... anytime.......
  14. you can download a program, made by windows and microsoft, it's called powertoys for windows, and it has an image resizer... let me even give you a link... it's the best thing in the world... http://download.microsoft.com/download/whi...wertoySetup.exe clicking that will download the install file, and it installs right into windows... just right click on the image and the resize option will appear, just like everything else appears (such as properties, rename, delete, etc)... very simple, easy and practical.. (sounds like i work for the company, right? haha...)
  15. no get it modded in india... i took a ps2 for my cousin once and got it done there... i don't know bout your cousin, but mine liked being in charge of getting it done, and plus he knew a guy that mods it..... it's cheap and practical and it just makes more sense and less of a headache for you................
  16. i don't think anybody in the world could have said it better than that right there........
  17. Sangat Ji, As requested by Namstang, these debate files are now being hosted at www.sikhness.com... you can click here to access them at any time or visit the media section of the site. Thank you.
  18. Singh Ji, No, it's in the USA, in the state of Maryland... (near D.C./Virginia)
  19. Singh Ji, We can host them on www.sikhness.com as well... have space and bandwidth available.....
  20. sorry ji, but my comments weren't directed at the beard. there's a tv commercial here in america where there's a guy who says "gellin like a felon"... it's a funny commercial, and it's a funny line also i think... that's why i wrote it... sorry for the misunderstanding... and jasdeep singh, i'm sorry but i disagree with your opinion... i agree that gelling it to the point of it looking like it is part of your cheek skin is not cool... and even any kind of over gelling, but sometimes, you have to keep it from coming untied, so you need to apply a little amount or hairspray sometimes... of course the free flowing beard is the best, but sometimes you need to tie it, for numerous reasons which again, have already been discussed in this post previously... we're again missing a major point, that the man who started this post, has decided to stop trimming and wants to keep his hair... and nobody really addressed that... we're sitting here fighting about whether gelling is manmat or not... the best answer on this whole topic i believe was given by hardeep singh previously...
  21. is that guy a atheist? no, he's a magician... his tricks are amazing
  22. Remember 84: Let the silence be heard.
  23. why not? what's the big deal? you need to lighten up man... i don't think that the "random silly comments" were targeted to you or offensive to you in any way... if you felt that they were for some reason, then i'm sorry... fateh.....
