  2. you may not agree with someones opnion, but thats no reason to mock their values. if you re-read the original post, you'll know that the problem is not communication. its what it can lead to. MSN is like a catalyst for the five vices to take hold, when overused or used for the wrong purpose. this is your opinion. i respect that. now please try and do the same for others. waheguru jee ka khalsa, waheguru jee kee fateh
  3. when you look at it like that... maybe admin could check pm's of people under moderation (if thats possible) or take that privilege away from those who abuse it banning people may be silencing a vioce, but if that vioce is abusive, rude etc it needs to be done maybe we jus need stricter moderation
  4. i agree 100% but admin should go further. GET RID OF THE PM FUNCTION!!! its nothing but trouble delete all posts, start again get rid of gupt section moderate all posts before approval once you have banned a member, dont let someone with the same IP sign up to the forum!!! ok, reading that back its a lot of work for admin. but its got to be done!

  9. have a heart people!!!! bhaji was being sincere, he actually thought it was international womens day! it was probably me being rude, thinking it was an april fool i have a tendancy to be extra suspicious of everyone on april 1st anyway, happy international womens day for march 8th

  12. forgive me if im wrong...nowhere in this article do they say that they SUPPORT badal. look how they begin the article: it seems a little sarcastic (which is gud), rather than supportive.

  15. waheguru jee ka khalsa, waheguru jee kee fateh we always thought that one hukamnama should be taken each day. recently there was a bit of a disagreement we were told that we must take a NEW hukamnama after each full ardaas. this would mean a hukamnama after parkaash, and a new hukamnama before sukhasan. which is it?
  16. 1. Keep the tune simple (let sangat repeat after u) 2. Get a wkd Simran tune and work it in 3. Be spontaneous, if you feel like doing simran, or adding in a shabad JUS DO IT!
  17. sorry but i dont think there are any gurdwareh in brighton. ive just been on google maps and done a search, and there was nothing i tried gurdwara, sikh, sikh temple, all the usual ur talking about brighton in the uk right? unless theres a brighton somewhere else in the world that i dont know about
  18. ^ good points. i was just thinking about attachment, and how we're supposed to be detached from the world in sikhi. but in psychology we were told if a child doesn't have that initial bond with their primary caregiver theyll have some form of an insecure attachment, so that would mess them up for life coz they wouldn't have a secure base for future relationships etc. not sure how this all fits in and whether it clashes with sikhi or not...
  19. waheguru jee ka khalsa, waheguru jee kee fateh im studying psychology at the moment, but im nowhere near being a psychologist. there are loads of different fields of psychology. what did u want to know?
  20. Hence the term 'manmat.' clapping is not acceptable in Guru Sahibs darbar. imagine this situation.... you're at the Gurdwara and you're trying really hard to concentrate and with Guru Sahibs kirpa your mind stops wandering and becomes attuned to Gurbani... and then someone starts clapping. thats gonna break your concentration straight away. im sure there are many other reasons, but one is consideration. clapping may be a huge distraction for some, we have to consider others feelings before thinking, what works for ME. alcohol is forbidden, lets go get plastered. please explain how refraining to break someones concentration is 'religious hypocrisy.'
  21. waheguru jee ka khalsa, waheguru jee kee fateh! there isnt really a need to push your stomach in or out. just leave it alone, breathe in and sing then when you run out take another deep breath sit with your back quite straight, hopefully that should help. waheguru jee ka khalsa, waheguru jee kee fateh!!
