  2. With maharajs beant kirpa, at the end of kamaee camp you feel left so so inspired and uplifted- its not just the amazing three days of non-stop kamaee, but also the constant sangat of Maharaj and their beautiful gursikhs. Benti to all sisters to come experience and share this jewel, that we have been so privileged to be blessed with.

  6. An important thing to always do with an issue you face, is to find out,- ask yourself, and research maybe,- WHY exactly you experince it- get to the root, Understand it, Understand the 'enemy' and understand 'yourself' 'Ultimate exellence lies in not winning every battle, but defeating the enemy without ever fighting, the highest form of warfare is to attack strategy itself' - <Sun Tzu, The Art of War> So WHY do we experince kaam? because of reproduction, right..? For example, On average, males may find women with an hour glass figure more attractive, as it indicates that she has a healthy womb--which means healthy offspring, genes passed successfully e.c.t Its not really the things you think about, but rather just subconsiously, 'wired' into the brain. There are many other exmaple of this, but i wont go into them, cos thats not the focus. The important bit is that you understand the reason for kaam, and that is>>mother nature doing its thing..<<mother nature wants us to experience all other things too, anger, attachment, ego, greed, beacuse all those things help us to 'develop' as a human race. for example, someone may become attatched to their partner, this is so that they remain together, and that the kids have a 'better' chance of surviving and being successful..((but not neccessarily) and so they can too pass on their genes, e.c.t e.c.t, the human race continues.. So, Next, we have to understand what WE, as gursikhs want. WE want to become above that, be above natural animal desires, e.c.t, We want to become one with ourselves, maharaj. That means, erasing the ego, which means overcoming the desires that feed it, you control them, they dont control you, Man jeete jag jeet, conquer the mind, conqur the world....which means you conquer yourself, and become one with maharaj. I hope that made sence, if it didnt, i apologise, i'm not a clear writer Also, apart from that, another thing you can do, is condition your mind.. when you look at a bibi/baba, *force* yourself to see them as your brother and sister, (that sounds a lil weird maybe) but over time, it will make a difference, and your mind will naturally condition and start beleiving that they ARE your brother/ sister, .....beacuse they are Maharaj created this technique for a reason, so that we focus on our priorities, of meditating, serving others, e.c.t, steps towards erasing ego, rather the increasing it. Also, Also Also.....highly recomend,..doing ARDAAS, it will sort it out, gaurenteed. You have to go and beg to maharaj, in complete submission, complete emptiess, and humility, Maharaj i have nothing, i cant do it, YOU give me the ability to overcome these desires, I cant, You give me the focus and the love, I'm nothing maharaj. Pull me out But it all depends on how badly you want it. Sorry for anything out of order.
  7. NagarKeertan is on the 16th, and amrit sanchaar is always a day before the nagarkeertan...but then again...as Baba ji's barsi is going to be in december, i'm guessing there will be an amrit sanchaar then too..so..perhaps we may not hav the november one..unless we are having two!! OOOOO!

    Dancing

Its not about wrong or right, there is no wrong or right, its just a preference. Its about your priorties as a person,..what is going to help or take you away from acheiving YOUR goal...and as a gursikh, the ultimate goal is brahmgyaan..so...think independantly, how is going to the prom influencing your priorties ..helping...or distracting..? e.c.t
  11. Perhaps this reply may seem irrelevant, but the question is also irrelevant(i dont mean that in an offesnive way) but in sikhi terms. There is a buddhist parable of a man and a poisoned arrow. A man has an arrow in his eye. All gather around and ask questions, 'who shot the arrow, what is the shooters name, why did he shoot it' e.c.t ...the man is in terrible pain, asking these questions will not remove him of his anguish. Kamai karo, bani di khoj karo, drench yourselves in maharaj, brahmgyaan mil ke aapa pata lag jaoo-ga. emi ah ki time waste? Maharaj ji : kavan s vaelaa vakhath kavan kavan thhith kavan vaar || What was that time, and what was that moment? What was that day, and what was that date? kavan s ruthee maahu kavan jith hoaa aakaar || What was that season, and what was that month, when the Universe was created? vael n paaeeaa pa(n)ddathee j hovai laekh puraan The Pandits, the religious scholars, cannot find that time, even if it is written in the Puraanas. vakhath n paaeiou kaadheeaa j likhan laekh kuraan || That time is not known to the Qazis, who study the Koran. thhith vaar naa jogee jaanai ruth maahu naa koee || the day and the date are not known to the Yogis, nor is the month or the season. jaa karathaa sirat(h)ee ko saajae aapae jaanai soee || The Creator who created this creation-only He Himself knows.

    Dating

didnt read all of the posts, but Its not about being modern, or sticking to old 'traditions', its about your priorities as a sikh, and dating just doesnt logically fit in. Think about why you want do date, go to the root of it, and see if that helps or leads you away from your goal as a sikh-to become one.
  14. isnt it 10th-16th august?
  15. why not? Paji is amritdhari, keeping kes is a part of his rehit. I never implied that you cannot do those things if you do not keep kes
  16. what's your promblem chantanga if someone can't love human how he/she can love TRUE GURU. If someone cannot love themself, how can they love their Guru.
  17. Paji, a gursikh once asked me this; 'If you were alone on a deserted island, would you bother shaving or trying to look good?' The awnser is no. No, beacuse no-one is there. As gursikhs, we keep our kes, (aside from their beauty), because it means acceptance- accepting your true nature. Acceptance is so important in the path of self-realisation paj, acceptance is humility, and humility means being empty, and only if you are empty can you be filled Cutting your kes will only diconnect you from your truth even further, and the aim of Sikhi is to unite. I dont intend to offend you by saying this paj - but do you want to be a guy who is imprisoned by the world? or do you want to be that mahaan khalsa who is liberated, beyond all sensation, and holds the world in his palm. (also - you can never break amrit, you can only break rehit. Amrit is beyond 'breaking')
  18. I agree with ' THE WARRIOR'. Kaljug is a state of mind when you are NOT one with Maharaj, it 'ends' when you become Ni(no/without)haal(state of being). jo nar dhukh mai dhukh nehee maanai That man, who in the midst of pain, does not feel pain.
