  1. The goggles are designed to protect the impact of a plastic paintball which is designed to explode on impact, not a concrete floor at high speeds. Everything has a threshold and that must be adhered to and respected. If you intend to ride at high speeds, then I wouldnt go out with less than full leathers and a helmet.
  2. Nothing can replace maturity and sensible driving.
  3. yes.............. coventry and slough constitute as "everywhere"
  4. Ill start it when I get home
  5. Can we have a "Images of Chandi" thread next please
  6. Shiv Ji isnt drawn with a beard because it is a sign of everlasting youth, in the same way that Baba Sri Chand is never depicted with a beard.
  7. If being a "Sikh" is having the mentality, hatred, narrow mindedness, venom and bitterness of Sarpanch, then id rather not class myself as one. You have never said anything that is reflective of the teachings of the Guru, you only pop up on threads which allow you the chance to throw venom at Hindus. Its people like you who create tension within communitys, the amount of hatred you have caused on youtube and other sites is not seva for the panth, it is making issues worse. You have come into Sikhi through hatred, the ideals of revenge and retaliation, and thats how you will continue your life. People who fuel this kind of hatred are not interested in Dharam, not interested in the harmony of faiths and communitys. Take a look at the Gurus and compare their way of parchar with yours, read sidh gost and see the intellectual way that Guru Nanak expresses his Dharam, then compare that with your youtube morcha of hatred. No devta is equal to nirgun waheguroo, but they have their own place, even devtas can fall from grace so that at least shows the manukh that only Akaal is without flaws. Whatever level Shiv Ji was at, you'll never come close to it.
  8. I remember when I went to India 10 years ago, on the bus from Delhi airport to the bus station there was a sign on the front seat which said "Please check under your seat....... there may be a bomb" lol
  9. Another great post! Would it be possible to post these at bigger sizes?
  10. The first adnarishwara image is fantastic. Thanks for posting it
  11. Its about people who used to keep their kesh and then cut it
  12. Harbhajan Singhs catch at the end of the match was fantastic!
  13. If you really wanna keep Aad Guru Granth Sahib away from flies and the bad air, then laminate the angs of Guru Granth Sahib and put it in a air tight box, where the granthi can put his hand into the box with surgical gloves and turn read through like they did in Crystal Maze lol.
  14. They're wearing a standard chola and dastar, how else you want them to dress?
  15. Whatever you do takes effort, you should make the effort to learn punjabi and be able to understand Gurbani. You can easily learn Punjabi if you put in about a months effort, thats minor compared to the understanding you will get after that. The best resource is a steek, read a couple of angs of Gurbani a day, and then slowly go through the steek to understand the arth, padarth, historical refferences and spiritual meanings. English translations only go so far. In time you will gain better understanding of Gurbani, the words and the meanings, and eventually you wont even need to refer to the steek, you will be able to understand as you listen to it. I personally read the arth in various steeks, faridkot and prof sahib singh, and then read through the english translation. Compare meanings from different sources and it only helps you gain more understanding of the Gurbani, everyone has their own personal perception and its important to see Gurbani on different levels.
  16. Food which is not organic is the main cause of facial hair in women, it creates a hormonal imbalance, more in some women than others. If you look at women in India, you will not find any of them with facial hair, because they always have organic food, maybe in the future younger girls will start getting facial hair there because they have started to use chemicals on their crops.
  17. The father of the child should prepare water and pattaseh in a batta, stir them with a kard/kirpan while reciting Japji Sahib and Anand Sahib. Depending on the family, some recite Chandi Di Vaar and other yudh banis from Sri Dasam Darbar. Once ardas is done, the child is given a few drops from the batta by placing the the tip of the kard in its mouth, the rest of the batta is finished by the mother of the child. This is the first initiation into a Sikh family, and the water prepared should ideally be the first thing the child tastes, and Gurbani should be one of the first things the child hears on entering this world.
  18. www.gurmatveechar.com has a good raag kirtan section
  19. Some Sikhs are bigger racists than the BNP o_O
  20. The BNP have extreme hatred for muslims, similar to the extremist Sikhs, thats why they can relate with each other. Everything starts at grass roots, if there was proper education and parchar which attracted the average Sikh at the Gurdwara, then these issues wouldnt arise. Sikhi isnt spread through shouting at someone, or by nitpicking, it is spread through support and an extended hand. If our Gurdwaras were a place of true inspiration then much more of our youth could relate to Sikhism and its tenants. Yes there are allot of good programes which happen in our Gurdwaras, but soemtimes not enough and not in the right way. The average sikh wants to understand what the paati is saying, they want to understand the universalism of sikhism. Its easy to point out the problems when they have happened, but from what ive noticed everyone shouts about the problem but never comes to a solution of how to tackle it. There are ALLOT of confused youths out there, and to be honest they will remain confused until someone reaches out to them. Most of them find Sikhs unapproachable, then you wonder why there is a gap between the "true sikhs" and the average sikh. Years ago there used to be a good circuit in the Sikh Societies, but that seems to have died down The centre of a Sikhs life is the Guru, and it is the Guru who should be promoted, forget everything else for now. There should be proper sessions where Gurbani is discussed, let the average sikh read and let them do some thinking about what the guru is telling us, take a ang and discuss the meanings, the teachings, and how we should apply that to our lives. Let each person, khalsa or not, sikh or not, mona or singh, whatever or whoever they are, put their own input into what they derive from the bani and discuss in an open and friendly manner. It is only the Guru who can pull together everyone int he Panth, else all there will be are gaps. If our youth have a close relationship with Gurbani then they can never go astray. Grooming of girls and conversions happen because people dont have a link to their dharam, their culture, their faith and their heritage. Joining hands with fanatic factions is only going to breed further hatred in our community and will only lead to more problems in the future. Joining hatred with hatred will never bring unity or peace.
