  10. Hopefully by getting youths together to have some good fun, in a safe environment, under the banner of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Also, by raising money for Promise Dreams charity http://www.promisedreams.co.uk/ at the same time. When we celebrate our own birthdays, marriages and births of our children we throw big parties and events for everyone to attend and share our joy, so why not celebrate 300 years of Gurugaddi of our Guru Ji by having some good competitive fun and rasie some money for a good cause. Hopefully we will attract youths that may not go to the Gurdwara on this auspicious occasion, and we can educate them about what 300 years is all about. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

  16. wjkk wjkf I worked for a bank at one time and they had a stand at the Mega Mela at the NEC (this is going way back now) and as i was Sikh, was asked to attend the baknks stand. I was attending with a gori who worked at one of the banks baranches in a very asian area so knew punjabi quite well. Anyway, the gori and I were walking in the Mela to the shop to get some food and a couple of indian girls were walking past us and one of them rudley bumped into the gori while her mate was muttering, "Kidha gori naal firda" and gave me a pretty dirty look, which i thought was quite funny (I love it when people judge on appearances, its so silly), but my friend the gori heard and turned around to them and said "thuhanoo ki aa, sapp larrda" (or something along those lines, was a while ago and cant remember the exact words now), and you should have seen the look on the indian girls faces, it was sooooo funny. Moral of the story, dont judge on apperances..! wjkk wjkf
  17. My man smashed it, best shot in the world. he did good. plus on the bbc news site it says; "Reports said that the shooter's family had organised prayers ahead of his contest in Beijing. "We are very proud of our son. He has done a great thing for the country. We will be rushing to [the capital] Delhi to receive him when he returns on Thursday," news agencies quoted his mother Babli Mishra telling reporters. Mrs Mishra said the family would visit Punjab's famous Golden temple to "pay obeisance for his success". Good on his folks, they going to Harmandir Sahib.
