  1. Yeah that question idea is awesome . We used to do this thing here where young kids would ask questions and young adults would try to answer. So that way every1 learns sumthing. Make sure u filter the questions though... haha use the same No Threads Aloud, that sikh sangat does :D
  2. The points under "Some of the problems with dating" are very valid. heck yes :WW:
  3. :D :umm: :D:D, I think all of these happen to most indian famillies, in or out of india
  4. lol, i think people want to express how shocking this video was. Very very very very goreeeeee (yeah i mean very very very very white girl)
  5. One movie that i rly liked that really messed with my head was Memento, ............i also like beauty and the beast :D ))))
  6. i used to have same problem. Ummmm do u stick ur thumb into the kapra when u tie it ? and do u pull on it , so that its like not loose? and how do u start and i need english grammer classes
  7. very very good question, me and a singh were talking about something similar, and he brought up the idea of us being given free will, but we didnt rly go into detail, should b interesting to see what more knowlegable peoples have to say about thiss.
  8. k so me and Quest4Akaal were talking and he brought up a very intersting topic. He heard someone ask once that if god is supposed to be beyond ego, then why do we need to praise and worship him? I wanted to know what the online sangat thinks of this in relation to sikhi.
  9. I know ur kinda askin for peoples opinions and all, i cant say anything that lonely kaur bhenji hasnt said alrdy, but i can say that i found this a very very inspirational read
  10. Hmm i really love this salok from sukhmani sahib, its helped me tons. http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=916
  11. hmmm i dont know if this will help, but i love listening to bibi snatam kaur to relax, you can find some of her tracks on youtube.
  12. Don't know about it being just for show... I was told by a gurmukh that when you're meditating (or in my case, trying to meditate) then it's extremely easy for the mind to wander. Therefore, using some sort of basis for your senses helps the mind to settle down. TOUCH: When you use a mala to do simran, your mind focuses (through your nerves) on the mala. SMELL: Some Gursikhs use incense to stop the nose from wandering (esp if you have the smell of hot pizza right outside your room) SIGHT: Most Gursikhs close their eyes but you can focus our eyes on a stationary object, and I've found that it helps (and it helps from falling asleep!) SOUND: If you repeat the mantr aloud then your ears will adjust to that one sound and not be distracted as easily. And once again about the tuks, people have different interpretations. For example, the second one, I would take that as Bhagat Kabeer trying to highlight his pyaas for Akaal, and in that statement, he's saying, "I want Darshan of Akall so badly that I can't even sit still and do my bhagti." I don't take it to mean that he's actually denouncing the mala, just that he's so in love with Akaal that it's all he can think about. :TH: i like
  13. wow bro, thats rough, i didnt think things like this happened in amritdhari marriages
  14. YO ATS PERFECT GIVE ME DETIALS PLEASE
  15. Yeah i agreee with Quest4Akal, ive been doing gatka for a few years and ummmmm its not all that , sure i love the high jumping and the looks i get from the bibiya but it still feels empty , hahahaha i couldnt resist , People shouldnt charge for gatka classes, it makes no sense at all charging to teach something that isn't going to benefit you in anyway pretty much. If you want to learn gatka for like tournaments or what ever, then yeah i guess go ahead, find a teacher that doesnt charge, ull learn the same thing, but if u want to learn something defend yourself in a funky situation...... dont learn gatka......

  19. Oh my, yeah i agree with mehtab bhaji, theres wayy to much junk on tv. Im probably wayy outa place for even replying to a marriage/family problem topic but i didnt rly understand what u meant by " the problem there is no connection between sikh girls and boys nowdays".
  20. wow , very rough read. Well for the friends part. I know what ur going through. I dont have any gursikh friends my age either, they are all older or younger older than me which is a blessing in it self. The older gursikhs are muchh wiserrr than me and the younger ones r pretty pure. But i can feel that "not havin any1 to talk to" thing. Funny thing i kinda found interesting when watching Evan Almighty LOL. Theres a part in the movie when the guy says " When we ask for patience, god gives the oppertunity to be patient, when we ask for courage, god gives us the oppertunity to be courageous", so point im trying to make is i think this is ur oppertunity to be in gods sanctuary. i keep thinking i spelled oppertunity wrong , well bro if it helps at all im ur age so if u wanna talk on msn or sumthing message me. And this was the shabad i used to get over losin some of my friends , hope it helps http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=2208
