Gurfateh Sangat Ji, Benti to all, has anyone recently been to Italy, (by plane, not boat, or by foot).. It would be great to get some feedback or any exeprience in regards to this, Dhanvaad, Daas. :cool2:

  10. Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh I know this Gursikh couple who went to watch movie at AMC theatre in Emeryville, CA. While the Singh was waiting in line, he was racially profiled and pulled out by the security guards. He was the only one who was searched as he was wearing a Dumalla. His kirpan was not visible at that point. He was searched and his turban was patted down. They saw the kirpan and asked him to leave the theater. When he tried to give them reasonable explanation, the security personal did not listen and said ," I know about Sikhs". They had to leave and their evening
  11. US Sikhs applaud lifting of kirpan ban at Gurdwara of Rochester News East-West NEW YORK: With Judge Mathew A. Rosenbaum, Supreme Court Justice in State of New York, delivering his verdict on Friday, a ban that restricted the carrying of the ceremonial sword -‘kirpan’ – at Gurdwara at Rochester in New York has been lifted. A local dispute between two Sikh groups had led a New York court to ban the carrying of kirpan inside the gurdwara in May 2010. Later, the court had allowed only the clergy to carry 6-inch and larger size kirpans. After protests by Sikhs in the US and elsewhere agains

  23. I am not against Hindus but I need to point out to you how just about all of them believe Sikhi is part of Hinduism. Below are the points they always, always raise in a debate. 1.) Hindus wear janeu, Sikhs kirpan. There is no difference. (This is a recent one). 2.) Because a majority of Hindus became Sikhs it must mean Sikhs are Hindus. 3.) Neo-Nazi Sikhs have changed shabds in Gurbani to suit themselves. (This is where Singh Sabha is slagged off). 4.) Guru Sahib used names of Hindu Gods and Godesses in Gurbani. This means Sikhs are Hindu. (They are getting quite creative with this mean
  24. Please feel free to correct and criticise me, I just listened to these two kathas and was impressed with the knowledge displayed. http://www.manglacharan.com/2011/05/chandi-pargat-hona-katha-by-giani-baba.html However I do not understand Shakti, was that Akal Purakh in one of his forms? I also do not understand the bit regarding Mata Sahib Kaur Ji. Is Akal Purakh's shakti in Kirpan? Hence is Kirpan chandi? How do we, in Gurmat, view Durga? How does our view of Chandi and Durga differ from Hinduism?
