Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Waheguru Ji Ki fateh!!

Gurbani is so great...

Bhai Harjinder Singh Ji (Srinagar vale)- the kirtani that initially got me interested in 'raagi' style did this shabad at one of the Atam Ras keertan darbars last year.

(don't know id=f the recordings are up on the net yet?!)

This Shabad is by Bhagat Kabeer Ji in Raag Raamkalee on Pannaa 970

tharavar eaek ana(n)th ddaar saakhaa puhap pathr ras bhareeaa ||

There is a single tree, with countless branches and twigs; its flowers and leaves are filled with its juice.

eih a(n)mrith kee baarree hai rae thin har poorai kareeaa ||1||

This world is a garden of Ambrosial Nectar. The Perfect Lord created it. ||1||

jaanee jaanee rae raajaa raam kee kehaanee ||

I have come to know the story of my Sovereign Lord.

a(n)thar joth raam paragaasaa guramukh biralai jaanee ||1|| rehaao ||

How rare is that Gurmukh who knows, and whose inner being is illumined by the Lord's Light. ||1||Pause||

bhavar eaek puhap ras beedhhaa baareh lae our dhhariaa ||

The bumble bee, addicted to the nectar of the twelve-petalled flowers, enshrines it in the heart.

soreh madhhae pavan jhakoriaa aakaasae far fariaa ||2||

He holds his breath suspended in the sixteen-petalled sky of the Akaashic Ethers, and beats his wings in esctasy. ||2||

sehaj su(n)n eik biravaa oupajiaa dhharathee jalehar sokhiaa ||

In the profound void of intuitive Samaadhi, the one tree rises up; it soaks up the water of desire from the ground.

kehi kabeer ho thaa kaa saevak jin eihu biravaa dhaekhiaa ||3||6||

Says Kabeer, I am the servant of those who have seen this celestial tree. ||3||6||

We often hear that a mother holds the responsibilty of the whole world in her strong serving hands. A mother sacrifices so much. A good father does the same and mans the household too. We are seeing society gradually accept the essential role of fatherhood by good companies granting paternity as well as maternity leaves, although the periods differ.

Parenthood is just a great blessing as is the (baarik) child-ren.

Please forgive me for my limited understanding.

Feel free to add any mindful real insight...

(in-stead of my utter murakhpunna)

...undeluded by doubt and/or de-nigh-al.
