NEED HELP QUICKLY!

I have a huge problem

im trying to reformat 2 of my computers

and so when i completely reformatted them

i htought it was all going fine and everything and then installation finishes

but then it restarts and that windows screen comes up with that scrolling bar thing

and it just freezes

ive tried to install xp 5 times already

and its the same result everytime

i have tried different versions

and i always delete the previous partition

some help me quickly!!!

also when i try going into safe mode it will hang at mup.sys

i have searched google

but it all seems so complicated

anyone wanna help?

Make sure your hardware compatibility with Win XP!!!!!!!!! If you formatted yo HDD and confirmed HCL with micro... but still have issue then I would recommend doing LOW LEVEL HARD DRIVE FORMAT and using DOS6.2 boot disk and use FDISK and FORMAT(I know its a pain if win XP not installation failed/freeze)

well from everything i read on the internet i figured i had to update my bios

so i updated my bios

but i can only start up in safe mode

which is better than nothing

but i still need to fix it

so lets go from safe mode now

umm i have the software yes

and it is legal

but nothing works

and i have no idea what to do next

What about the processor, motherboard, video card, etc on yo system are they compatible with win XP??

everything is compatible

as i have reformatted this comp before

but now it just went ape on me

If you can boot the computers with any DOS bootable then first get copy of MUP.sys file, I think it is corrupted and copy it from CDROM to the distination folder on your hard drive where setup files are coppied at then try booting system up. I think mup.sys is corrupted.

Also try setting default setting in BIOS don't change anything...let us know how far you can get....
