Has anyone taken the CompTIA A+ Certification or any network certifications like CCNA? If so please post when you took it, training course you attended, etc. I'm thinking of taking the A+.

I have registered my self to take MCSA, MCSD.Net, MCDBA and Biztalk :D @ i know i know i am a geek :T:

Total cost of training is £6500 excluding exam fees

i m working in a telecommunications company... and they recommended me to have Cisco certifications...

so i m preparing for CCNA (i got couple of routers and a switch too.. supervisor gave me.hehe)

me no traiing course..

just bought CCNA self study: from cisco press!!

so i wud suggest ..if u r going into networking and telecom... do not miss CISCO cetifications... cuz cisco products r used a lot.. except in few companies which favor ALCATEL.

Im think of taking it too, the degree I got hasnt got me any further up the career ladder. I'm in too minds to take either MSCA or A+.

How much does a UK A+ course cost roughly?

Is it useful in obtaining a qualification in this in regards to career prospects? and how?

Well I have got a MCSE 2003...

Taking up Linux and CCNA now...

Im not too sure abt the cost and all that coz the MCSE 2003 course + examination was paid by my previous company...

Any other certifications that is good to be taken up... pls do recommend

well kfi... u gota start sumwhere hena.. A+ might be for kids but mayb for sum1 who has just started learning it is not..

KFI, how old are you? You probably took the old test, try taking the 2006 and we'll see if you still think the same way, its always easier said than done. :TH:
