^^^ no offence but i fink Bhenjee was jus askin why is he so 'disliked'...i think... grin.gif

Anywho I did my journalists act during that night and this is the report:

The program was held on behalf of the 'Santh Singh Maskeen Jee Gurmath Trust' - they are doing these 'tours' in respect of the coming Gurpurb of Siree Guru Granth Sahib Jee.

Anyway after the Reharaas Sahib happened, Ardhaas and Hukumnaama - The Dadhee Jatha of Ram Singh did there share towards the program - they told the Sahkee of Bhai Manee Singh Jee when they did a Ardhass that all the Singhs that were in the jungles shoud come and they all could celebrate Deevalee etc - sorry I don't wanna get too much into the Sahkee

Next was Gyanee Preetam Singh - who did Kathaa on Kes and he knew his stuff PROPER - he was talking about statistics - like he knew how many Kes we have on our body and how many on our heads etc - He was really getting the Sangath to understand to make changes and keep your Kes - like when "kids" ask why do we keep our Kes - we should ask them why do you cut your Kes? etc

Gyanee Seethal Singh Jee Delivale'h's Jatha did Keerthan for a bit - gorjuss voice!

Bhai Anoop Singh Jee (Bhai Santh Singh Maskeen Jee's brother) was there - looks just like his bro! He blessed us with his presence in the Sangath!

Gyanee Inderjeet Singh Jee Derbyvale'h's Jatha did Keerthan and did some Veechaar at then end on 'Who is our Guru'? He got into the whole why do Sangath pay some much attention to people that pretend to be Guru's etc By now Bhai Joginder Singh Vedanthee had taken his "seat" in the Sangath

Next we had Gyanee Arjun Singh Jee who did Keerthan

Bhai Rajinder Singh Jee who come with the 'Santh Singh Maskeen Jee Gurmath Trust' and told who he was - he was this top - notch type Singh that did translating for the Kabul Parliament - he did translations of Santh Singh Maskeen Jee's Kathaas etc.

We next had one of the GNP Committee (ignore the spelling  ) inform Bhai Joginder Singh Vedanthee about what the Sangath want to improve or have happen to have Sikhism progress - sort of requests made by the Sangath - they were as follows:

- Media-wise we need programs for Sikhism - to represent the REAL Sikh Kohm etc

- Gyaan Vale'h Parchaarak - need REAL Vudeh to do Parchaar - and not have emhee random people preach about Sikhism etc

- Having Dasthaar'ya being unbanned from concerned countries - have the india government and the other governments talk about this issue and make them realise that the Dasthaar is part of our FAITH etc

- Multi-cultural marriages etc - they requested a reply on this - but as far as i've been told Bhai Joginder Singh Vedanthee already said no realted to this issue didnt he? :)

- Pakandee Bab'eh - need to do Parchaar on who our REAL GURU is!!

After this Bhai Joginder Singh Vedanthee was up on the mic to do his thing: he spoke on the following:

> 2008 being the Gurpurb of Siree Guru Granth Sahib Jee and the Johthee Johth of Siree Guru Gobind Singh Jee, few encourageing words ab0ut the 'Santh Singh Maskeen Jee Gurmath Trust'

> He spoke about how there are VERY FEW Sikhs in Europe

> He only makes decisions when he has listened - only then does he accept

> He went on to say how ONLY Shabadh is our Guru - he related this to Siree Guru Nanak Dev Jee's Sahkee of when they stayed at Ravee Kanaal - and did Langar Dhee Seva - and Ochaardh'd about Kirth and Keerthee - Kirth earning honest living and Keerthee - praising Vaheguroo - you need both you can't just earn your wages and take out Dhasvandh - you need to thank Vaheguroo - and how you can't just praise Vaheguroo you need to do Kirth aswell etc - how the two things go hand in hand etc) He also spoke about how Siree Guru Nanak Dev Jee did Ochaar about Nurgun and Surgun

> He did Veechar on how a Manmukh needs food - the body can't live without it etc - but what about the Aathmaa? the Soul needs Naam - a Soul can't survive without its food either

> He continued to explain that Siree Guru Granth Sahib Jee is not just a book is it our GURU - we need Shardhaa - TRUE Shardhaa not blind Shardhaa by bowin down to statues etc - there is no place for Pakandee Bab'eh and statues - further explanation into how Vaheguroo is ANEHK HAEH FEHR EHK HEH

> Further into how EVERYTHING is given at Guru Ghar ALL THE DAATHA'H that we want - we're never left empty-handed etc Related to this he quoted Bhai Gurdaas Jee's Banee which is translated as a Panchee never begs a Panchee - the human is the ONLY form that begs its own type for something (related to Pakandee Bab'eh)

> Bhai Joginder Singh Vedanthee then spoke on the Der'eh - the fault is our own that we turn to fake Der'eh - WE NEVER TAKE TIME OUT TO UNDERSTAND OUR GURU - never do we sit there and understand what our Guru Jee says - we read Gurbanee odhee - REAL SIKH READ FROM WITHIN - Related with this is spoke on what Siree Guru Nanak Dev Jee had said that a person that turns to a Pakandee Baba or believes in them will live in the circle of Chaurasee Lakh Joon'ah - people who join with the Gurbanee Shabadh will NEVER lose out! - Quoting Gurbanee of Banee Guru, Guru Haeh Banee - we need to believe in GuruJee in order to have our inner Gyaan Johth lit

> Related with Pakandee Bab'eh and Der'eh - he explained how if we want Sukh - then Jap Naam - don't go to Pakandee Bab'eh and Der'eh HAVE BELIEF in Vaheguroo!

And that lasted about 10 - 15 mins speech - and yes he did stay for Saukassan - As a whole I think he did alright! I won't go into what happened during the time of this Smagam and after - lets jus say Sangath get well excited when they see celeberties!

Thank you for reading moi speech :TH:

Good day!

    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
    • There was a young Singh from abroad who went to Anandpur Sahib Hola and got into a fight with some Punjabis who were playing loud non-religious music. He had bana and a weapon or two. There were more of them than him.  He ended up losing his life. Don't be like that. Not worth it to fight manmukhs. @californiasardar1 ਮੂਰਖੈ ਨਾਲਿ ਨ ਲੁਝੀਐ ॥੧੯॥ Argue not with a fool. p473
