SSA everyone.

I would just like to ask what the following verses mean for us as a Sikh. Could they be applied to us? Could it be a justification for dharam parchaar?

Panna 136:

I have adopted you as my son and hath created you for the propagation of the path (Panth).

You go therefore for the spread of Dharma (righteousness) and cause people to retrace their steps from evil actions".29.

Panna 138:

I have been sent into this world by the Preceptor-Lord to propagate Dharma (righteousness).

The Lord asked me to spread Dharma, and vanquish the tyrants and evil-minded persons. 42.

(I have been born) to spread Dharma, and protect saints, and root out tyrants and evil-minded persons.43.(I have been born) to spread Dharma, and protect saints, and root out tyrants and evil-minded persons.43.

really interesting questions, but i personally think that they can not apply to any one apart from dhan dhan shri guru gobind singh ji himself.

this are the words spoken by shri guru gobind singh ji when he was telling how and why he was sent to this earth? in other words you can say that these words are the communication between akal purak and dhan dhan shri guru gobind singh ji... this is guru ji's personaly life history.

these can be used for dharam parchaar but only if someone is talking from shri guru gobind singh ji's point of view. e.g. to justify who was shri guru gobind singh ji, why he came to this earth and what did he do etc...?

hope this helps, waheguru....

I agree with Veer Jarnail Singh Khalsa.

Just to add, I think these shabads for us personally are to make us firm in Guru Gobind Singh jees message and purpose of coming to this world. When we reflect on what the shabads say and what guru jee did in his life, it can only make us praise our guru and fall to his charana, maybe these feelings (anbuv) is what made Bhai Nandlal Singh jee write the following words: Nasaroo mashoor Guru Gobind Singh, Izdee man soor Guru Gobind Singh.
