WJKK WJKF,

The National Sikh Heritage Centre & Holocaust Museum is to be launched at Sri Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Princes Street, Derby on Sunday 23rd November at noon.

This is a soft launch to the UK Sikh Sangat to show unique Sikh artefacts such as the cannons of Maharajah Ranjit Singh, axe and pistol, Sikh memorabilia, exhibition on Sikh Women, exhibition on the Invasion of Punjab, Sikh timeline and the opening of the Sikh Archives Room.

Whilst this capability is still evolving it is important to present these artefacts to the Sikh Sangat in a multitude of channels through PC kiosks, classic exhibitions, literature and actual Sikh artefacts.

Phase 2 of this initiative will open in February 2009 and an official opening organised accordingly. This latter phase will promote the disappearing Punjab heritage artefacts and the Sikh holocaust to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the sacrilege to Sri Akal Takht Sahib Ji, Sri Harminder Sahib Ji, other historic Gurdwaras, destruction of Sikh artefacts and the genocide of innocent Sikhs.

This heritage centre and museum promises to appeal to all ages and backgrounds.
