I just wanted to know why some people say Baisakhi and why some people say Vaisakhi.

I have heard it both ways and I was curious as to why this was so.

If anyone can let me know, it will be a great pleasure :)

Thank you very much!

In bengali and other dialects it's Baishakha. There are 2 Bara mahas in sri guru granth sahib ji meaning God is above months and seasons. Anyways in Hindu calendar the spelling is slightly different from barah maha paath by sri guru arjun dev ji.

Months in the Hindu Calendar Month No. of Days Chaitra 30 Vaisakha 31 Jyaistha 31 Asadha 31 Sravana 31 Bhadrapada 31 Asvina 30 Karttika 30 Margasirsa 30 Pausa 30 Magha 30 Phalguna 30
