hi i was wondering what the word "gehrat" means, its in the context of "jehri koum de koon vicho gayee gehrat,oh aaj ki nahi teh oh kal vi nahiii"

Gehrat is a synonym of another punjabi word 'Izzat' or in English it is somewhat similar to 'proud' or 'reputation'.

I don't know if you know the word 'be-gehrat' its just opposite to 'gehrat' and is usually used in context when there is an 'Injury to a person's character'.
