ਲੂਕ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਬਿਖੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨੇਰ ਹੂ ਤੇ ਨੇਰਿਆ ॥

Lūk karaṯ bikār bikẖ▫ṛe parabẖ ner hū ṯe neri▫ā.

Secretly, I commit hideous sins of corruption, even though God is the nearest of the near.

ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

ਨਿਮਖ ਕਾਮ ਸੁਆਦ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਦਿਨਸ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥

For a moment of sexual pleasure, you shall suffer in pain for millions of days.

ਘਰੀ ਮੁਹਤ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣਹਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਪਛੁਤਾਵਹਿ ॥੧॥

For an instant, you may savor pleasure, but afterwards, you shall regret it, again and again. ||1||

ਅੰਧੇ ਚੇਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥

O blind man, meditate on the Lord, the Lord, your King.

ਤੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਦਿਨੁ ਨੇੜੈ ਆਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Your day is drawing near. ||1||Pause||

ਪਲਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਭੂਲੋ ਆਕ ਨੀਮ ਕੋ ਤੂੰਮਰੁ ॥

You are deceived, beholding with your eyes, the bitter melon and swallow-wort.

ਜੈਸਾ ਸੰਗੁ ਬਿਸੀਅਰ ਸਿਉ ਹੈ ਰੇ ਤੈਸੋ ਹੀ ਇਹੁ ਪਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ॥੨॥

But, like the companionship of a poisonous snake, so is the desire for another's spouse. ||2||

ਬੈਰੀ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਤਾ ਬਸਤੁ ਰਹੀ ਅਮਾਨਾ ॥

For the sake of your enemy, you commit sins, while you neglect the reality of your faith.

ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਹੀ ਸਿਉ ਸੰਗੀ ਸਾਜਨ ਸਿਉ ਬੈਰਾਨਾ ॥੩॥

Your friendship is with those who abandon you, and you are angry with your friends. ||3||

ਸਗਲ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਇਹੈ ਬਿਧਿ ਬਿਆਪਿਓ ਸੋ ਉਬਰਿਓ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥

The entire world is entangled in this way; he alone is saved, who has the Perfect Guru.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਓ ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੨੭॥

Says Nanak, I have crossed over the terrifying world-ocean; my body has become sanctified. ||4||5||127||

ਦੁਆਰਹਿ ਦੁਆਰਿ ਸੁਆਨ ਜਿਉ ਡੋਲਤ ਨਹ ਸੁਧ ਰਾਮ ਭਜਨ ਕੀ ॥੧॥

Ḏu▫ārėh ḏu▫ār su▫ān ji▫o dolaṯ nah suḏẖ rām bẖajan kī. ||1||

You wander from door to door like a dog, unconscious of the Lord's meditation. ||1||

Oh the Pain! when will we understand?? This katha is beautiful, it goes into that if WE dont even accept our bad deeds our miscomings how will we ask 4 forgiveness? We think that if we're behind closed doors no one sees us but Waheguru is Ever-present listening to ever thought that crosses our mind, We believe this illusion that God is far away but the truth is we can't even see the God the Jot inside ourselves, Our eyes are covered with so much mayl (Dirt) from looking at the opposite sex thru evil eyes full of kaam, How can we see Waheguru's Darshan? Our eyes need to be cleaned and Guru Sahibs bani is maha-pavitar that when we read bani our eyes are cleaned, the eyes that saw lust and anger when looking at the world now see God,, now see love,, now see God speaking talking in every being.

ਸਭੈ ਘਟ ਰਾਮੁ ਬੋਲੈ ਰਾਮਾ ਬੋਲੈ ॥

Within all hearts, the Lord speaks, the Lord speaks.

ਰਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਕੋ ਬੋਲੈ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Who else speaks, other than the Lord? ||1||Pause||

Trying to see the opposite gender prior to the same and see waheguru in them in all is quite a hard thing to do. Maskeen said it beautifully, kaam has all four mixed together, kaam has anger, greed, attachment and pride. Turning kaam into Naam ras isn't impossible though. Great post, I hope anger is posted next!!
