Can This Happen To Sikhs?

From the little I know about Buddhism I think its centred around being passive and calm. Not that I think it will ever come to this, but if something like the above would ever threaten Sikhism to an extent where it was in danger of dying out, I think Sikhs would fight back before that would happen. I'm probably looking at the issue very simplistically (or even optimistically). I don't know - I'd like to think there are still Sikhs in the world today who know right from wrong, but the way things are going right now I'm not so sure.

Maskeen jee was asked this same question on a train once by a Hindu travelling alongside who was comparing the "end" of Buddhism in India and questioning the survival of Sikhi. Maskeen jee gave a similar response, that Buddhism is centered around vichaar (philosophy) and sadhna (meditation), while Sikhi has the vichaar of the 9 Gurus and talvaar of the 10th Guru, so Sikhi/Sikhs can't be wiped out ever.

@ Mehtab Singh - I actually think Sikhi is in danger more in India than it is overseas. There's a mindset in India (Punjab, if you will) which seems completely wrong to me. Whilst the Indian government is up to its tricks as usual, Sikhs in Punjab aren't helping themselves either (the alcohol, the drugs, sexual deviancy, etc). Sikhs who reside outside of India probably have more of a "love" for their religion than those back home (possibly a generalisation but some will know what I mean). Again I could be wrong but I firmly believe this from what I've seen myself.

@Mehbat Jee - Talwar of both 6th Guru and 10th Guru.

@ I probably know which Katha of Maskeen Jee you are talking about - It is probably "H Andha, Turku Kaana".

but do we have the likes of Hari Singh Nalwa and Jassa Singh Alhuwalia, let's forget the likes of Baba Deep Singh and Banda Singh Bahadur (centuries produce 1 such Soorme).

There is 1 group in Punjab which is a full "Chamche" of the descendants of "Buddhist massacrers". I have also heard that latest Saropas given in Darbaar Sahib are not of Kesari colour but of Orange Colour as recommended by RSS and BJP.

Another Group has ties with murderers of Sikhs during 1984.

I feel sad on seeing the sort of links wrt "Decline of Buddhism in India", massacre of millions of Buddhists and the clever attack on Buddhism both from outside and inside penetration. Sort of something similar being done to Sikhs and Sikhism. !!!

Sikhi will never have a speck on dirt. The people who believe Sikhi are being attacked and their minds are being diluted. We need Sant Ji (or ourselves, we have the potential as well) to fix Punjab and set it right again.

It was due to Sant Ji that people started to leave nashay, daroo, and other horrible practices and went back to working honestly...
