Ravidasi Singhs ?

I believe our Sikh leaders are not doing enough for Sikhi. The downfall of Sikhi and Sikhs segregating into groups is the fault of our Sikh leaders. The Chamar community are a large part of Sikh community, (SORRY FOR USING CASTE BUT NO OTHER WAY TO EXPLAIN). Great Sikhs from their community have sacrificed and contributed to Sikhism. They have played a major role in Sikhism but due to caste discrimination certain Sikhs are not giving them respect.

Dera Ballan and similar groups have moved away from Sikhi but I'm sure one day will return. They at the moment are taking advantage of brainwashing youth to follow their new religion.

We Sikhs need to unite all our Sikh brothers and sisters like how our Sikh Bhagats/Gurus did.

Dera Ballan does not represent all chamar community but only a minority, mainly based in Doaba region. Chamar from other regions are firm believers of Sikhism.

The ones who are confused which side they belong to are a minority. Just because of a few bad ravidassis we can't label the majority who respect and honour Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji as their Guru.

We should treat all Sikhs equally regardless of which caste they belong to, that is what Guru Gobind Singh Ji did for us, he united us all together so why have caste in Sikhism, this really means we aren't real Sikhs if we follow castes.

Totally agree. With the point on Ravidassis, From experiance, the Ravidassias in the UK have rejected Ravidass Ji's Amritbani and have still held paraksh of SGGSji at their Bhavans. This includes the followers on Dera Ballan. A note on Dera Ballan, its the extremists who call the head of the dera a guru. Most called them a Sant, like you do any mahapurakh, (In the eyes of the Raviassis, they are Mahapurakhs) Yes they do do mathatekh to them, but you dont see that when they are visiting the ravidass temples, they dont force nor ask people to matatekh them.Agreed they should tell them not to do, but I guess thats people for you. Plus, these sants do do Matatekh to the sarup of SGGS when in SGGSjis Hazuri. (Although with recent events in the rest of the world this is their Amritbani)

We need dedicated missionaries to go out and speak to these people from pind to pind. Spread the real message of sikhi. Go meet these people who are feeling segregated and discriminated against, sit and eat at the same level as them, show them we're no different but the same. Its all good and dandy saying sikhis about equality etc but when it comes down to practicing it, we're afraid to eat or drink from their house coz their ancestors worked with the leather from our cows. Hypocrisy. Its no wonder all these deray exist. We've created them. They attract the poor and the segregated. We've literally pushed these people into these deray
