Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick to launch GNG Youth

In recent months the management team of Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick has been engaged in canvassing the views of the youth at the Gurdwara.

To meet the needs of the youth and to ensure they remain attached to the Gurdwara, GNG Smethwick will be shortly launching GNG Youth.

It is without a doubt that Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Smethwick has now become a hub for the entire community. In the last couple of years the Gurdwara has begun more and more youth activities, however to bridge the gap between the Gurdwara's youth and elders we have decided to create 'GNG Youth'.

GNG Youth will encourage youngsters without a age limit to become more involved in the Gurdwara. GNG Youth will not only put their proposals to the Gurdwara committee but be self-sufficient in managing those projects, giving the youth greater autonomy, control and their say in the Gurdwara.

The advantage for the Gurdwara management will be that they can consult with the GNG Youth to discuss future policies and projects which will impact on the youth of today who will become the management of tomorrow.

Guru Nanak Gurdwara Smethwick management committee have taken this initiative to ensure the youth remain engaged in the Gurdwara.
