ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ :-15-1-15 ਦਿੱਲੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੰਗਲਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਕਾਰ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਦੋਨੋ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਾਹਿਜ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਡਿਉਢੀ ਤੱਕ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਬੈਟਰੀਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਫੂਡ ਪ੍ਰੋਸੈਸਿੰਗ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਬੀਬਾ ਹਰਸਿਮਰਤ ਕੌਰ ਬਾਦਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਮਨਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿਰਸਾ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਾ ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਰਗ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਜੈ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਰਗ ਵਿਖੇ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਚਲਣ ਫਿਰਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਦੋ ਬੈਟਰੀਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਾਂ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਡਿਉਢੀ ਤੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਪਾਰਕਿੰਗ ਤੱਕ ਛੱਡਣ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨਗੀਆਂ। ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਡਿਉਢੀ ਤੇ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਬਣੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਰੈਂਪ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵਿਲ੍ਹਚੇਅਰ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਉਕਤ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦਰਬਾਰ `ਚ ਦਰਸ਼ਨਾ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਸਕਣਗੀਆਂ।

बैटरीकार की सेवा संगतों की सहुलीयतों के लिए की शुरू

नई दिल्ली:- 15.1.15 दिल्ली कमेटी द्वारा इस अवसर पर गुरूद्वारा बंगला साहिब की कार पार्किंग के दोनो मुख्य दरवाज़ो पर बुजुर्गो एवं विकलांग संगतों को गुरूद्वारा साहिब की डियोढी तक लाने के लिए बैटरीकार की सेवा की शुरूआत केन्द्रीय खाद्य प्रसंकरण मंत्री हरसिमरत कौर बादल द्वारा की गई। कमेटी के महासचिव मनजिन्दर सिंह सिरसा ने इस बारे जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि बाबा खडग सिंह मार्ग एवं राजा जय सिंह मार्ग पर स्थित पार्किंग के मुख्य दरवाजों से चलने फिरने से असमर्थ संगतो को गुरू दरबार के दर्शन करवाने के लिए कमेटी द्वारा फिलहाल दो बैटरीकारों की सेवा शुरू की गई है। यह कारे संगतों को पार्किंग के मुख्य दरवाज़े से गुरूद्वारा साहिब की डियोढी तक एवं वापिस पार्किंग तक छोडने की सेवा करेंगी। गुरूद्वारा साहिब की डियोढी से सीढीयांे के बीच बने विशेष रैंप द्वारा विह्लचैयर की मदद से उक्त संगतें गुरू दरबार में दर्शनो के लिए जा सकेंगी।

इन समागमों के दौरान दिल्ली कमेटी के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष रविन्दर सिंह खुराना, उपाध्यक्ष तनवंत सिंह, वरिष्ठ अकाली नेता अवतार सिंह हित, औकार सिंह थापर, धर्म प्रचार प्रमुख परमजीत सिंह राणा, गुरूद्वारा बंगला साहिब के चेयरमैन परमजीत सिंह चंढोक, हरदेव सिंह धनोआ, दिल्ली कमेटी सदस्य अमरजीत सिंह पप्पू, कुलमोहन सिंह, रवैल सिंह, समरदीप सिंह सन्नी, मनमिन्दर सिंह आयूर, जसबीर सिंह जस्सी एवं स्त्री अकाली दल की प्रधान बीबी मनदीप कौर बख्शी सहित अन्य कमेटी सदस्य मौजूद थे।

Whenever any 'thing' in Punjab is done....whether that 'thing' is a political speech, a free eye clinic, criminals being arrested, a donation or indeed any other 'thing' such as a car and a car battery as per the photo above......why is it that a minimum of 100 people have to be in the photo standing beside that 'thing'. Is there a Law in Punjab that says a 'thing' does not qualify as a 'thing' unless every single person even remotely involved in that 'thing' is present in the photo opportunity ?

I say 'Punjab Law' but I know this 'law' has transported itself to the UK and Italy too. For example the Sikh Channel. Whenever a Gurdwara in either Italy or the UK is having an upcoming programme and they are advertising it on the Sikh Channel, one person from that Gurdwara does the talking but every single person that has ever visited that Gurdwara in their entire life is standing next to that person for that camera shot.

Why ? Why this inherent need to be on camera ? Will the upcoming programme in the Gurdwara not count as a sucessful 'thing' unless 100 people are standing still next to the person telling us about it?

And this thing goes on and on, now with the adverts Punjabis put in Punjabi newspapers and magaznes. Whether the business is a lawyer, truck hire, wedding caterer, building contractors or skip hire the Punjabi owner of the business feels it is not complete unless he puts his convict style passport photo in the advert too, as if we're going to look at his terrible, unsmiling black & white passport photo and say "Yes....THATS the man I want to hire a skip from".

Punjabi's love the camera, it does not matter if the story is run of the mill or even if a serious crime has just taken place but they literally climb over each other to ensure they make the shot, even if its one shoulder! This is not limited to just Punjabis. If we look at video footage taken in other parts of India or Africa or other 3rd world countries we find the same situations arising. As soon as a film crew or cameraman turns up it instantly attracts hordes of people that have nothing to do with what's being filmed and most have a vacant look. With the advent of cheap smart phones this behaviour is somewhat strange.
