Beard Thread Number 1 was written a few weeks ago. Has no replies and about 80 views.  It was designed to get people thinking about the thing that actually makes Sikhs most recognisable in the world. It got one person thinking. But rather than thinking intellectually it got him thinking about beard wax. So much so that, about a week later, he started a brand new thread about beards, i.e. Beard Thread Number 2.  Beard Thread Number 2 is about how to curl moustaches and beards. The Indians have a national stereotype of Sikhs as low intellectual jokers and singers who are not capable of intellectual thinking. Beard Thread Number 2 gets 700 views and 19 replies. Surely it's time, is it not, that we stopped complaining about the Indian portrayal of us as simpletons and just go ahead and admit it that it's true ???????
