A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists." "Why do you say that?" asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things." The customer thought for a …

A young child went to a Gursikh and said that no matter how hard he tried to keep Gurbani in his heart, he just could not understand or keep it. He stated that his mind was not a bucket, but a strainer, which let everything pass through and did not contain the meaning of Gurbani. The Gursikh said, “Let us try an experiment. Here is a strainer, and here is some water. Now pour a bucket of water through the strainer.” The child did this and said “See, the water was not contained, it just passed through, my mind is just like this.” The Gursikh said “Do it once more.” So he did, and still the water passed through the strainer. The Gursikh said “Do it ten times at least”. T…

People ask me how does God show up When He can't be seen? Facetiously I reply "How does God show up? Whatever do you mean?" Let me sit you down And talk to you Let me pull you 'round And walk you through How God shows up - He does it through people & situations In which He uses them as vivid illustrations Of His handiworks How His Plan B lurks When man besmirched Plan A And the planet is in disarray We are drowning - so He sends a boat our way We say "That's okay, I'm waiting on God to show up" We sink deeper so we pray Then He sends a plane that day Again we say "I'm waiting on God to show up" We drown we die we're in Heaven now And we ask the …

Imagine the following scenario: Just one person creates 20 000 Log-in I.D.’s and uses these different id’s to create different posts, reply to these posts, argue in these posts, compliment in these posts, post under different sub-forums etc. To the newcomer it will seem that they are dealing with 20 000 individual members when in fact it is only one person with numerous id’s. When we play games with small children in order to amuse ourselves we often pull faces, wear a mask, wear a veil, or try to disguise ourselves for the duration of the game. When the child becomes scared or distressed we remove our disguise, veil, mask etc. and reveal our true selves. The child’s fac…

Once a king told his workers to dig a pond. Once the pong was dug, the king made an announcement to his people that one person from each household has to bring a glass of milk during the night and pour it into the pond. So, the pond should be full of milk by the morning. After receiving the order, everyone went home. One man prepared to take the milk during the night. He thought that since everyone will bring milk, he could just hide a glass of water and pour it inside the pond. Because it will be dark at night, no one will notice. So he quickly went and poured the water in the pond and came back. In the morning, the king came to visit the pond and to his surprise, the po…

When I was little, my mother used to embroider a great deal. I would sit at her knee and look up from the floor and ask what she was doing. She informed me that she was embroidering. I told her that it looked like a mess from where I was. As from the underside I watched her work within the boundaries of the little round hoop that she held in her hand, I complained to her that it sure looked messy from where I sat. She would smile at me, look down and gently say, "You go about your playing for a while, and when I am finished with my embroidering I will put you on my knee and let you see it from my side." I would wonder why she was using some dark threads along with the br…
