I like to challenge any of you here who loves to claim sikh women equality..This is a serious issue and should be presented infront of akal takth and should be more publicised. If Sikhs do on follow the way of of Guru, if Sikhs do no teach their children the greatness of Sikhi, if Sikhs are more concerned about aquiring worldy wealth, watching Hindi movies, doing bhangra, diluting Sikhi to fit their "modern" or "western" needs, we will suffer the consequences. We have families that allow daughters to cut hair but make their sons have turbans, and we dare to ask why our sisters/daughters our marrying out of their religion? The truth of the matter is that these girls who run away with a muslim guy or hindu guy for that ma…

By Local London Reporter The Prince of Wales will today visit the vast Sikh temple in Southall, west London. Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, the largest Sikh temple outside India, was built at a cost of £17 million. Prince Charles will mingle with worshippers and priests at the Southhall Temple. The temple was funded through the efforts and donations of the Sikh community, and can hold up to 3000 worshippers. Work started on the temple, which covers some 6,000 square metres, in May 2000, and was finished in March. The temple complex includes a library, teaching rooms, and a dining hall capable of serving more than 20,000 meals in a festival weekend.
