The committee of Guru Nanak gurdwara bradford are not allowing sangat access to gurdwara apart from Sunday between 10am and 12 noon. However the gurdwara gym which is next door to gurdwara sahib is open 7 days a week from approx 9am to 8pm. sangat have tried to talk with committee but they have refused to answer. The committee has also refused sangat to start langar seva. There has been no langar since February 2020. Also at a recent funeral they didn’t do any kirtan. Contrary to maharajs bani. Also they pick and choose what time they want to do parkash and sukhasan seva. Also there has been no granthi Ji since November 202…

My dad has a bad habit of drinking. He’s learnt from his father. He can’t control his alcohol. He drinks like a fish. Once he’s drunk, he starts getting aggressive and verbally abuses family members behind their backs and even taunts me saying “ur a girl, I wish I had a boy” or/and “ I am grieving because I have two girls”. He’s one of those dads who wanted a boy but that never happened. He’s in kalyug. I can’t even begin to describe the terrible things that come …

Hello all, *deleted*. Im 23 years old and I’m utterly sick of being a religious (edited) and carry around this burden. It feels like being stuck in a rut. I have enormous respect for the founders (edited) and what they were about. I feel like I just can’t live up to the expectations expected of me. I have enormous respect for my fellow community (edited). Day by day I get farther and farther from it. I’ve stopped doing prayer (edited) and it’s been painful going about my day without it. The trauma is surreal almost as if I’m experiencing withdrawal symptoms from a drug. Is there anyone else out there that feels this way? Anyone who’s overcome this? Any guidance woul…

I am an entry level data analytics professional and I would like to freely offer my time and skills to the first individual/ organisation that reaches out on the forum. Being a volunteer is on my bucket list and I would like to give back to the community. Data analytics is a broad field involving the use of data and tools to solve/ answer business problems/questions. PS I tried to sign up, with two different email addresses but encountered " You are not allowed to use that email address on this site" on both occasions.

Issues in the Sikh Panth
by Guest Guest 805- 1 follower

How can we deal with issues facing the panth? Ignorant youth is a major one, parents are not putting Sikhi first. So many Sikh youth can't read Gurmukhi outside of Panjab, let alone understanding the message of Gurbani. Sikhs are adopting practices and ideologies against Sikhi, especially overseas. Seeing Sikhs like this is dispiriting for the future of the panth.
