Disabled Badges-pretending To Be Disabled.
by Guest lost- 7 replies

Theres an amritdhari family who do sewa and stuff. But one thing bugs me, I know them well and they do dodgy things like pretend to be disabled and carry their baba’s disabled badge everywhere so they can park their cars on yellow lines. They go shopping and also run their own business and park on yellow lines or disabled bays so they don’t get parking tickets. When people c them come out of their car they look like pooran gursikhs but they are abled body abusing the rights of disabled people. Am I the only person that thinks this is dishonest and un sikh like? Because in my sangat people think its not that big a deal, but ir bugs me silly, because it feels like they ar…

I need advice as to wether this is wrong; A family I know are using the Gurdwara kitchen to prepare food to then transport to a hall where meat and alcohol is being served...I talked to the family about my concern and they said that I was over-reacting and it isnt really Guru Ka Langar unless the Bhog has happened and as that is not happening it is okey for this to happen and that they also have the permission of the Gurdwara. I dunno wether I am over-reacting here but I feel like this might become a trend where people will use Gurdwara kitchen to cut food costs at parties...and the fact that this happening at a Major trusted Gurdwara in the the UK with permission is kin…

Dear All Please forward to all your contacts & ask them to vote NOW!! Take a second to cast your vote in the Evening Standard on-line poll to determine public opinion about whether a Mega mosque should be build for the Olympics. The vote so far is 61% in favour. It looks like the Muslim community is casting its vote in droves, and as usual the Hindus, Sikhs, Jain, Buddhist and Christians are burying their head in the sand. How can the government allow this, when there a mixture of faith at these Games. Instead of a Mega Mosque, there should be an Interfaith Centre, where any religion can go and pray. After voting, forward this to as many Londoners and other …

My question is...after reciting Jap Ji Sahib paat, for example (just once), should you do an ardaas? Or is saying Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh at the end of the recitation ok aswell? I'm just curious as the rehat maryada regarding this kind of of thing... Look forward to reading your replies! Forgive me for any mistakes I made... Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh!!

hi all i have a question, i find it hard to play football in my keski, and i was wondering if i can wear a patka over it to keep it in place whilst playing footy? i dont think its a problem because i wear a dastaar over it during the day time. I know i cant take it off, but i risk that at footy, so keeping a patka to keep it secure seems the best bet... anyone been in this situation?
