How can you prove Sikh Scripture is Inspired?
by Guest Car- 5 replies

Hi. Other religions such as Christianity and Islam give proofs to show their books are inspired. For example the followers claim there are scientific statements in them which at the time of revelation would have not be known. There are other types of proof too. Do you have such proof for a non Sikh to investigate please? Thank you.

How did you know it was time ?

Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji ki Fateh. I am a 27 year old man living in India. I've born into a Hindu family, and have had a fondness of the Sikh religion in my initial days. Long story short, my fondness turned into devotion. A Singh suggested me to meditate on the Naam and read Japji Sahib when I wasn't doing a lot good in life mentally. Currently, I've been on it, and trying to live a life as much as per the Hukam of Dasam Pita. But I have a question, to all the Amritdhari Singh's, that how did they know it was time to get baptized ? And how is life going to be different for me if I get baptized. Bhul chuk maaf karnee. Akaal ??

A beautiful ecovillage is being set up in the Salt Spring Islands in BC, Canada. http://www.yogaecovillage.com/ It is a beautiful concept of living a self sufficient healthy life and searching for spirituality. If non-sikhs can think of such a lifestyle, WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO NAAM ABHIYAASI SINGHS OF CANADA ?????????????????????????????????????? We have the SAT NAAM, GURU GRANTH SAHIB AND DASAM GRANTH JEE. Non-sikhs dont have this but still they are searching for spirituality and want to live in harmony with nature. I think ITS TIME FOR BC SIKHS TO WAKE UP. Stop pleasing your boss, running after money is fast paced city life. Its time to live in harmony with nature,…

Vjkk vjkf sangat ji, My question is that , Me and my fiancé have been engaged inside gurdwara sahib, or you can say the ardas has been done which we also call “Roka” has been done. Now the question is that as we have accepted in front pf guru sahib that we are gonna marry each other and spend our life together, can we kiss each other or make out? i know we are still not married but it’s just a thought that arose inside my mind. Please clear the doubts. Answer: No, you cannot. All is ok once Anand Karaj has been performed.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh Its J89, i have commented on a post yesterday in which couple of singhs are doing keertan in a weird way Some of them were also shouting and hooting, some were also saying like burahhh nd hurahhh, u can listen to that again carefully, The admins deleted or deactivated my account for that comment. Havent said anything bad to anyone here but yes they are like drunk nd making fool of waheguru name, thats not the way all mahapurkhs told us to recite waheguru, They were really making fool of waheguru naam. If u people like making fool of waheguru ji, nd if i comment about them nd u admins delete my account, i will happy to stay…

Getting Back Up
by Guest Samosa- 2 replies

A couple of years ago I began to really feel pyaar for Vaheguru. I felt like my Guru was, my Guru, and I'd never felt that before in my life. Things were going so well, I was learning so much, things made sense, and at times I had knowledge on certain things I didn't before (not sure how to explain it, but I didn't feel that at the time, but with hindsight I can see how different I was). I was more in touch with myself, with other people, and with emotions. I was empathetic, more compassionate, the things I'd always wanted to be. At the time, I was a happy person and felt happy, but didn't realise how different I really was to before I began feeling like this. It was as i…

My Rep Over Sikhi...?
by Guest DroidSingh- 1 reply

Theres a guy I know who is a full Amrit Dhaari Singh, does seva representing five Singhs (but not actually in the Panj) and is very well respected by the local community. But recently, he has gotten into a situation where what he and his Singhni (wife) know, would help bring someone to justice who committed a very wrongful crime. Their knowledge will help support a criminal case but they are too worried about their reputation and the reputation of their own family. The Singh has therefore refused to help in the case even though he knows the criminal is 100% guilty. I can't say much more due to the nature of the case so forgive me for the vague details. But on what is sa…
