I have still not mastered the art of always telling the truth, although some may say my lies are white lies, a lie is a lie and a lie is dark. There is no such thing as a white lie, always tell the truth, it is very liberating and god accepts only truth in His court, in fact gods name is TRUTH (SATNAM, meaning TRUTH IS HIS NAME). We're given this divine knowledge in the very first few lines of Gurbani. About the crying yourself to sleep, this became a very regular activity of mine a few years back. I cried because of worldly problems and also lonliness. The feeling of being alone is truly one of the worst feelings. Now i have god to cry to. Crying is a good expression to god who knows all of our pains and happiness. I figured why cry to a friend/ boyfriend/ girlfriend/ relative when they don;t know your pain, they don;t feel your pain. God not only knows your pain, he feels it as much as you do. He is All compassionate and if you cry your problems out to him, effectivey you are handing them over to him and asking for help. So make your crying your prayer for starters, do not doubt he is listening, don't ever doubt it, he's been there since your birth and for eternity before that and any doubts you feel is darkness telling you lies to put you off track and ruin your happiness/ salvation/ loving bond with god, as normal as it may feel to doubt, this is the way satan has decieved the world. There was a time when the world was all light- satyug- and darkness had not yet set in. Everyone had 100% faith in god and experienced him. We are now in the darkest age and there is no light save gurbani/ guru granth sahib and a few saints in the world, doubt is everyhwhere and if in the age of lght there was no doubt due to the pervading light, the only thing causing your doubt is darkness. Are you willing to let this darkness into your body mind and soul? Get rid of it, chant gods name, do good deeds and reestablish your connection with him, you had it when you were a child in your mothers womb and shortly after that, hes there, just let his jyot shine and talk to him.

Long kacheras have always been historically worn, as you can see of puraaton paintings. Long kacheras provided modesty and also made it more comfortable when riding horses. The only reason why we only see nihangs with long kacheras in the modern era is because they are the only sikhs left that still use horses.

I will reply one by one. One member says that why didn't Ambedkar chose Sikhism instead of Buddhism. One valid reason is that some sikhs still practice caste(sorry its true guys), ignoring the nanak's teachings and spirit of sikhism. Still I hear that Honor killings in Punjab(though less cases than rest of north and haryana). Honor killings mean that they want daughters to marry in clans. That stupid Gotra stuff. He even thought about Islam but he saw the muslims of Larkana in pak who were treated like garbage by elite punj muslims(the ruling class in pak). So he thought that only Buddhism is free from caste. But in Sri Lanka the Chamar(pardon my using this hateful word) Buddhists are still treated with contempt. So Hypocrisy is everywhere. rest I will reply tomorrow, today extremely tired. Pls excuse.

I would like to add that Buddhism was the prevalent religion in Afghanistan and other countries like Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, etc. countries that broke off from former USSR. This I heard in Gyani Maskeen jee's katha. All of them were forcibly converted to Islam.

Please provide reliable sources. This is something I've read/heard first time about India. I agree Buddhists were in huge numbers before the coming of Islam, but 80% is a number mentioned nowhere in history written even by non-Indians. Please elaborate and clarify where you got this information from.Thanks

jass singh veer ji here is why ambedkar who was on the verge of becoming sikh with like 5 crore dalits dropped the idea and become buddhist, as usual apne are reasons. I personally am close to dalits and dalit leaders, of what i have been personally told ambedkar had personally sent his followers to study sikhism to amritsar sahib, unfortunately when he was in touch with akali leaders a incident happened in punjab, in a gurdwara some mzhabis were refused langar, news reached ambedkar, this incident made him drop the idea.

Considering the Sikhs as his brotherhood, Dr. Ambedkar sent message to Master Tara Singh that he had the chances of becoming the Chief Minister of Bombay State by leading his Party to victory, and asked the Panth in Punjab to extend financial help of twenty five thousand to him. Master Tara Singh found this as a golden opportunity to turn Dr. Ambedkar away from Sikhism and Panth. He came to S. Amar Singh in the Lahore office of ?Shere Punjab? and said, ?Look at this Ambedkar, he is asking money from the Sikhs.? Amar Singh ji replied, ?What are you talking about Master ji? If Dr. Ambedkar were merely looking for money, he could raise crores from Muslims or Christians, why should he turn to Sikhism? He is just asking for a small amount as a gesture of brotherhood. It doesn?t behove of us to suspect his intentions.? Master ji immediately changed his tone, ?I was just afraid that you would oppose me in the All India Sikh Mission if I gave thi s amount. But now that you have also approved of it, I will send this amount to Dr. Ambedkar tomorrow itself.? S. Amar Singh told him with folded hands, ?Look, don?t procrastinate, in fact send him Rs. 50,000 instead of 25,000.? ?Anyway, Master ji drew the money from the account of All India Sikh Mission, but instead of sending a draft or cheque, gave the whole money to his protégé Master Sujan Singh Sarhali, and sent a message to S. Amar Singh that the money had been sent to Dr. Ambedkar. It came out after the elections that the money was lost in the way and not a penny was let reach Dr. Ambedkar. kaljugi veer ji , its a huge loss, i have been urging granthis, jathedars, whomever i meet to do parchaar amongst the downtrodden, i have personally maintained good relations with them, my plea has been unheard people take them as dirty, uncouth, but read the literature or visit their basti you will realise what they have gone through, we all are responsible and we still continue to be responsible, till date caste based discrimination is not eradicated, we have been practicing this in our pinds.

It is interesting that our so called higher castes are mostly clean shaven and don't follow Sikhism.Just look at the universities and colleges in the Punjab. I bet the Dalit Sikhs would have shown more pride in becoming Sikhs

l singh ji bullseye ! what you say is absolutely true ! i have interacted with what these guys term as OBC , SC ST , dalit , adivasi etc... my findings tell me the lower the more creamy, even amongst hindus the lowest lot is the best hindu, their gals dotn run away with <banned word filter activated>, they dont convert unless are pressurized by hunger, medical issues, they maintain their dignity and are proud of their culture.

yes and i have heard some oral incidents which i dint find anywhere in the pages of history, to say if this is true or not, this is about the early invasions when universities like taksha shila which were predominantly buddhist existed around afghanistan (guess what ! i am practicing speaking it correctly :D ) its is said that the mussalman invaders captured a university and caught hold of a librarian and asked him what was written in the books which were lying here, the librarian said what ever was not in the quran was mentioned in these books. the invaders said if that is the case then why should such a library exist which doesnt not contain what is in the quran burn it down ! that university was destroyed and the invaders moved on. the librarian reached another library and told the librarian of that library this incident, to be ready when the invaders come to him. when the invaders reached that library and asked him about what was mentioned in the books here , he answered that all that was in the quran was mentioned in the books here. the invaders said, well if that was the case why should there be a entire library when everything was there in the quran Burn it down !

It is very easy for our human pshycology to accept and believe what looks good to us - and that is there for all such words such as "Hindu" ,"LALA", "GOLA". What Hindu means has been researched and proven with evidences - http://www.sikhspect...72008/hindu.htm and more such links found on the Net. LALA means "GULAM", "SLAVE". Let's not fall into any quandary over here over this word - It is time and again proved what word Hindu means as described in Persian dictionary Leghwata-Keshwari, and usage of this word referring to Indian people context. All such Persian words used to be used by Mughal Nawabs to dishonour the Sanatan Dharam preachers during the 10th-11th century onwards (because of their corrupt practises), slowly and gradually these words became a relgious symbol with stupid arguments such as "Hindu" word origin is "Sindhu" , because Persians were not able to pronounce "S". Then how the hell they used to pronounce "Shia" Or "Sunni" ?Did they used to pronounce it as "Hia" OR "Hunni"? This is all non-sense and just to hide the slavery accepted 1000 years ago. Sanatam Dharam should be brave to shun the usage of these derogatory words, and should also stop all its Saffron Terrorism - with which it has destroyed the whole 1000 years old Civilazation of Budhdhists/Jains. I am not convinced with false stories of monasteries burning by Mughals over here - Do you have evidence? I challenge to give you all evidences of Budhdhist "Bodh Gaya" Tree burnt by Pushyamitra Sunga, most of Budhdhist monastries and Budhdhist temples destroyed by Saffron terrorists of that time led by Adi Sankaracharaya. Around 10 million Budhdhists murdered on the order from Adi Sankaracharaya. The current age Saffron terrorists destrogying Babri Masjid can be seen on Youtube - The current age Saffron terrorists burning/demolishing Gurudwaras in 1984 can be seen on Youtube. The current age Saffron Terrorists burning Churches and burning Christians can be seen on Youtube. The current age Saffron terroists bombing sensitive places in india is now being investigated and proven. Rahul Gandhi Khan is correct in saying that Saffron terrorists pose a much bigger threat to india than other groups. It seems we have our discussion threads infiltrated by some Saffron-terrorist led think-tanks who support Saffron Terrorists and Saffron terrorism.
