  2. VAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, VAHEGURU JI KI FATEH Hindu worship also involves waving of a chaur as a means to worship the idol of their faith. However, Guru Sahib is saying that all of creation is in worship of the Almighty and demonstrates such with that pauri. That being said, Koi is spot on as to the why for Guru Sahib. The Almighty's entire creation is in worship of the Almighty through the cosmic Aarti, but Gursikhs maintain the appropriate respect for Guru Sahib through the three symbols of royalty, namely Chaur Sahib to be waved over Guru Sahib, Takht Sahib where Guru Sahib is seated, and Chandoa Sahib, which is the canpoy above Guru Sahib.

  3. Its the new soch being spread by missionaries amd followers of Gurbaksh Kala Afghana. They think that Guru Jee is just a mere book and doing Chaur Sahib is a blind ritual. In fact thats what all authentic Sikh traditions are to them, just rituals that should be discarded.

  5. Her family, and their emotions, are her own business. She should be free to make her own choice. We are not acting like Islam's Prophet i.e. employing coercion or rape to convert her.

  7. If we go by Islam itself, then these allies of the Gurus or their followers were not even Muslims. "By the theory of it's origin the Muslim state is a theocracy... In such a state, infidelity is logically equivalent to treason... Therefore, the toleration of any sect outside the fold of Orthodox Islam is no better than compounding with sin... The conversion of the entire population to Islam and the extinction of every form of dissent is the ideal of the Muslim state." - Sarkar, "History of Aurangzeb," vol. III, pg. 248-250. According to the Koran, "the only faith acceptable to Allah is Islam." -3:19. What did Guru Nanak Dev Ji think of Islam? "Make kindness thy mosque, sincerity thy carpet of prayer; what is just thy Koran; modesty thy circumcision; civility thy fasting and so shalt thou be considered a true Muslim." - AGGS Ang. 140. This was directly a challenge to Islam and it's elitism. Dismissed was the mosque, dismissed were the five prayers and the necessities of circumcision, dismissed was the Koran in it's stead a new and more humane formula was created. Yet we still go by the imbecility, respect all faiths. Are we really to respect such faiths where inhumanity is rife? Did our Gurus? Jahangir and Aurangzeb were following Islam when they were committing atrocities (which of course Muslims are attempting to veil through inauthentic sophistry) and our Gurus raised their voices and arms against them. Were our Gurus wrong because they did not respect all faiths? The Vedas, and Hindu scriptures emphasize social stratification on a religious basis i.e. Caste. Were our Gurus wrong in raising their voices and arms against such a system?

  8. History would prove you right. That's exactly what happened after the monarchies of France and Russia were overthrown and dismantled. It also happened in the case of the Sikhs. When our ancestors finally succeeded in wresting control of Punjab from the Afghans, they very suddenly possessed a personal freedom unlike anything they had ever known. No rulers, no overlords, no opposition and no laws, for the first time. What did they choose to do with this new-found freedom? They went mental, indulging in all manner of debaucheries now that they could. The Khalsa spirit for whose survival they fought was immediately forgotten in the mad rush to grab land and fill the power vacuum. Extreme ideologies and radical change, are both very dangerous.

  9. We're all 'liberal'. This is a fair minded liberal country. There is no place in this country for viscious racist facists like Tommy Robinson just as there is no place for neo-Islamic facists. Any 'Sikh' that supports a hate-filled facist bigot like Tommy Robinson is a self-loathing, gullible, easily manipulated ignorant fool. The kind of fools that don't even realise that their fathers, mothers, grandfathers and gandmothers built the great UK Sikh community we have today by physically fighting and destroying men like Tommy Robinson and the organisations they represent. To think that their sacrifices went in vain, only for the current generation like Hammertime and superkaur to turn around and spit on their bravery and fortitude by supporting these evil facists makes me feel incredibly incredibly sad.

  10. I would say, riddhis siddhis have not much to do with dreams. As spiritual progress is done at a consciouss level, not at a subconscious level. So, it is only that, in dreams, we are so relaxed, that sometimes, the mind goes unconsciussly, to the subtler planes and has some type of access(peeping) to what is strored there ....but then it all depends on some factors like sanskaras, purity, etc...
