  1. Another unique breed the ‘Fresian’. It reminds me of Singhs after Keshi Ashnaan. Look at the length of their hair.

  2. Another rare breed the ‘Akal Teke’ which is a Turkmen breed. This horse is the only horse which has a coat that appears metallic in appearance.

  3. Most likely central Asian and Middle Eastern breeds such as the Turki, Persian and Arabian. They had the best breeding stock of the time and would have made there way into Hind by Mughal rulers of the time. Marwari horses would have naturally been used locally by the Rajputs so I’m sure Sikhs would have used these also but the most sort after would have been the horses used by the Mughals and Persian invaders. The breeding programme was introduced by Maharajah Ranjit Singh during his reign, and again he favoured the most sort after breeds of the time, most likely Arabian just like his most prized horse. Looking back through historical art, the horses used by the Sikhs did not always have inward facing ears in the illustrations, so we can get an idea they were not Marwari. As soon as you try to cross the breed with other horses, the offspring loses it’s unique feature of the ears. This is why the Marwari is so unique and beautiful. Also the Gurus were gifted the best Horses and Shastars of time, so we can assume the Horses were made up of the best from Central Asia and Middle East.

  4. This is very relevant to the topic and what is that with the 'calm your farm' comment? What is it with some people who cannot discuss an issue without bring caste into it? This is about our aimless altruist SJW literally emptying their own homes of food trying to live up to the SJW version of sarbat da Bhalla without understand that sarbat also included themselves and their families and their community. I can understand how people like you don't want the truth to some out because for you and others of your ilk false publicity and false praise from non-Sikhs online is worth more than saving Sikh lives. JKVLondon has also highlighted one biggest issue at hand now which is what will happen with the lockdown to the livelihood of not just the Punjabi farmers but the Punjabi farm labourers if the harvest is massively affected. I know people like you have zilch knowledge about what agriculture is and think that atta is made in some factory and then you just go and buy it in a shop! Read what happened in the Bengal famine in the 1940s when food meant of the people was diverted to the British war effort. The Punjab govt is emptying it's grain stores to supply other states while the state could suffer food shortages in the next few months depending on how long the lockdown lasts. This could turn out into something similar to what happened earlier this year when the Italians donated millions in medical supplies to China to help it battle the virus and now that the roles are reversed these same medical supplies are now being sent back to Italy after having sold back to that country by China! Also there is nothing more arrogant that someone claiming that someone else's contribution is not relevant. Who are the hell are you to claim that, if you don't like someone's contribution then don't comment on it.

  7. did you not read history of udasis he went to the heart of every religion on the planet and spread his message , he did what no normal person could do or imagine, travelled lands so disparate in culture language etc and yet was accepted heart, mind and soul by everyone. Pangat without sangat is not sikhi just as sant without sipahi is not khalsa.

  8. Yeh definitely do that. Also go and see the horses that never make it to shows or the mandi, which are kept by the Nihungs. Baba Bakala Nihungs or Harianwala Nihungs have some of the best horses. Those Nihungs have a wealth of knowledge too.

  9. Beautiful example! These are really majestic horses. The interesting thing about Arabians is that there skin under their hair is black. So when you see a white Arabian the muzzle, eyelids and brows are always black. You’ll never see a completely white Arabian.

  10. It would have been amazing to view the collection of horses. The most amazing thing is that most of the most rarest and valuable possessions of Guru Sahib, such as the white elephant, blue horse and white falcon were gifted by people who’s hearts were filled with the most love for their Guru.

  11. The blue Horses are sometimes referred to as dappled grey or blue. Nobody really knows what the exact breed was that Guru Gobind Singh Ji possessed, but it would have been the best and most sort after breed of it’s time whether that be Persian, Arabian or Turki. I actually remember visiting a horse mandi near Amritsar many years ago and remember seeing a dappled blue Marwari stallion. The horse was stunning and was hot blooded which is also a trait of the breed. Unfortunately I’ve never seen one like it again.

  12. The idol was bought by one of his followers Baba Thara Singh who Santji said was soft hearted and who Santji said he had told that if he (Thara Singh) had bought a gun instead with the money then it would have been more useful. Baba Thara Singh was in Gurdaspur jail at the time and he acted without seeking instructions from Santji. So it wasn't Santji that installed the idol for the Hindus in jail. However, Santji did compensate a Hindu whose shop had been burned as well as pay for legal action against those who had desecrated the Ramayan. So as we can see rather than Santji going around villages building Mandirs as alleged by this Akalifauj guy, the opposite is true. It's amazing how these SJW leftist liberals will bend and twist the actions of Gursikhs in order to further their SJW agenda. The story of the idol in the jail is very instructive and shows up the lies of these SJWs. Do you think Santji if they were around today would agree with the work of Khalsa Aid? Would he agree with them expending the limited resources of the Panth in setting up pointless langars in places with others are already spending millions of pounds? While Sikhs are in dire need of help themselves would he agree with Ravi Singh and his self promotion activities? Santji said that it would have been better if Baba Thara Singh had spent the money on a gun instead. Why? because then the money would have been spent on defending the Panth from the government and not on an idol which would be on no use and given that the Panth was under attack then the Panth needed guns and not feel good aimless altruism of installing idols for Hindus.

  13. case in point , in Gujrat our truck drivers are stuck with no food or water , but we are more concerned with other people first https://www.facebook.com/All.Sikh.Kudiyan/photos/a.466450426785926/2765555483542064/?type=3&theater

  14. sorry but no the gurdwara and mandir was built for prisoners remember it say hindu petty criminals were crying not a village . He responded to the needs of a group in captivity , I don't think he would have bought an idol otherwise because there loads of mandirs over Punjab.

  15. That book is a collection of his speeches and that is the only incident that he has mentioned in his speeches with slight variations sometimes the idol was installed and in another it was a Mandir. It is up to you to bring forward the speech, if it exists where you claimed Santji built a Mandir in a village because the Hindus did not have one otherwise you are just another a SJW liar who is quite happy to spead falsehood about Santji in order to justify your own SJW agenda. The one I found is totally counter to what you presented. Your attempt to turn Santji into another SJW to justify your own agenda has failed. In fact its clear that Santji understood that the installing of an idol was useless and it would have been better to have bought a gun. The idol was also installed not on the instruction of Santji but by one of his followers who Santji said was soft hearted.
