what does it mean when we say india is world's largest democracy? do we mean india has worlds biggest population (except china)?

somebody gave a vhs of his katha... its amazing. he is a very eloquent speaker and has very touching voice. I think what ppl mean by he does kachi bani is that he sings dhaarna while doing katha. Many sant manapurush were used to read dhaarnas which are not in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, such as Sant Ishar Singh Ji and Sant Waryam Singh Ji. He is doing great parchar, but some babas are very jealous of him cuz their business is going down because of Bhai Ranjit Singh Ji's Deevans. People have mix view such as someone told me that now he made his own dera and named it something like 'Parmeshar Dwar'. So I think whoever does Sikhi Da Parchar, we should walk with him/her instead of following people who have nothing to do but making comments and leave. A friend of mine also talked to Baba Hardev Singh Loolan Kalan Wale when he came to Lankershim Gurdwara few months back about Sant Ranjit Singh that he is doing great parchar and thousands are taking Amrit from him and his deewans have alot of ekatth (large gathering). My friend told me Baba Hardev Singh told him that ekatth tan nachan wali kol vi bahut hunda aa. ekatth karna tan koi vaddi gall nahi. pata kush hunda nahi, kise school gaye nahi hunde vidhya prapat karan..... (i forgot rest of the stuff)... so i think its only the babas who are jealous and worried about their own deras because the large number of sangat is attending Sant Ranjit Singh's deewans but there is also another thing to this. a friend of mine told me about another sant or baba who was also very young and started doing katha and keertan in deewans and became very famous and them i think he started doing something wrong and he went down and stuff... i forgot the name of this person.... so i think the future will tell the rest. take care folks and forgive me if i have said anything wrong.. all i have written is my own opinions and the things i have heard from ppl.

well, Bush is the man!!! :lol: i don't know if he will win the election, but he has done a wonderful job as a president. In the days of his presidency, there was no other alternative to fight the terrorism. If Gore were the president, he would have done the same as Mr. Bush.

That is nice, so Sardar Harvinder Singh Ji Phoolka is your masar ji. He is doing a wonderful seva for Sikh Panth and he is also very courageous soul who took this stand to fight for justice putting his and his family's life in danger, knowing the fact what happened to Jaswant Singh Khahlra. That Tytler and other $ucker$ deserve the most painful death in the world.

I think he gave permission to release the film. right? If India doesn't allow the release of any anti-sikh riots film, can we make it here, at Hollywood? If someone in Hollywood can help us, it will be the greatest thing in the world. If this film is made here, it will be shown in threaters all over the United States and around the world and people will get to know the truth what happened in 1984 and secondly, they will get to know who sikhs are. People have different stands on this issue and so does SGPC. I am sure SGPC members must have had a debate or discusson before reaching to this conclusion. First, everybody has the right to sing and learn from Gurbani, not just Sikhs. Secondly, it is the responsibility of ONLY the Sikhs to protect the honor of Gurbani and make sure no one disrespects It.: "Sabh Sikhan ko Hukam Hai, Guru Manyo Granth." So Guru Sahib used the word "Sikhan". So it is our Guru and so we have responsibility. People must have heard keertan by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (you can download it from keertan.net i think) where while singing Gurbani in Qwali style, he uses "Kachi bani" and sings something that has the word "Mohammad" in it. So these kind of things should be strictly prohibitted. So before we decide whether the decendent of Bhai Mardana should be allowed or not, we need to find out the truth about him, such as does he smoke, drink alcolol, uses tobacco, or do 'kurlee' after singing 'kafir's bani'. If he doesn't do any of these things, there should not be any problem with him doing Keertan at Sri Darbar Sahib. well, thats what i think.

It is a very very sad loss, esp. for the people who were inspired by Bhai Sahib. But even if he is not with us physically, he is always living in those hurts who he inspired and showed the path to Sikhi. He is not dead becuase he left his tracks behind for people to follow. This is a very shocking news and very very sad loss. Without him, you would have never seen the people from other cultures and religions adopting Sikhi. The way I understand is that Yoga was just the attraction to pull the people becuase Americans are crazy for yoga, but then he introduced them to Sikhi and then they became Sikhs. There will be many people who say bad things about him, but they should understant that Bhai Harbhajan Singh was much much better Sikh than all of us. Lets do ardas for this wonderful soul who did soooo much for Sikhi

I know that lady could be lying too, but agreeing to meet her after the 'threatening incidence' tells something. I think everybody is giving suggestions, do this and that, or that should be that way, or ur parents shouldn't be asking about caste, etc. etc. but everybody is ignoring the purpose of this post: "marriage proposal". She should not go empty handed from Sikhsangat
