also, only SOME of the bhagats bani was put in guru sahib. The VAST majority of their writings was not. So again, how can they be gurus? they are not our gurus. Only the bani contained within guru granth sahib is our guru and those who carried this light before, ie 10 gurus. to call another sache patsha or guru is just as bad as what naamdharis/radhaswamis and other cultists do. I stand by what I said before. but yes, it is great they are coming towards sikhi, and I am happy about that, but they need to recognize that what they do is anti gurmat. we have a gurudwara here that is ravidasia. They have a gigantic painting of bhagat ravidas in the main hall. People matha tek to it. vicky singh, I think that they just want to stay away from dissing other sites. like I know of some people who tried to post agianst akj.org or gursikhijeevan or other sites and they dont allow it. They dont like to attack people too much unless its clearly anti panthic. I am sure though if you email them they will reply to you and if you explain what you are trying to do, they will probably let it through.

another option that a lot of gursikhs are beginning to adopt is shredding, especially since there is so much material with english gurbani, or ikonkars, or khandas. In this case, gurbani is the word, a whole word, not a letter, right, so by shredding, you get lines, or whole letters, but never a complete word of gurbani, and so you can recycle it.

amritvela is anywhere from 12 am to sunrise. Most people wake up around 3 or 4. You do naam simran for however long you feel is apropriate then do nitnem.

Speaking from the point of view of a film student. She is really a bad writer and an ignorant one at that. This play sounds so put on just to create hate. I cant ever see anyone putting this into production for any sort of artistic reason, unless you had REALLY REALLY good actors. I havent read it all the way through and dont intend to, but the dialogue, in my professional opinion, is pretty stupid.

Why I know they are innocent... I have known malik uncle and his family as long as I can remember, probably even longer (i have a short memory). Malik uncle came here year after year doing selfless seva in gurmat camps. He was always such a nice, kind, gentle gursikh. I have never known him to even get angry. Sure he was strict and would tell kids off when they did something wrong, but he always made every child feel gursikhi love. He always taught us about naam and bani. Many times he would tell me parents to leave me at the gurudwara, he would lend me a kashera and make me wake up for amritvela. He helped shape my view of gursikhi. He treated me like his own son, he treated all the kids at camp like this. But since 2000 I have barely had a chance to even speak with him. Knowing him as I do, perhaps not well in some peoples minds, but well enough for me, I know he is not one to have done this. I know he has been framed by the government. Ive gone to the trial, I have kept up on evidence. They dont have anything on him. Look at all the seva he has done and would have done in the last few years- khalsa schools, khalsa credit unions, helping numerous sikh organizations, a lot of other stuff I still dont know about. And the other thing that really makes me know that they are innocent is the fact that bhai sahib bhai jeevan singh jee was brought in as the "terrorist mastermind" BHAI SAHIB!! of all people!! LOL!!! bhai jeevan singh jee is such an innocent, kind, gursikh. He is like the ultimate sant of sants. And they have the audacity to bad mouth him? anyone who has met him, sikhs and non-sikhs alike, have felt his warm th, spirituality and love. Bhai sahib touches every soul he meets. And the canadian government calls him a terrorist? I mean think about how much bad karma they must be accumulating. Everyone associated with this trial is probably going to receive bad karma for that one. so, accepting that these gursikhs are "mass murderers" would be accepting that bhai sahib is a "mass murderer" as they have implied in their innuendo. anyone who has even seen him knows that is farrrr from the truth.

Not to sound harsh, BUT been there, done that. in fact, it sounds exactly like my situations (before I changed and became who I am today). This part of my life taught me so much and I am sure I would not be the Sikh I am today if these things havent happened. But you need to face reality. Chances that those two will be married is virtually nill--mayb e 1%! Why waste your time and your emotions and stress over another person? I know how it felt. I thought without her, what am I? I will probably die! I can't live without her.. blah blah, I have heard it all and said it all. But frankly gill is right! Looking back, my situation was mostly extreme MOH!! (attachment)! Thats all it was and almost every relationship i have seen with teens is either moh or kaam. There is no true love in these situations. It may feel like it, but you wont realize it until you step back and look at it objectively. I used to think it was a "gurmat" or "gursikhi" relationship, I used to have so many excuses and so many things. But really, its not. Unless you can go into the panj pyare, both of you, and stand there in front of them, in front of guru sahib, AND in front of both your parents and say you are having a relationship and that you love each other and want to be married, you dont really have any love. You have a false relationship built on either moh or kaam which cant overcome such obstacles (unless it is very strong). Guru sahib even tells us.. jugat meh, jhootee dekhi preet. In this world, guru sahib says, he has found all of this love to be false. The only real love he has seen is that love for god. So when I say this, the usual excuse is "but I see god in her." no, you dont. You see a potential life partner in her. Heres my advice to you, GROW UP and learn what gursikhi is really about. I wish someone had said that to me a long time ago.... Now that I have been thoroughly dissillusioned in the youth (once again) and have made sure you all hate me, I will take my leave.... so should we have waited 20-30 years for indira to realize her mistake and stop? should we have waited for hitler to realize his mistake? as i said, certain times, a person cannot be cahnged, so why leave them alive suffering as a psychopath. here it would be the merciful and honorable thing to kill them. this isnt really an argument for me as I can see both sides. but this is my opinion now, though I have passionately argued for the other side years ago.
