  2. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Bhaen Jee or Bha Jee, Really shocked to hear what you're having to face. Which country are you in? If in UK, which City are you in? If you let people on this forum know - I'm sure loads of people would be willing to help make representations to your school. It might also be good to get a politically recognised organistion involved, like Sikh Federation (if you're in UK). If you can provide more details, I'm sure that a good legal team could get sorted out, to really scare the crap out of your school!!! And also, make sure the Gurudwara representative is well educated and can present Sikhi views across to the school well in a professional manner. In anticipation of more info. Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo
  3. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I read like about 20 posts, and loads of Tu Tu Mein Mein started happening, so I fast forward to the end, and there's phone numbers being given out to resolve debates. We really need to chill out people. Out of all the stuff I read, the only posts that made sense were Sony, JSS and Daasan Daas'. :wubc: The people whose argument we seem to be taking up - Sants, Mahapurkhs, AKJ, Tat Khalsa, etc, and everybody else mentioned in this thread had way too much bhagti than any single soul here (judging from the tone of posts). Yet we arguing about them and Gurmat, as if we know everything!!!! First things first - Gursikhs don't argue or debate about Sikhi in the way we seen in this thread. They only have Bachan Billas with respect to each other, make their point, and if there's a disagreement - they overlook that, and start talking about the more positive things that unify them. We should do that as well, rather than getting in petty fights/squabbles. Let's just start doing and building on our own Kamayee before preaching to others please, especially on such complicated topics such as this. We should strive to inspire each other - not show how clever we are in debating. There's loads of Gurbani about how stupid it is to show off your debating skills, and how Waheguroo cannot be met through cleverness and stubbornness. Let's use this forum to try and inspire each other, rather than denigrate each other. Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo
  4. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Got me curious now. Is it an AKJ Smaagam, or normal Ragi keertan, or what? Waheguroo

  12. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I really love the way Bhai Satvinder Singh Bhai Harvinder Singh singh this shabad. Listen to it by clicking here: Dukh Bhanjan Tera Naam
  13. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Wow! That second Hukumnama, at Darbar Sahib, is just amazing - it seems to make so much sense for somebody just taken Amrit, i.e., the One who sent you has recalled, and do not waiver - rely on the Shabad as your support. Thanks for sharing. Keep them coming. Waheguroo
  14. Hehehe ... yeah .... that shabad above is in the "long" Anand Sahib. Come on peeps ... which shabad inspires you!!! We always post in debates and arguments, but never when it comes down to Gurbani.
  15. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! SGPC have holding a program from 1 May to 4 May at Siri Mukatsar Sahib, to remember the great sacrifices of the 40 Muktas 300 years ago. Click here These Gursikhs disowned the Guru after circumstances of great hardship and hunger at Anandpur Sahib, only to come back and give their life for their Sikhi at Siri Mukatsar Sahib. These days we Sikhs are failing to follow the Guru's Hukam despite all the pleasures and conveniences in the world that we have today. May Guru Jee bless us with his Kirpaa to follow His Gurmat Marag. Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo PS Is the Shaheedi Purab on 4 May, because I couldn't find it on the Nanakshahi Calender?
  16. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I think it's good to read the texts/scruptures of other religions. It helps you to understand why your own Dharam is so great!!! Reading other religions' scriptures inspires me because it shows that where there are flaws in them (without meaning to offend anyone), it shows how great our Guru is in dealing with these issues. But it also helps to realise "Maanas Kee Jaat Sabhae Eakae Pehchanbo", because the vast majority of teachings are so similar, and it makes you think why do people fight so much over religion. The only main differences are in relation to what happens in the after life I think - practically, everything else, in relation to how people should live their day-to-day life is very similar. I think the reason why other religions' people don't read Guru Jee is partly our fault. We, as Sikhs, haven't been able to spread the Universality of the Message contained within Guru Jee, within which lies Sarbat Da Bhalla. Also, because it is a relatively small Dharam, people don't take tend much notice of it. Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo

  18. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I think you should see this missed scholarship as a new opportunity, opening new avenues which will eventually lead to something far bigger and better. Sometimes we get hung up on stuff which we think is in our best interests, and when we don't get it, we get upset. Daas says this from personal experience in terms of academic experiences and scholarships, etc., But if we understand everything is in Waheguroo's Hukam and try to accept it as being in our best interest, then everything works out for the best. Just keep doing Ardaas, and Waheguroo will sort everything out Himself. :TH: Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo
  19. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I found this on the AKJ Message Board:
  20. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Dassandass (on Tapoban) or Naamsar (on Sikhsangat) is just causing trouble on all forums with regard to Ranjit Singh. Please just let Ranjit Singh do Parchaar, and let him keep spreading Gurmat. Who cares who the messenger is or who attaches us with Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaaj, let's just join with the message contained therein. On the one hand Naamsar spreads Ranjit Singh's Ninda (and then belatedly retracts these statements after bringing these allegations into the public arena), and then on the other hand he calls him Nehklank Avtaar. What's all that about? Just give it time, and people will know the truth about in Ranjit Singh - i.e., whether he is a true Gurmukh or not. Naamsar also caused trouble on Sikhsangat by stating that AKJ should do keertan in Dhaarnas, despite knowing full well of Bhai Randhir Singh's views on Dhaarnas. Admin deleted that thread. Please Naamsar, don't treat this as a personal attack on you - but it is not such a good idea to go round causing hatred or stirring trouble amongst Jathas or Sansthaas of the Khalsa Panth. Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo
  21. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Course we have to eat Kumi Jee - but we have to eat for our body and eat for our soul. We just usually eat for the body, but forget to feed the soul. We must realise to do both. Although you are right in saying that Guru Jee did say we cannot attain Waheguroo by simply fasting for days on end. Even though non-Naami moorakhs like me have to eat regularly, there have been examples of Gurmukhs that have been so imbued in Naam by feeding their souls with Bhajan, that they have been able to go without food for days whilst being intoxicated in Bhagti. But only people with real high Avasthas can go through this. Examples of such Gurmukhs in the recent past include Bhai Randhir Singh Jee and Baba Nand Singh Jee. Bhul Chuk Maaf Waheguroo
  22. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I came across this shabad today, and I was like: Then:  And then: The line that particularly struck me was "Amrit Naam Parmesar Tera, Jo Simrae So Jiwae". To enable us to live physically, we fill our "Tan" (Body) with Bhojan (Food). However, we always forget to feed our "Man" (Mind). Our Man must be fed with Bhajan. Bhajan is by Simran and Contemplation of Naam, or His Name, Waheguroo. If we do this, then we shall live spiritually.
