  8. That is absolutely wrong! Infact, the sevadaars of the Gurudwara Sahib should have looked at it as an opportunity to do sevaa of the bhain jee who wished to enter the diwan. I hope someone does encourage her to return to the Gurudwara Sahib and also help her in the diwan or whereever needed.
  9. HA HA Khalsa jee...your humour is so real but dry You make it sound like i drop my laptop for a hobby, lol. My sis accidentlly dropped it once jeeo. ps. apple books are very attractive, but not really worth the money for reasons as already mentioned by the sangat. vaheguru jee kaa khalsa vaheguru jee kee fateh.
  10. ^wlsw Akwl purK kI &Oj ] That says Khalsa Akal Purakh Ki Fauj. You heard the shabad at Coventry Ransbaee, huna jee?
  11. We got the same one, except mine is pentium 3 and only 1GHz... Its a very good laptop! ...jussst as long as your sister doesnt accidently drop it on the floor with the ac adapter cable, and break the inside support of the DC In Connector that keeps the pins in place. Its become awkward to keep the battery charge connection continous- has basicly driven me nuts!! Im gona have to buy this extra external part for it. Its a Docking station, basicly a port replicator...so at least there is a solution. Just ashame its ruined though...mine is about two yrs old but otherwise in good condition sound like a doctor now lol Good choice jee... Mine was cheaper than yours but still over a £1000 I got mine from tottenham court road from a shop called Kamla. They gave some extra equipment/gagets with it. check out sony style equip

  13. Guru Gobind Singh jee's roop, the uniform given to us is like one of a Soldier. Through it we are equipped, ready and displined just like a true Soldier in Guru jee's Fauj. So MKhalsa's example is just one of many for the reasons as to why one must follow reht strictly of wearing our kakaars at all times etc.
  14. One can only assess what exists but can never be the 'True' creator or inventor nor destroyer.
  15. Personally, i do not think it is appropriate for us to go around saying Merry Xmas to our Sikh brothers and sisters. WHY? - What is the purpose of Xmas? If we are wishing merry xmas to each other, that means we are wishing them happiness that it's christmas... When we wish someone Happy Vaisakhi, what do we mean. We say it because we celebrate the meaning of Vaisakhi and we 'practise' it. We are Sikhs of Guru Sahib and have taken Amrit or intend to take it and follow reht. Guru jee does not mention anything about Christianity, or anything xmas related to be proud of. Guru jee also mentions that we are neither muslim nor hindu. I.e. we are only Sikhs. Guru jee also says that we must not believe or practise their holy books. - Xmas like other celebrations (easter etc) are non-Sikhi. - Why do we wish each other happy xmas, are you going to bring a turkey home to celebrate? Do we support their practise? - If we all want to look at xmas as just a bit of fun then why didnt Guru Sahib jee consider it? - If we greet each other merry xmas, we are showing gaurai that we are no longer unique and that Sikhi has no meaning of its own. - If we greet each other merry xmas, are we also going to go Church to pay our respects? - Other faiths can attend our Guru Kar (Gurudwara Sahib), but Guru jee didnt ever say that we should learn from them and practise their ways. They are supposed to conform with our ways once they enter Guru jee's door...this means to at least not have drunk alcohol, smoke and must cover their heads and remove their shoes. - Guru jee says to keep good sangat..and at the same time to not discriminate against others. But Guru jee did not say to practise their ways. - Rahnee Rahai Soee Sikh Meraa - If we can wish each other Merry Xmas, then we can also wish them Happy Eid, Happy Easter, Happy Diwali (thats hindu version), Happy Rakhri...and the list can go on. But we wouldnt wish anyone Happy Eid, because we do not support the animals slaughter or their fasting rituals etc. - Are we also going to distribute xmas cards to each other? Then maybe we should also distribute eid cards too. - The more we act like gaurai, we only walk away from Guru Sahib jee. We are not sent to earth as Sikhs to please others, but only to do what Guru Sahib jee expects of us. - If xmas holiday period is a time when families get together, then why not say happy vacation, or happy new year, or happy Gurpurb. I think these are most appropriate. - Hanjee we are not muslims and no one is a kafir to us, but Guru Sahib jee did not give us the green light to accept other religions practises. But are to keep strict to our reht only and keep Guru jee's door open to anyone who wishes to follow the Sikhi path in any way. Otherwise we accept other peoples faith by giving them respect, not by showing we approve or practise them. - By saying Merry Xmas it does not mean we are following that associated religion, but it does mean that you are giving approval of the meaning and practise carried out of it. If we want to say things like merry xmas, then one day we might as well start making toasts when having a drink, i.e. when people hit their glasses of drink together and say cheers. The point is, we are to be GURmat and not MANmat. Greeting other sikhs with Merry Xmas, serves no purpose to Sikhi. Instead Guru jee says how saying GurFateh to another Sikh is expected and saluting in that manner is of Virtue. This way, we repeat vaheguru, and praise vaheguru jee at the same time and thus we initiate the Chardee Kalaa in each other.

  17. TAKEN FROM YAHOOGROUPS (Veer jee makes a very good point) LeriVaar saroop of SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI My dearest Pyire Sadhsangat Jio, Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Our Sikh Rehat Maryada from the very beginning has stressed on using the original form LeriVaar saroop which I, till today agree fully as this was how it was compiled from the beginning by our GURU's. But, no doubt that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in lerivaar is difficult to read and often results in wrong reading eventhough after much practise. This is my humble sincere opinion only, that is to print SGGS shabads with different colour codes i.e odd numbers with blue colour and even number by red colour, which in a way will be clear to read, but at the same time protect its reader from mistakes, at the same time having it in lerivaar continuos line. As example, JiaseeMeinAawaiKhasamKiBaniTaisaraKariGianVeLalo (p.g 52) The colour font can be any preference as per the printers choice agreed by the panth. Please think this over and have a discussion on this acceptability, in terms of Gurmat View. Gurindar Singh AKJ - New Zealand

  19. Sadh Sangat pyario jeeo, Naam simran occurs every Sunday Morning... 5.30 - 6.30am Eastham Gurdwara Sahib Rosebury Avenue If you wish to do seva of Naam Simran, then please book yourselves via the sevadaars at the gurudwara sahib. I shall add the tel number here soon.
  20. Because of all this gelatine and ingredients pangaa, ive stopped the sweets and chocolate completely. Might sound difficult to give-up, but really its not. At the end of the day, it is better to do that rather than make silly mistakes and feel guilty or having to go for pesh, which we must not make a habit of at all. We must keep telling ourselves to take reht as seriously as possible. As for the sugar white colour being made of cows bones, thats the first i've ever heard of it jee! I doubt that is true? Just like bhainjee kaur_khalistani_lioness was saying, by reducing all the junk we intake, we begin to eat less...toraa kahnaa, toraa sonaa! The more we clear up these minor points, the more our reht and lifestyle begins to come into impact and clearer.
  21. only if that was true in my area!
  22. Pyario jee, please listen to bhainjee's advice and try and only eat made food from home only as much as you possibly can...Moreover, please try to avoid eating out from restaurents, cafes, and places like Mac D's or burger king etc.. remember you can take food prepared at home as lunch A good one is if you put whatever sabjee you like in a rutee or parotaa and roll it up and wrap with foil...its very tasty...or uh bread etc. Also veer jee Singhstah...i agree, but a place that serves meat isnt at all ok for us to eat from huna...also we need to try and aim for that rehtnama, which requires us Sikhs to only eat from Amritdharee people...so avoiding eating out is the best way to start. Alotta places in Ilford also serve for vege eaters but at the end of the day it is not made by amritdharee and there is no soocham kept.
  23. awesome pic of Singhnees...raj karega khalsa! Cool avatar 'khalsacrazed' jee.
  24. thank you for notifying us jee, i cant believe how horrible and cruel it all is...but at the same time i am not suprised. Shows how we should be prepared spiritually in this age of kalyug esp since vaheguru jee may request for our calling at any time. I feel sorry for his family too..and what was the sevaadar to know, he wouldn't have once thought that he was going to uk to experience that. vaheguru
