how does one judge if one is manukh or gurmukh? also, I would definetly say sitting in bad sangat can have a bad influence. These days there are even amrit-dharis who can be bad influence, it is best to choose people who have good values, and keep other people for businness-work relationships.

Person that uses caste lable isn;t treating someone ineqaully, that's just what people want to preach. What do you mean jaat potiwal and jaat Mattu? Can you marry a Potiwal? Is that a caste or clan name. I know some castes use their caste as their surname. If you want to marry and try to adpat to another culture with different traditions and RAWAAZ then be my guest. However if they boy has lost his traditionas and is very westernised, there might not be much problem, unless you're livin with the parents, who might be traditional, but meet them first.

Sants don't exist for an organisation that only wants to teach its own brand of sikhi. Since most regular types of sants teach tolerance, it isn't possible for some organisations to let their "members" follow sants.
