  2. lol nothing to be proud of oye  I remember stopping at that 'haveli' place when I went a few years ago, lots of good food! After seeing those pictures, I now really want to go back
  3. ^ DING! DING! DING! and we have a winner!
  4. I challenge anyone to go there and speak against it. If you can come back without getting hurt, I will pay you a lot of money.
  5. What du you mean by 'sohni' jee?? :| Do you not know what the word 'sohni' means?
  6. That was very unneccessary my friend, you can calm your language. I can do a lot of things, but I just choose not to. Just like I didn't need to respond to you, but I did, just to put you down I suppose. So there you have it.
  7. In Canada you can 32gig 3GS for $300, brand new. Of course there is a 3 year contract that comes along with that price tag  But seriously, why would you not sign a contract, I mean its iPhone! It's too bicked! (no that is not a typo) If you wanted to buy it cash, it's about $800 I believe. Now 240pounds = $431 CDN; so it seems okay to me... If you buy it then at the very least you will need it's USB cable, for charging and connecting to your computer, and headphones.
  8. WAH!!! Kya baat hai. I always say, jinni sohni, oney pangey  Nothing you can do to change their attitude, so why are you bothering yourself with it? Let it go

    Need Explanation

1 minute was over a long time ago, who got their head chopped off? Calm down son, this is just a forum...
  10. Amritdhari's who look down upon non-amritdhari's are idiots.
  11. Uhh there's lots you could do, get some exercise, go for a run, join a gym and lift weights, join a martial arts club (Muy Thai recommended). Not only will you feel better, you will also look better and hopefully that will give you a much needed confidence boost.
  12. ^ Good idea, that's what I do these days, less protein shakes and more milk; I have noticed my strength has gone up  Although, there are lots of people who have a hard time loosing weight while they are drinking lots of milk. It depends on the individual, try it out and see if it works.

  14. Do you guys have no sense? Is it really that hard to open a new thread to whine about moderation? <_<
  15. The point is, you seem to be highly insecure about yourself. I don't mean that as an insult, but an observation. Set your priorities straight, don't stress over girls, it's not worth it.
  16. ^ You completely missed my point! Equating ghagra to women dancing or alcohol is clearly not a level comparison. Anyways, as I said before, I still stand by what I said. I do not wish to start a pointless debate on something so minuscule.
  17. ? I got something totally different.. Your math is wrong son. I asked G and he said it was 1 year = 31 556 926 secs
  18. Have you every thought that maybe, just maybe, they don't want to get married yet? Dude, you need to chill...
  19. Have it skim milk man, you get benefits of milk too then
  20. Listening to Sukhmani Sahib sung in Gauri Raag, and kicking myself. I am such an i d i o t  and I bet I'll wake up tomorrow morning and still be just as much of an i d i o t as I have been for 25 odd years of my life so far, maybe even more...
  21. Same can be said about a lot of sikh youth these days as well, just thought I'd point that out. It depends on the way you define Sikh here. If it's using Gurbani then you just wasted mine and your time on writing something that is false. Why define Sikh by the worst person in the world when Guru Sahib gave us the best Sikh examples to follow; themselves. Now that is a rather convenient thing to say. Just for a second, let's try to step out of the imaginary Utopian society and step into the real one.I think the skirt mentioned here in the thread is analogous to 'ghagra' which was a rather popular dress back in the days. Just because our narrow minds can not seem to think beyond some preconceived notions of what a Sikh should wear, does not mean it was/is/will always be the case. I still stand by what I said,
  22. Although this next one is not really as dramatic as the previous one, it still gives us an idea on how small we really are compared to the creation. http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap051202.html An interesting thing to note is that the light from the supernovae (star exploding) was first noticed in 1054 AD; we are now in 2009. Even after 955 years, the explosion remnant is still getting bigger, it's still expanding! For those that do not know, 12 light years = the distance one would travel while going at speed of light. Some simple math to see how many kms will that be: 1 -> Speed of light = 299 792 458 m/s ≈ 300,000 km/s 2 -> 1 year = 31 556 926 secs So, from 1 and 2 we can see that in 12 years, if we travel at speed of light, we will cover 94,67,077,800,000 kms. That is how much distance the above picture has captured.
