  1. Thanks Brother, Like those Singhs in the story above; We are those five hundred Singhs now whose duty it is to pray for the Panth by doing as many Chaupai Sahibs as possible for now and the future.
  2. For those of you in the GTA, this article appeared on page 15 of the South Asian Observer in Toronto. With a small photo inset on the cover.
  3. Baba Basant Singh ji (Johlan Wale) In the early 1920's Babaji, using his spiritual insight understood that dark days overshadowed the Panth in the near future, and so he had five hundred Singhs baptized and he sent them to the high hills of a forested area in Jallunder to meditate and pray for the Panth esclusively, everyday they would arise at two in the morning and recite Sukhmani Sahib in a freezing river, they would then commence their meditations. Once a Nihang came to see Baba Basant Singh ji and he lamented to Babaji about the sad state of the Panth under British rule, Babaji said "Bhai, the state of the Panth is indeed bad, and it will worsen, but these hard times will be lessened because we have five hundred Singhs as we speak who have given their lives to meditate and pray solely for the Panth's chardi kala." 4. Brother, I know it's a cliche, but there are always people who have it alot worse than we think we do. Instead of harming yourself try doing seva of those less fortunate than yourself, like talking to cancer patients and helping them to put their situation in perspective, believe me, when you see the condition of some such people you will feel blessed, I'm not trying to diminish you're suffering, it must be very difficult, but we are all blessed in some way.
  5. please don't harm yourself Brother, it won't make you feel any better, expressing anger through hitting something external is fine like a punching bag, but I'm sure you know this, is marriage an option?
  6. Brother, nobody will advise you better than Veer Kam 1825 ji, he has an encyclopedic knowledge of all steeks etc,
  7. Firstly he has to reslove to stop looking and replace those bad images with good spiritual images and religious pictures etc, he should also try to control his sleep pattern and keep it in balance i.e not going to bed to late etc because this will help to rein in the mind and make it more steady third he must meditate, fast simran will help to keep the mind absorbed.
  8. Thanks so much for confirming that Koi ji; for the Gurmukhi, you may want to ask the nihangsingh.org admin on their site I know they posted some parts that were from Bachitar Natak here: Bachitar Natak
  9. could someone please provide a link to the video, Thanks,
  10. I don't profess to know anything about Niddar Singh or the situation in the Uk, but there is absolutely no Budhadal Jathedar in the UK; there are high-ranking farladharis in the UK who if there were such a thing as a 'UK Jathedari' (which there isn't and never was) --would be first in the seniority line to rightfully claim it. Matheen ji is very right that we shouldn't give much import to letters etc, look at Balbir Singh, he has Baba Santa Singh's thumbprints on deeds of property which were taken when Babaji was in a near-comatose state, but we all know he is a fraud, only Baba Joginder Singh ji can appoint a Jathedar of any jatha and so far he has not.
  11. Thank you a million times for taking the time to beautifully translate that Brother, Guru's Grace
  12. patal lok is the underworld or netherworld, it is not necessarily a negative place as bhagats, siddhs, kinnars, gandarvs etc can be found there it does not necessarily include hell either, patal is like a purely tamogun place it is depicted as being a dark forest below mount Meru though it is more spiritual than our world.
  13. Apologize seriously from the heart
  14. But don't worry Singh, the whole website is being completely redesigned as we speak, it will be relaunched soon...
  15. Sorry Bhai Sahib ji, they have a sign up now saying they are temporarily down...
  16. If somebody could do a quick translation into English it would be greatly appreciated, Guru's Grace
  17. Brother, thanks for posting that, I just re-read this thread and realized that that is the mangal charan that Baba Santa Singh ji always uses to preface his kathas, does anyone know where it is from, and does anyone know the closing 'mangal charan' he uses at the end of each of the Sarbloh Granth lectures? I think it's from the Budhadal Gutkha, Thanks
  18. Thank you for bringing that to my attention Veer Matheen ji, I will message the administrators to see if they have it but mind you they can take some time to respond. Guru's Grace
  19. yep, many educated people in the cities are falling for it, Swami Shiv Singh Dayal was born into a Nanak Panthi family, his brother was an Udasi mahatma named Bhindraban Singh, Shiv Singh wrote a commentary on Japji Sahib in the 1800's, his guru was Tulsi Sahib of Hathras, after Shiv Dayal, 'Radhasaomi Mat' was started by Saligram Sinhgh who took over the lineage in Agra, this lineage has been spliyt many times and is only followed by Hindus, the Radhassomis in Punjab descend from Baba Jaimal Singh;
