Stockton management is trying to get letter from jatehdar of Akal takht and they are going to show that to public that jatehdar has no objection on dhunda. They claim that they got verbal ok from them and trying to get in writing. It is also important to note that head granthi of Stockton gurdwara is hard core missionary. if they respect Akal takht sahib then why don't they give up purewal calendar? Instead they honor him on stage and do not follow hukam from Akal takht. Being backward area of California, it is fact that there will be huge trouble if this non-us citizen dhunda enters Stockton county. Below updates i get from my relatives. Fremont Gurdwara - Half maintained by rogue "America Sikh Youth" group and half management is of Simranjeet Singh Mann group. Sikh youth side called dhunda but other side is saying they will beat the crap out of him if he ever get on stage. Supreme council didn't made any decision but rumors are that dhunda won't be able to visit California Bay Area. San Jose Gurdwara management clearly declined and standing to protest against dhunda. Tracy Gurdwara - Two gurdwaras in tracy; one is of baba dharam singh taksal and newly opened gurdwara few miles away from taksal maintained gurdwara. Un-official rumour is that they cancelled his program because of heavy number of phone calls and pressure from sangat. Stockton Gurdwara - Mangement is getting mild pressure from few selected people but they are not backing down on giving stage to dhunda. Their answer is that sangat wants dhunda to be in gurdwara. They are mates of sikh youth america (also run fremont gurdwara). Keep this topic only for updates. Post your opinion on other topics.

So basically what is going on is that because of few pictures found online, we trying to judge the whole issue. That is exactly like judging the whole Sardar community just because someone saw turban guy in drunken state or eating Barkha on streets (common sight in India). Bit childish to per-judge like that. What individuals do or does is action of their own (thread topic issue, they didn't do major wrong). If someone has issues with guru di bani, Sri dasam Granth then be a man and stand your ground rather than hiding and start issuing total confused press releases. Ok, let's say they have such issues in uk pertaining to Prakash of gurus bani but what about America? There are no such issues to this date but then why no such releases since infamous akj.org is based in America too. Such people not only fool them-self but try to take giddar cover by even cropping other issues irrelevant to core issues, they do this only wishing to hide. I am following the jatha trend for past few years just before ragi darshan episode. Few prominent akj keertanias are responsible for creating a rift in akhand kirtani jatha. Occasional keertania likes of Harpreet Singh who got a good fan base ruined the jatha ekta as he controls and run akj.org, who also monopolized the live streaming of samagams.. He falsely represent and shows himself as the spokesman of jatha (just like the posted pr in above replies). Youth from east coast, west coast and uk are being misled by such people. People will sooner or later come back to senses. I figured it out by being outsider. Taksal as usual stays dormant since 80's on being proactive on such issues.

Singhfauja's reply gives good picture of sad situation within this group. Don't kid yourself asking for proof as many people are aware of standpoint of each other. It is dirty politics where people hides the reality and put the fake face of unity. Give it a time, reality will come forward.

Great if namdhari clan decides to join mainstream Sikh Kaum. Sadly not going to happen. Few jathas left that are attached to sikhi core Sikh values; taksal, akj and few nihungs - hazoor sahib. I wonder what will happen to baba Jagjit singh's luxury fleet, including maybach.

If Mahan Sikh yodhay sant sipahi figures like Bhai sahib Bhai randhir Singh ji and Khalsa soormay like sant jarnail Singh jee Khalsa bhinderanwale did not find anything wrong during their many visits to hazoor sahib then who we are to cast doubt on their maryada related to Sri dasam Granth.
