  1. Enjoyed the actual show about 84, and thought we got a sound knowledge for those who never knew everything, the question about whether or not anyone would move to khalistan is one which always cause controversey ? even the studio guests couldn't commit to the answer and the question about whether or not the current punjab population would want it was another good discussion point. The reality is that whatever happened is the last 25 years has been a sad time for the panth, much of punjab is now patit and into drugs and sharab, plenty of fake babea about... there is a need to do much more parchar there instead of the going on about the mang of khalistan, we need to look at the bigger picture if the khalsa numbers in punjab are decreasing so rapidly and no one will move back there who is khalistan going to be made for ? some soul searching questions for all sikhs.. let us pray the panth can begin to focus on what has been left to rot for the last decade, the youth of punjab, sants like dhadrian vale are doing a great job in giving sikhi back to pinds, let's hope there are more like him.. then one day we may even be able to democratically say the khalsa demands a state, if they did a vote now i don't think we would win, to many non sikhs there !!!
  2. Typical of modern day mahants at the gurudwarea, photo ops, politics etc... here we are remembering the 25th anniversary of the ghula ghara and we hear about <banned word filter activated> committees allowing such things... sad sad sad..
  3. who cares ?? over paid prats kicking a piece of leather around :ye: not really love the game, just gutted about liverpool's result, never mind hey.. always the league... you'll never walk alone !!!!
  4. wouldn't be akj rainsbhai without a baja or tabla breaking LOL...
  5. thanks for the sevaa but it's like watching a silent movie ... what they call them again... talkies ??? thanks for the sevaa but it's like watching a silent movie ... what they call them again... talkies ???
  6. is the audio taken of the mics, just doesn't sound like a live atmosphere ??? for the number sitting on the stage it should be much louder ?? thanks for the sevaa though
  7. The simple way is to use a dvd recorder if you are not a PC expert, you simply plug your video player into the dvd recorder player and record, or alternatively you can buy a combi video and dvd recorder and do it with that.. they really aren't that expensive now... and do a good enough job for what you want to do.
  8. Veer harpreet singh, don't kid yourself about this not being about race, I agree with most of what you have written but the reality is one security guard had an issue with the race/religion of the victim, it doesn't matter about the rest of the facts, in the UK there are many sikh fans who support football teams, I would argues that some place's in the UK there are more apanea than gorea in the area.. that doesn't mean you cannot get a racist incident. Don't let the love of your team or city blind you from the fact that racism doesn't happen, whether or not you feel at home isn't the point.. from everything I've read it does seem a case of racial profiling which led to the attack on the victim by the security guards. I suggest you pursue the case for what it is, a case of a racist attacking our dear brother, for god's sake he was only going to use the restroom !!!! it is sad that our generation of youth who actively try to intergrate with society's sport fever and then are subjected to the above. I have been to game's in the UK and admittedly do feel consicous about the fact I am sikh, in the UK the majority of fans who go to games are gorea, simple as, even in the cities where there are hughe asian populations.. the irony in the UK is that gorea will even be racist to there own players if they play poorly but in normal day to day life show no racism whatsoever, hence I put that down to the excitement, frustration, anger a sports fan can feel when their team is doing badly... I hope and pray veer ji recovers and can continue to support the team he love's in the same way, I also hope the case get's some justice for him and anyone else who may have suffered from such pathethic racists !!!!
  9. wow amazing information from the past... is there any historical evidence of when taksal was formed in it's current structure ???
  10. I remember reading articles about veer ji in the past, he was truly a great role model of our sikh youth and really spread the message of sikhi spirit through his chosen profession, may sache patshah bless his soul with a place in his charan and give the family the strength in this most difficult time... dheou sacahan asisiriya.... Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki fateh...
  11. Seems as though people are very impressed by the jatha, if this goes to encourage some of the lost youth to find their way again... what more could we ask for....
  12. don't forget to bring flower petals !!! shower the floor with them !!!!
  13. Its good to see the youth being able to come to compromises at leaset its better than the elders who end up in fights which are really embrassing, it is good for leicester to do something like this as well, as there is a fair amount of youth there as well, kirtan is the most powerful tool of parchar we have in the era of kaljug if we can come together and do kirtan without the politics of the elders then just maybe we will be able to teach something about panthic unity to the next generation, for it is our duty to over come personality clashes, jatha clashes,etc.. and learn to except that panth is above all about that sangat of gursikhs in an environment where there is no vaid, virodh and we all come together to attain the treasure which will help us in the journey after this one... where ever that maybe.... chardi kalaaaaaaa
  14. check out the pics on akj.org man, the ones from the balcony look awesome !!!
  15. hey most of the smagam is up now on akj.org and a vid of bhai harpreet singhs saturday night kirtan.... amazing smagam.....
  16. hahaha lesta like everywhere else, i think there is 7 now, could be more... who know's !!!!
  17. That's great to read, keep it up veer ji, gursikhs who endeavour to fight all the battles they are presented with so much belief are a credit to sikhi, may guru ji continue to give you his blessing with more seva in all the fields you are involved in. Chardi Kaaaaallllaaaaaa
  18. wow bibi harjit kaur and bhai jagpal singh, rainsbhai was a sign of how akj can do keertan together... rock on !!!
  19. then why all the fuss of taking Guru ji to halls ?? (sarcism), though the concept is correct the darbar of Guru ji can not be made akin in a school or hall for temporary programs, hence the word gurudwara, Guru Granth sahib is prakashed there all the time and continous recitation of Gurbani and keertan is what makes the asthaan pavitar, so please think before you write. Keertan darbars are definitely better in an actual Gurudwara hall which is used regularly for diwans.
  20. is manchester near bradford ?? there broadcast was amazing last week, i guess it must be down to the g'wara connection.
  21. according to akj.org, they gonna leave at audio to avoid distortion, don't they have normal broadband up in the north ???
  22. also aren't the parnea meant to be worn with both sides down straight ?? not round the neck like a fashion accessory
  23. sevadaro, good video but sort the audio out, sound like they ate too much pizzaaasss !!! bibeki ones that is
  24. it is a lesson for us all, we can be poor or rich but we must remember that it is all a game and money is just that, the true wealth is the naam that we can take with us, even a beggar can be truly loaded with the kajaana of naam and will find a place in maharajs dargaah if his heart is pure...
