  1. Yeah a few Giani's have mentioned this too in various Katha's etc, it's better to say Pothi Sahib.
  2. VaheGuru!!! AMAZING SEVA!!! Bhagat Jaswant Singh Jee is incredible .... Dhan Guru Dhan Guru Piaareh!!!
  3. Subaig Singh is REPRESENTING!!! It's wicked to see all the support and encouragement from the Singhs that went to the fight (check out the video!) ... Don't hate but be inspired and support such great talent!
  4. VaheGuru!! Can't wait for this ... It's all about Guru Sahib Jee's Divine Keerthan in Raag!!
  5. Great Veechaar! Liked the way Baba Jee was so straight up ... Especially liked the points he made on Parkarma, Chittar Gupt and Neela colour ... So true how Baba Jee said that the world doesn't know what Nihangs are yet and how they roll, but with Guru Sahib Jee's Kirpa the Parchaar will be flowing and the Fauj be armed with Giaan (Knowledge).
  6. You could visit ManiKaran Sahib in Himachal Pradesh, it's located just on the outskirts of Panjaab in a mountainous setting and hot water springs ... Sri Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Jee went there as well as Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Jee and His Panj Piaareh ... (Will post up some research/Saakhi on this soon) The place is ever so beautiful, daas has been there 3 times and stayed for over a week or so... Once you're there you wouldn't want to leave and it's especially refreshing during the Spring season (March-June) as the climate is so fresh and just right, makes a great escape from the sometimes sickeningly hot weather in Panjaab.
  7. That's Kirpa, great Seva Bhai Sahib! Baba Jee's so Chardhee Kala and his Bachans are straight up!
  8. VaheGuru! The Nihang Fauj warned them first and told them to stop or shift to some place else and told them the reasons why not to sell there ... Shopkeepers didn't listen so justified action was taken... The Fauj standing up and showing their devout respect for our Holy Shrines and Guru Sahib Jee's Hukam ... That's Kirpa! The Fauj also took action against so-called committee members doing mega beadbee at a Gurdwara in Ropar earlier this year too ... Recognise, rate and be inspired by their Spirit!
  9. That's Kirpa!! Also, there will be live broadcasting of both timings of the Katha from Smethwick all week on Amrit Bani Radio so ensure Sangath tune in online (www.amritbani.com) or on Sky Channel 0176 ...
  10. How the hell do such books get printed, published in the first place man ...
  11. VaheGuru!!! Amazing trailer ... I'm so excited about this!!! Incredible Seva by the Fauj!!!
  12. VaheGuru Jee Kaa Khalsa VaheGuru Jee Kee Fateh! Does anyone have MP3 recordings of Zafarnama? Thanks
  13. That's even more wicked if there ain't that many AmrithDharee's there ... Dhan Guru Dhan Guru Piaareh! Yeah you'll be alright with 2/3 Cholas and pajammi or could try longer leg warmers ... Just wash them daily untill you can get more later on ... For those that are wanting to wear Baana to Uni but find it abit daunting right now, try wearing it to Sikh Society events to start off with then gradually wear it a couple of days during the week or make a day when you visit GuruGhar right before you start Uni so you'll want to wear Baana that day and give you some sort of excuse for wearing it to start out with ... Seriously don't underestimate the power of Baana ... It's saved me from a number of troubles and possible obstacles in my Sikhee Jeevan!
  14. Aaahhh mann! Baba Jee going already! Mega Seva by the Fauj still, been amazing programmes this year right from Baba Tarlok Singh Jee to Baba Joginder Singh Jee ... Now eagerly waiting for Baba Nihaal Singh Jee and Baba Maan Singh Jee to bless the UK with their Divine Presence!
  15. Aah man, I feel for you ... It's so wack but trust me you'll get through it coz Guru Jee is with you and it's during these low times you feel Guru Jee's Piaar the most! We meet so many people in this lifetime that we've been associated with in our past lives, the time we have with these people are also dependant on our Karam ... People will come and go no doubt about it but it's the people that will help shape your present and future that will stay till the end or up to a significant point in our life ... Also, Guru Jee works through His Piaareh, so try to realise what you've learnt from this experience, what has she taught you, take note then move on ... VaheGuru Jee's Game is beyond imagination ... But remember it's all but an illusion ... Keep that focus on Him and don't get too caught up in the game ... Eventually we realise it's Him who we want ...
  16. VaheGuru Jee Kaa Khalsa VaheGuru Jee Kee Fateh! Bruv that's wicked! I wore Baana full time in my last years at Uni so I'll tell you what I experienced ... Firstly it looks and feels amazing ... Especially when wearing Baana in places that are Kaljug-fied, (Trust me Uni can be Kaljug-fied LoL) it gives you a sense of fearlessness which also uplifts your state of mind ... Baana helps to keep you focused on the 'Real Game' ... Like you know that you're in Baana you're representing Guru Jee's Fauj so you're less likely to do something stupid or be seen in a manmatt place i.e. cinema, club, bar etc ... Thus allowing you to focus on what you're meant to do be doing at Uni - i.e Be in the library studying!!! Though the downside could be the amount of haters you're gonna get ... There's the tendency for other AmrithDharee's to have eerkha (jealousy) towards you so be prepared for that ... But then again it works as a good thing too coz when you're in Baana you feel on top of the world which can boost your ahankaari/ego levels so I guess abit of eerkha/hatred keeps the levels of ahankaar low ... It's important you don't get caught up with what Sangath are thinking/talking etc ... Keep the focus on VaheGuru Jee, before you leave the house always do Ardhaas to Maharaaj to bless you with righteous deeds and to protect you from the Vikaars/committing Kurehets and to uphold the honour of wearing His Baana ... Goreh/Kaaleh don't usually say anything but some may stare alot ... I just flash them a big smile and they ain't got no choice but to smile back haha! But I've found they stare more when you're wearing the western clothes ... So just be careful what you say (foul language, swearing, etc), how you behave and what you do coz you'll be representing the whole Fauj - i.e. everyone who wears Baana, Sikhee etc ... Also, remember it's not just about the external ... you gotta back it up with Baani/Seva - do Gurbaani/Simran on the go ... By taking this step, alot more become inspired and start wearing Baana too ... May VaheGuru Jee bless you with Baani and Baana Dee Daath ...
  17. You could try contacting her again to see how things go ... Having second thoughts and doubts are perfectly normal so if things do work out this time then the parents ought to be understanding ... Just do it! Life's too short for regrets man ...
  18. Yeah I agree with you ... Somalian women wear patka too and sometimes you can't tell the difference! I've seen gore and kaale mistaken patka Singhanees as Muslims :| It's all about the Beautiful Crown that Guru Sahib Jee has bestowed upon us ...
  19. VaheGuru! The West Brom Samagam was awesome! Can't wait for this one too
  20. Read every Baani from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaaj, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib Jee Maharaaj and Sri Sarabloh Sahib Jee Maharaaj :D But do try reading Chandi Dee Vaar and Uggardanti Baani at Amrith Vehla while it's still dark ... If you can't read just listen to the Baani and follow in Gutka Sahib or read transliterations with audio on the net ... I've got Uggardanti Baani in Gurmukhi and English translations if you want it ...
  21. VaheGuru VaheGuru VaheGuru!!!!!! Soul-stirring story ... :'( I was wondering if it would be okay to rewrite this inspiring story and use it for a poster/leaflet/presentation for Sikh Society/Camps etc?
