  1. Nope, if anything the media seems to be doing a good job of not corectly identifying the paedophile/rapist gangs as Pakistani Muslims, instead choosing to tar the whole Asian community with the same brush. It's a fact that muslims, pakistani muslims in particular, are over represented in sex gangs. It is not a media conspiracy because it is absolutely true, and to be frank, I'm getting tired of muslim attempts to cover up the sins of their community by accusing everyone of some sort of conspiracy. When Channel 4 wanted to run a program on the issue, the muslim community chose to cover the issue up and successfully got the program banned. It's this continuing denial of problems in the muslim community by the so-called moderates that leads many to rightfully distrust the motives of muslims as a whole. By the way, blaming the children for their rape and sexual abuse by predatory muslim males is exactly the same excuse used by the paedophile rapists in yor community. And you are supposed to be a moderate muslim? Thanks for proving my point. K.
  2. Very nice page and comments, however I'm sad to say that there is a part of the Pakistani and Islamic community that are not averse to aggressive conversion and the use of deception to gain converts. These things are not openly discussed due to the shame of the families involved, but I'm sure you can find the information you are looking for here: http://www.sikhhelpline.com/uk/aggressive-conversions/35-press-release-sikh-awareness-society-sas See one such story here: http://sikhhelpline.com/uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=37&Itemid=36 See the piece by the journalist Clive Gresswell which mentions a group called The Real Khilafah Movement, a group of Muslims who were handing out leaflets urging Muslims to forcibly or deceptively convert SIkh girls to Islam: http://knowing-islamic-doctrines.blogspot.com/2011/01/leaflet-calling-muslims-boys-in-uk-to.html GIven these reports, and many others which are not reported to the general public, I would say Hammertime (and the Sikh community in general) has a right to be concerned that some in your community may try to use this opportunity to further their own nefarious aims. Such problems are endemic in many parts of the Islamic world and not just confined to the UK: Two Christian Minors kidnapped and converted to Islam in Egypt: http://www.aina.org/news/20110626170235.htm Two underage Christian girls kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam in Pakistan: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=75437 Catholic girl kidnapped in Pakistan and forced to convert to Islam: http://www.fides.org/aree/news/newsdet.php?idnews=29237&lan=eng Punjab (Pakistan): Christian woman forced to convert and marry ker kidnapper: http://www.asianews.it/news-en/Punjab:-Christian-woman-forced-to-convert-and-marry-her-kidnapper-22303.html The desire for unity is all well and good, but you cannot have any lasting unity if you are going to deny such things happen and expect the Sikh community to play along. You will only have true unity when your community identifies and takes out its trash. Yep, me too. K.
  3. West London Singh: A previous poster said some muslim used the opportunity to dawah on a Sikh channel, encouraging Sikhs to abandon Sikhi and convert. To quote the previous poster quoting the due on tv: "were muslims were here peacefully... bla bla.... and to the millions of viewers watching, study the life of mohammed, islam is the one true faith... say the shahada (declare ur self as a muslim)" So did that happen or not? Honestly, I don't think that's the case at all. K.
  4. It seems to have been confirmed by the SIkh Riot Awareness team: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sikh-Riot-Awareness-UK/148955078520105 K.
  5. I agree. It does not help one's cause to abuse individuals for their ignorance. If someone has been brainwashed by Indian media lies that Sant Jarnail SIngh Bhindrawale Ji and his followers were terrorists, you are not going convince them otherwise through insults and harsh words. Rather look at this incident as a need for effective parchar of such issues to educate the personalities involved, their employers at Sangat TV and the general public. Petition Sangat TV to air programs (in English) to educate the viewers about the truth of the matter. And, if requiored, sangat should not be afraid to ask for these personalities to be banned from presenting on Sikh channels if they persist in spreading lies and misinformation. K.
  6. I would like to see this clip also. If it is true, it is pretty disgraceful that a Sikh channel allowed itself to be used for Islamic dawah. K.
  7. Thanks, this was just the kind of uneducated response I was expecting from someone who joined the forum solely to defend people like Bobby Friction who call themselves Sikhs yet malign Sikhi beliefs as being outdated and "not with the times" and are terrified at effective Sikhi parchar exposing them for the manmukhs that they are. Here's a clue since you seem to be sorely lacking: Sikhs are those who follow the Gurus teachings in their entirety. People like you and Bobby Friction who, in his case threaten to report a Sikh TV channel for airing Sikh views, and in your case want true followers of Sikhi teachings to leave the country, are simply sheep who follow the prevailing culture of the times to fit in with the crowd. You are hypocrites filled with self-loathing. K. LOL Mods, ban this bewakoof. This fool has no place on a Sikh forum. K.
  8. A small percentage of Sikhs think Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale is a Sant? You obviously have no clue about Sikhi and have no respect for those who keep its precepts, as is evidenced by your comparison of Sikhs who keep rehit and Sikhi roop (i.e. real Gursikhs not those who call themselves Sikh then go out drinking and clubbing in imitation of their Western masters) with Islamic militants. K.
  9. Do you seriously think that her jump to Sangat TV at the exact moment that it became internationally famous and the traditional news channels were being criticised for their lack of comparable cover is a coincidence? That she had a sudden altruistic desire to serve the community she previously insulted? I think this is a disgusting gambit by her to further her career, to present herself as some sort of authority on Sikh matters. I'm sure this will help to erase the mark on her career at the BBC from the criticism she recieved from the Sikh sangat for her documentary. K.
  10. No offence to the councillor, but that's an incredibly irresponsible thing to say. Any member of the SIkh community who speaks to the press, particularly if they are in a position of some authority, should be making it clear that Sikhs are peacefully protecting their religious buildings - we are certainly not engaging in vigilantism. This is going to be especially important over the next few days when there is more press interest in us. The press, seeking any kind of sensational news to report, whether it is true or not, will be doing their best to make it look like we were seeking vigilante justice in the absence of adequate police presence because that's the kind of thing sells newspapers. K.
  11. Worth reading all of it, but the Met's own guidelines on the use of reasonable force is especially interesting. http://content.met.police.uk/News/Update-and-advice-for-businesses/1260269396125/1257246745756 Reasonable Force Does the law protect me? What is 'reasonable force'? Anyone can use reasonable force to protect themselves or others, or to carry out an arrest or to prevent crime. You are not expected to make fine judgements over the level of force you use in the heat of the moment. So long as you only do what you honestly and instinctively believe is necessary in the heat of the moment that would be the strongest evidence of you acting lawfully and in self-defence. This is still the case if you use something to hand as a weapon. As a general rule, the more extreme the circumstances and the fear felt, the more force you can lawfully use in self-defence. Do I have to wait to be attacked? No, not if you are in your own home/business and in fear for yourself or others. In those circumstances the law does not require you to wait to be attacked before using defensive force yourself. K.
  12. Someone on facebook, preferably whoever set the page up, should ask sangat who are going to be present at gurdwaras to bring spare fire extinguishers and fire blankets. If someone throws a petrol bomb into the crowd, as they have in Birmingham city centre, it's going to be very unpleasant for anyone caught by the flames. If possible, there should be designated fire wardens spread equally among the sangat. K.
  13. Oh please, your attempts to elicit sympathy are pathetic. You say you never question Dasam Granth then you say the following: 1) Dasam Granth came into existence after Guru Gobind Singh ji left for sachkhand, i.e. you don't even believe it was written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji 2) You say Dasam Granth is translation and is therefore not bani in your estimation. This, by the way, is nonsense and a tactic used by kala afghana goons to question the authenticity of Sri Dasam Granth. There are no straightforward translations in Sri Dasam Granth, it is ALL written in line with Gurmat 3) You attempt to divide Sri Dasam Granth into two parts, Charitropakhyan and the rest, when it is one Granth and: You also earlier claimed that Kaal Purakh was not used in bani. Kaal Purakh is used throughout Sri Dasam Granth, so clearly you do not believe that Sri Dasam Granth is gurbani. You obviously haven't even read Sri Dasam Granth if you believe that Kaal Purakh is not used by Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, or you believe that Sri Dasam Granth is not written by Guru Gobind Singh ji. In either case, I am done with you, and I hope that the mods here ban you before you engage in any more tricks to cast doubt on the authenticity of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib. K.
  14. Yep, I didn't think you were going to answer the question with any degree of honesty and without dissembling. Ciao, K.
  15. Here'a tip: #vigilantes is a pretty stupid name. I would suggest that you rename or close that twitter. Vigilantism is illegal in the UK. That means that if SInghs defend themselves with necessary force as a result of anything posted on #vigilantes, they run the risk of legal difficulties, even if they are forced to defend themselves. Regards, K.
  16. For someone telling other people to learn Punjabi, you sure have little to no knowledge of the language itself. You say "no where does it say Kal and Akal are the same" and then quote the pankti ਏਕ ਹੀ ਕਾਲ ਅਕਾਲ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ in the same sentence. You say, "What Guroo Saaheb is really saying...". Thanks, but we don't need you or your thick kala afghani anti-Dasam Granth brigade telling us what Guru Sahib really meant when it is clear as day. Do you believe the entirety of Sri Dasam Granth is Gurbani? Please answer with a clear yes or no, there is no need to dissemble. Regards, K. PS If you tell me to learn Punjabi or tell me to calm down, I'm going to have to hunt you down and eat your brain cell.
  17. Where's this? Mostly just seems to be chavs and wannabe gangstas breaking into sweet shops, nandos (lol) and jd sports (who the hell breaks into jd sports?). Doesn't mean that it won't get worse though, and it is better to be prepared. K.

  19. Most likely no one bothered because they recognised that they are not real questions from someone genuinely curious about learning about Sikhi - they are bait with which to trap you in their conversion tactics. Such verbal tricks are all that is left to followers of a religion which is spiritually hollow to entice you to accept their creed. Well, that and simply paying poor people to convert as they do now in India K.
  20. Meh. Why waste time arguing with people who sincerely believe that the world is 4000 years old, that dinosaur bones were placed in the earth by God to test people's faith, and whose religion is a mishmash of various myths with a dying solar god motif which they plagiarised from their much more intelligent pagan predecessors. No one with some education in the Western world has taken christianity since the Enlightenment. It's why they are so desperately seeking converts among Indians who may not have been exposed to the centuries of criticism of christianity in the West which has revealed it for the sham that it is. I mean, seriously, they believe God manifested in the form of a bird, impregnated a virgin, possessed the resulting foetus, died, then came back as a zombie to "save our souls". K.
  21. It must be a coincidence! Surely Muslims wouldn't stoop so low as to indulge in taquiyyah to spread their religion? ;-) For those who don't know, this is what taquiyyah is: http://islam-watch.o...g-for-Allah.htm K.
  22. LOL @ the Muslim da'wah on this thread. It's like one of them has written a little handbook of questions that the rest simply cut and paste to save them from the painful process of thinking for themselves. Peacescent, Your questions have already been answered here: http://www.searchsikhism.com/articles.html I also suggest that you read the following websites which discuss the fallacies of Islam: www.faithfreedom.org http://considerationsofacanadianex-muslim.org/ www.islam-watch.org http://www.ex-muslim.org.uk/ These are written by former Muslims who saw the true face of Islam and decided to leave. Dasam Bani

Nihangs read bir ras bania every day with their nitnem. You are supposed to read them every day, not just for a specific battle. Think of it this way: would you start physical training just before actual battle begins, or would you be training for it well in advance? K
  24. No, the topic was Sikh Ardas before you turned it into one about how all Sikh sampardas, scholars and Sants are all wrong and how you are right about everything. Chandi di // is written in easily understood Punjabi, the theme is clear. Only you are not satisfied and desire to turn simple phrases like "Chandi took hold of her sword and struck the demon so that blood freely poured" into meaningless gibberish because of your complete lack of linguistic skills and pretend that your rantings are somehow profound wisdom. For the love of God, you even pretend that the various epithets used to describe Durga are completely different entities without realising that it renders the // completely unintelligible. And now you ask whether Indra approached Durga before, during or after her bath, as if that was somehow some important to the discussion?! Let me guess, all the "Sick Preachers" are wrong and it was actually a shower, but only you know this because you are Very Special? What is wrong with your brain, man? Keep your crap for the chelay of your own miserable cult. No one here cares for your idiotic ramblings. And buy a fricken Punjabi dictionary. K.
