  1. Onlyfive thanks for calling me a snake i love to be called a bhujangi. Not stubborn or visible anger my friend, just my opinion which you cant accept. Funny isnt't it, you are accusing me of being stubborn, angry and a sneaky snake as a way of defending your opinion. I called you narrow minded because you accused ppl who tie their beards as ppl who have "an inability to believe in guru sahib" It almost makes me laugh... Who are you to judge? Only God can judge and even he gives us a whole life before he judges us..TRUE YES?? So what makes you think you can judge other in this life? Thanks for wishing me chardikala can't say im there yet! wish you the same!
  2. Maya? I hope you wear bana and not hoodies, shirt, tie, trousers or shoes. These are all british imposed clothing which we wear so that is also maya? Do you use a car? = maya? Follow your country's tax system? You need to draw a line somewhere! The problem is this, most of the kids these days get advice from ppl like you and think ok if that's the way then yes I might aswell cut my beard. Instead of teaching them what the beard is all about and for those who want to tie it up, let them, but they need to be proud. I have got a lot of advice from ppl, and they are all narrow minded, look at "craig david singhs" and judge. That's not what a sikh is, sorry bro, but its not! So tie you beard or leave it flowing, but be confident in keeping your kes. Its better for out panth to have a sikh who can walk tall, uplift all he sees regardless of who they are and become an inspiration for youngsters to be. Rather than a singh who is imposing ppl to 1. keep their beard without teaching them about it or what its functions are for a male body and 2. telling them if they tie it up, they are anti gurumat!
  3. My opinion is this Do whatever you need to be proud of your dhara (obviously without cutting it). I work on site as an engineer sometimes so tie it up using hair spray (tresemme extra hold) or shockwaves extra hold (no other will dO!!!) and as long as I can walk out of the house feeling happy with my dhara, then thats what i'll do. Sometimes I hate it so i'll leave it out and that is just as good! But stop making ppl feel guilty, we are not living in india, we are not in Guru's time unfortunately so keep up the rehit, but adjust where you ahve to.
  4. so true, i wish i was stronger than the power of lust. May Guru bless us all that we can convert sexual energy into something creative to help others!!
  5. yep big problem but why worry? girls don't know one thing, that a man's masculinity is in his hair and beard! The moment you shave it off, it affect your glandular system. More to the point, women prefer men who look more masculine, its a proven fact, look it up!! BUT only if you are willing to carry it with confidence. If you are carrying it for the sake of it and the way your language suggests you are angry at women for not appreciating your kes, then they wont respect you period. A women looks at a man for security, when she has you in her arms, she want to be proud of you. no matter if she is religious, the most spiritual woman, a woman looks for a man who can make her proud. So be proud of yourself FIRST and the right woman will come. We singhs waste so much time thinking about the way we look, why we cant get women etc....when we love our selves (not in an ego manner), we will create the right situation and guru will bless with the right woman. So do what ever it takes to be absolutely 100% confident in your own image and not criticise others who don't keep kes and beard. you don't need to be jelous of them, just remember there are a 1000 women out there, but only 1 of those will get a real man- a singh!! so you are lucky, keep it up bro....
  6. This garbage which goes through your mind goes through everyones! This is why we listen to the shabad Guru, to cut through our sub-conscious mind (things we think about but never act on). Its perfectly normal, the more more you listen to bani, the more garbage you are cleaning. Your mind is a giant bin, like one of those industrial ones you see in the gurdwara, you need to clean every last part of it. So yes when you listen to bani and concentrate on your third eye point, garbage is going to come to your mind and Gurus mantra is going to cut through it like a sword! Bhareaa hath payr tan day, panee dotay utras kay, moth paleethe kapar hoy thay saboon nee lae oh dhoe, bhareeia mat paapa kai sang, oh dopai navai kay rang! Keep it up and clean that bin of yours!!!
  7. Ofcourse!! You will absorb it through your sub conscious! Try it These so called hyponotisers use this techique i.e. play audio while your sleeping because they know the power of the sub conscious mind! Now imagine if you can absorb bani whilst sleeping, what a blessing! I personally find it hard as I like it to be pin drop silence when I sleep, but I remember in a Gurdwara, if I couldn't stay awake, I used to lie down and just listen to the kirtan. unfortunately today, lying down in your home, in the Guru's court, in our kings court instantly means disrespect or beadbi as most people like to say. They don't know how to treat Gurudwara as their own home. Waheguru
  8. True, but the problem is we are always pressurised by parents to live a 9-5 bog standard job and life... We need to educate and support each other and run enterprises to the benefit of the panth and ourselves. Can you believe that company which I mentioned in my previous post is a 100% non profit charity?? They plough their money into growth and in to the "khalsa council"!!
  9. That is just a negative way of looking at things, and we as a community seem to do very well at that!!! Khalistan? Raj KAREGA KHALSA!!! The world is going to be the base for khalsa, why restrict your 'homeland'. I agree with amrit, but our job is to serve people and benefit mankind, only then will khalsa spread through every corner of the world. And again the negative scenario you paint of a sikh having to cut his kesh to live the american dream, this is changing. NOWWWWWW......let me paint you a scenario: SCENE: A Gursikh qualifies in the police academy, takes him three years and when he goes to get a job they tell him to cut his beard and take of his kesh to get a job as a sheriff. What does he do? He places his trust in waheguru, keeps his kesh and decides to set up a business, calls it "Akal Security". Y. He maintains his lion form and even presents tendering contracts to Bush's security council dressed in bana and holding a kirpan as he tenders for one of the largest security contracts in USA. Years later, he gets awarded contracts in excess $1billion dollars to man guard federal state buildings. In 2004, the company has nearly 20,000 employees across the country LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE!! And while yours is a scenario, the scene I have told you is REALITY!! ****DONT BELIEVE ME??**** http://www.akalsecurity.com/files/accentmagdec05.pdf RAJ KAREGA KHALSAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! Run businesses people, control resources and use these resources to serve the world. Don't worry about Khalistan, Maharaj has given you guarentee of khalsa and it will spread throughout the world... WAheguru Ji Ka Khalsa WAheguru Ji Ki Fateh!!!
  10. GOOD POST!! Do not be afraid to go to the mandir, no one is asking you to bow down to the idols. Guru Gobind Singh ji says study other religions but have faith in akal purakh. Khalsa are not insecure people and more than that they are not stubborn. I have visited mandir's on various occasions when some of my close friends have had poojas etc. I have never bowed to any idols, but remeber these people are believers just like you so show some respect. It was nice to observe the things they do to reach God and the rituals they do but you just think to yourself, how much kirpa must maharaj done to you to be born into the sikh panth!!! WE are ang sang waheguru!! no need for idols! Don't disrespect their rituals, but don't be forced into doing anything either. I always try to respect my parents beliefs and teach them what sikhi says about bowing to idols. We went to a mandir in india and my parents and sisters all bowed to some sort of idol (can't remember where) and I simply put my hands together in respect and walked away... don't show insecurities in front of your family, khalsa is above all of that......
  11. that video is pretty funny and although it may be seen to criticise the sikh faith, there is a clear message which someone has mentioned above. Our parents and majority of sikh parents don't have in depth knowledge of sikhism. It's not their fault either, their generation was a generation of survival i.e. india partition and immigration from india/africa to the west. Things are changing however, just like in the video, the youth are questionning and gaining knowledge which our parents never had! We are entering an age where knowledge is easily available and transferrable. I was listening to a lecture From Sri Singh sahib yogi bhajan who said something along the lines of "I don't believe the sikh religion has started of yet, we have simply been hired by time and space to carry the Sri Guru Granth Sahib into the coming years. If time serves correctly, we shall see the sikh religion prosper from 2038" so put 2038 in your diaries people!!!!!!
  12. In your case....gravity is "Anti sikhi" GuruJi says the sick and weak attract more and the positive attract positive. Im sick of people with closed minds.... and number 2, do not challenge me, what I wrote was not for you, it was for the sister who is experiencing bullying and as the law of attraction has helped me in difficult times, im hoping it does the same for her.. If you have nothing good to say, dont say it. sorry for being bold, thats the way I am Fateh!
  13. Hey penji, i feel your pain and can relate because someone close to me went through the same thing... Like many people have said what these girls are doing is throwing themselves in trouble, they just don't realise. Remember, the more and more they insult you, the worse things are gonna happen in their lives, this is not a figure of speech, its the law of the universe. Almost 10 years after, the girls who used to bully my sister have steeped extremely low and to the extent I feel like praying for them... Reason they are bullying you? believe it or not, they are jealous of you... that's the reason for nindya, they are unhappy with themselves and they think that by destroying your status they will feel better and they do for a small amount of time, what they don't know is karma is doing its job and unfortunately they will have to pay for what they have done.. That aside, what can you do? My technique when I was younger? TALK TO GOD!!! Talk to Waheguru when you are about to sleep, tell him how you fell, tell him what you want sorted, this probably sounds silly to you, but believe me things will change just by taking on God as your help. It's not going to work if you talk on some imaginery level.. you need to talk to waheguru like he is your best friend. talk to him the way you talk to your best friends, in fact you can even go more personal because unlike your friends, waheguru WILL NEVER TURN HIS BACK ON YOU!! and he is only here to help you through difficult times and is willing to take care of all your problems if you let him and TELL HIM!! "Angeekaro karay thayra karaj sabna savaarna" Recite this shabad from the bottom of your heart and mean it, as many times as you can!!! http://fateh.sikhnet.com/GurbaniKirtan/tr_1423.html Lastly, im going to tell you something on a personal level. Your mind creates your destiny! So when you are thinking about negative things, about these girls who are insulting you, you are going to ATTRACT MORE AND MORE OF IT!! Guruji says the sick and weak live in a negative world and the positve live in a positive world. it is the law of attraction and if you have time, watch the movie "The secret" here is the first 20 mins: If you want the full movie, message me and I will send you the link. (Same for anyone else). Who cares what your friends have said?? They can spread rumours, let them!!! Shall I tell you what will annoy them and ruin their lives even more? IF THEY SEE YOU HAPPY!!! Don't let them get the better of you, they want to see you get depressed and lonely! DONT LET THEM!! Be happy, be free and think to yourself, who cares what they think!! This is also a good time to make new friends! my advice? Try to stay away from punjabi crowd, this new generation have a jealousy problem and an ego problem. Find different cultured friends, talk to strangers and make new friends. You see waheguru has given you this "bullying" so that you improve yourself, become stronger, get more friends and be happy! Dukh dharu Sukh Rog pya! If waheguru is on your side, these people cannot touch you, they are ruining their lives and destroying their future by insulting you!! Good luck and don't worry because tables are about to turn!! And you have God on your side.. they have no one!!
  14. I read this before and it is total beadbi what singh sabha canada are doing and to be honest I am surprised no khalsa on this forum have the power to take it down.. My personal belief......Dasam granth is not for the weak hearted!!!!!! and even though language is shocking, these are tales of morality, lessons for us. We have been bought up in such an enclosed environment that even mentioning this to another sikh becomes embarassing... and what happens instead? WE see it all the day on news! Rape, gyanis doing dodgy business, amrtidhari singhs get caught by media channels, flirting going in the gurdwara, this is a product of our society, not religion Dasam granth has an enormous amount of gyan, including charitopakhiyan and as we become more aware of this knowledge, it is my ardas that one day that all Gurdwaras will train khalsa for bir ras using bani from dasam and sarbloh granth!! We need to open our eyes and stop conforming to what society has bought us up in, it's our duty to understand the TRUE PERSONALITY Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj! HAving pictures of our patshah is limited, only dasam granth can give us access to a true sense of what the king of all kings is like..
