  1. hmm ic. thanks so much for explaining khalistani. miracles are like the best way to get people's faith. i would like to learn about more miracles like they showed on that tv show beyond belief...
  2. yea maybe it can't be proven but i'm sure that if scientists know about this they would definately have attempted to explain it. i just want to know if they did and if their results concluded that it had to be a miracle
  3. questioning doesnt necessarily mean disrespect or doubting of whether the Gurus did everything right. i'm just curious to find out why now can we please stay on topic here
  4. But I believe in questioning because it's hard to trust something when you dont understand the reasons behind them. That's called following blindly. You should always know the purpose behind what you're doing. Once the questions are answered we can realise how perfect the Gurus are
  5. and is there any more footage of this rock? i couldnt really find any more. maybe further back
  6. Have scientists attempted to explain this miracle because it doesnt seem to get enough attention as it should and i dont understand why. I hear that the hand still pumps water too. Why would Guru Nanak only choose to use his power in this situation and not any other time?
  7. yea but those are outdated. there are different sinful people out there now which were not known of in the past
  8. what if the gurdwara was built first
  9. I find it somewhat strange that Desmesh Darbar (the most common gurdwara in surrey, BC) has a pub right behind it which you have to pass everytime you enter or leave the parking lot. I also heard that there's one in BC thats attached to a banquet hall. Does this seem ok?
  10. i've been reading some history about guru gobind singh ji and they talk about him having guns and cannons. how come he's only portrayed with only swords? http://www.sikhglory.com/t5t.htm This is where Guru Gobind Singh ji, the Tenth Guru of the Sikhs spent many years of his life. He established a Workshop in which guns, rifles and all sorts of weapons were manufactured http://allaboutsikhs.com/gurus/gurugobind3.htm At this critical juncture the Guru played his part most effectively. He took his gun and aimed at Raja Dayal. Fighting bravely the Raja fell to the ground. The Guru shot arrows one after the other on the enemy. Arrows and bullets flew in abundance and the battle turned in their favor On seeing this the Guru ordered his artillery men to discharge their cannon into the hostile army at the thickest spot. The enemy made a charge to seize the artillery, but were quickly restrained by the fatal accuracy with which the Sikhs served their guns. They were supported by the infantry http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Sikh-youth/message/65 Bhai Kala Afgana said at one time that had Guru Gobind Singh been now , he would have been behind bars . The so called Dasam Bani was started to be called as " Kanjar Kavita " by the supporters of Kala Afgana .
  11. yea i'm sure they have enough funds for it too which must be going towards less important stuff

  13. i'm especially looking forward to the philosophical discussion of balanced lifestyle and present day goals/challenges. the history will be cool too though. this will be great
  14. haha well dont look at me i didnt find this someone else did and they sent me the link on msn. no that person wasnt from the east coast but i'm sure it was found first by someone else from the east
  15. Everyone has habits that they follow everyday and so many of them are developed just by following other people. the best thing about sikhi is it helps us change and CONTROL our habits to make them good. Avoiding kaam, anger and greed is a great goal to have. I totally agree with mkhalsa saying people "pluck, wax, shave, and do all sorts of things to themselves to make themselves 'beautiful' Personally, and logically, I find this ugly, unnatural, and disgusting." Eating meat, drinking alcohol, drugs etc. that's all really fake and disgusting too. it's so sad to see all that with the majority of the world and all over media but thank God theres hope because of this beautiful religion called sikhism which helps control our minds Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  16. also http://www.wcsya.org ( West Coast Sikh Youth Alliance )
