  7. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh! Sangat Jee, just to say Giani Mohan Singh Jee is alive and well..... and doing Rehiraas Sahib Jee da Paath and taking Hukamnama at Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar today ... :TH:
  8. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh! Khalsa Camp... hmmm what can I say... I think Bhai Jasbir Singh summed it up perfectly.... truly "wicked innit"! The talks were very inspirational and of a really high standard. They were informative and structured, and relied almost entirely on quotes from Gurbani to illustrate ideas and themes expressed. The Amrit Vela, Nitnem and keertan sessions were awesome! As was the langar di Seva! I really liked how it was all done in truly Gurmat manner; with all langar being made and served whilst reciting Waheguroo Simran and/or Bani.... and it was brilliant that alot of the Seva was done by the Campers themselves, including Paath, keertan and langar. :TH: In terms of improvements, I agree that more time should be allocated to the Workshops... there was soooo many and they were all so appealing... but due to lack of time we couldn't fit all of them in... perhaps fewer activities and more Workshops.... or make Camp last longer so everyone can experience everything on offer? It was sad to leave on the Friday but the coach journey on the way back really ended Camp in a fantastic way.... the London coach was singing keertan most of the way back with all the Bhai Manpreet Singh classics.... Nahee Shode Re Baba Raam Naam, Raangan Raango Seevan Seevo, Mul Kareedhee Laala Gola, Gur Khin Khin Preet, Baba Man Matvaro....... awwwww man it was tooooo good!!! Anyways, a massive thanks to all the Sevadaars who made Khalsa Camp what it was... may Guroo Jee bless you with Udham and Upraala to continue with such superb Seva and make future Camps even better!! I guess the most important lesson from Camp is to implement all that we have learnt in our lives now amongst our other daily activities! hmmmmmmmm Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!

    Results !

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Well...sangat jee me missed the results i needed for my 1st choice uni...... so altho i have got my 2nd choice uni place... i still a bit peeved off.... i am goin for a remark as i didnt think i had messed up in the paper i did badly on.... has anyone ever had a remark?.... how long does it take to get the new results back? if i do go up then my place will be given to me at my 1st choice uni as well you see..... so the process has kinda been prolonged... still dont know where i will be in a months time! No worries tho, i guess everythin happens for the best... it may end up being a 'blessing in disguise' as my brother said... btw to Guest up there... my parents also say sometimes that me concentratin on my sikhi too much and thats why my grades will slip... but APDF is sooo right.... this is the true test hunna?...we'll get by in life for goodness sake.... i'd rather secure my place at Sachkhand than a university ANYDAY..... obviously one should try their best, and aim high, but the rest is in Waheguroo Jee's hands... As long as Wahegurooo Jee doesn't turn us away at the gates of Sachkhand.......... that will truly be unbearable.... imagine if Dharam Raj says 'Unsuccessful' in the same way as UCAS......... neheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.......... Anyways, stay in Chardi Kallla... Guroo Jee knows best and wont take us anywhere where He wont accompany us and hold our hand, right? :TH: Waheguroo

  21. Waheguoo Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh Personally I don't think that anyone is going against Sikhi if they wear jewellery, if they want to then fine..... so long as if they are Amrit Dhari they abide by the Rehat Maryada by which they took Amrit..... e.g. dont pierce any part of the body in Akal Takht Maryada.... Nevertheless, if one wants to be stricter than the Rehat Maryada they are given when taking Amrit and perhaps not wear jewellery altogether, then that too is good..... it depends on the person's own beliefs...and motivations to wearing jewellery.... As an individual I think that one should remember that our true necklaces, bracelets etc are Maale of Naam, Bani and Simran...... as Guroo Jee expresses in the following Shabad: pRB qum qy lhxw qUM myrw ghxw ] O God, from You I receive; You are my decoration. jo qUM dyih soeI suKu shxw ] Whatever You give me, brings me happiness. Once this concept has been understood fully then I don't think anyone would really care whether or not they wear jewellery..... their avasthaa should be such that when they wear it and also when they dont wear it, they feel content, and no different internally........ Also, on the topic of colours, I wouldn't really say any colour is 'condemned' or considered wrong, nor does it indicate the love one has for Guroo Jee.... just that one may need to wear certain colours carefully, at appropriate times..... regarding the colour red, Guroo Jee also says..... lwl rMgu iqs kau lgw ijs ky vfBwgw ] One is dyed in the color of the Lord's Love, by great good fortune. The colour red is used to describe the state of an individual when they are fully imbued in Guroo Jee's Naam.... this is used on many occasions in Gurbani as the colour of the Lord's Love..... it surely cannot be a bad or 'condemned' colour.... All colours are created by Guroo Jee..... Forgive me for any mistakes...... Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh
  22. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! I've had a dharan before too... reeeeaaaaalllllyyy painful..... .... and always wondered what the hell it is in English as well...... i'm not sure but think it may be cists...around the navel area....???? well this is what the doctors said .... altho they werent very convincin and couldnt give me ne remedy....just took loads of blood tests and stuff which didnt help..... unlike the punjabi aunties who massaged my stomach area and had me fit in no time.... :TH: well anyways whatever it is... it has like a pulse... cos u can feel it right under ur belly button... the aunty couldnt detect this pulse like beat and that is how she knew my dharan had moved.... sure enough after me had been treated i could feel this pulse again... thats how u can tell if that is the problem or not when u have severe pains around the stomach area... Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
