  1. I think it doesn't make a difference how many days u wear it after. It doesn't say anywhere in Sikhi you have to wear it for so many days, etc. As the writer says it's a cultural thing rather than religious, and superstitious and to make the newly wed bride feel feminine if that's the right word, to remind her she's married after. Don't believe in the mehndi being dark means the mother in law is going to be nice. Each to their own opnion thou.
  2. Lol all languages except Punjabi. Kida de a, nee Chad pareyyyyy, Chad parey, Punjabi Niane kida sunege Prohjan. ??
  3. It would be interesting to see something to do with Sikhi, rather than the some same boring pointless ones that it has. Don't worry about the subscribers, as anything that goes on YouTube gets seen, as would come up in the search as a popular word that's allocated to it. As there maybe some criticisers, because there's always going to be some body that doesn't agree with something, don't let that side put you off as you also should be strong enough to take any criticism or negative commenters, that would not agree. It may help others in their journey too. Best of luck with it. (Ps: can you show us bit of Scotland too, sounds like use are from there ?)
  4. Giving up ji, this is where we go wrong, when we listen to other people and expect the same. We should not expect anything back in return. There have been topics of people saying they haven't experienced anything. Somebody could do bhagti for years and not have an experience, but that should not alter the faith one has in Waheguru. Just because one does not have any experience from Naam Simran does not mean something beautiful is not happening. It maybe happening elsewhere in ones life, and it maybe something we take for granted that we don't see it as a beautiful experience, no matter how small it may be. Any Praise of God does not go to waste, God always hears and is watching us. Think of it like this, when we love somebody, parents, siblings, spouse, friend, do we expect something back from them? If somebody loves us do we think we should give something back? No right? Because if love was about receiving something in return then it would be a selfish act (matlab). Just praising God is beautiful, what can be more beautiful than that? And why want what others have? The most beautiful experience you already have and that is having the chance to praise Waheguru. There are many many that do not have that chance or are absorbed in other distractions or are begging for that. There many that have had experiences or maybe only one or two and then don't have again, and they are begging God to have that time again. And there are many that have no experience at all, but God still loves them the same. Ji▫o ji▫o ṯerā hukam ṯivai ṯi▫o hovṇā. SGGS Ang 523 Guru Arjan Dev ji http://youtu.be/zSASouF4jyg I also think why don't I have what so and so has? If you reflect upon karm, then you will understand it better as to why some things we get and some we don't. But one other way to see it is, Waheguru has given me a beautiful experience of listening to those that have the experiences. Everything happens in Their will, God also gives you that experience of hearing about others in their hukam. When you say you hear katha vachaks and with Gods Grace, here you should think the beautiful experience is also in hearing them in itself with Gods grace. Aswell as no experience is with Gods grace, hukam. I feel the beautiful experience is not experiences we have or ridhi sidhis, but when Waheguru is pleased with the blessed fortunate ones.

  6. Agree, some people smell like the beauty and fragrance section of a department store, Guruji do not smell of anything, they have the fragrance in their Gurbani already, so why the need to spray perfumes around them? And as for people, what's wrong with using normal ( alcohol free it they want) deodorants, they too have a fragrance, but overpowering as these strong perfumes and aftershaves, which can be worn elsewhere.
  7. I didn't watch all the videos just 2, got so bored of them. You have a point, our youth are so westernised nowadays they don't care what religion they marry.
  8. I say who cares, only seen 2 videos n figured out " yayy I'm in love with my selfie stick". Lol pata ni ki boli jandi. Got dizzy watching it. Same MisterrSingh standard stuff. Like Facebook "today I woke, today I went bathroom then work/college. On the way I saw traffic lights and million cars, then woweeeeee I saw a cat cross the road all by itself and it smiled at me. Then I decided to update my status on my phone and OMG the battery finished, hai oyeeeeeee siapa now I can't do any more selfies, so I'm gonna have to borrow the tuteaa pajeaa purana Nokia. Day over. The end until tomorrow, to be continued with same story..but I will video the insects in the garden too " ?
  9. Suppose that will be quite expensive too. ?

    Naam Jaap

God does not judge us on how many mins, hours etc. Waheguru needs nothing from us, we are doing it for ourselves only, to connect to them and as Harsharan Paji says to wash off any sins, and also it is our farz and maqsad to as we have been sent into this world, this is the chance we have to. We should also live a gristhi Jeevan, go about our daily activities too. I found that when I used to plan I will do so and so many mins etc it never worked. Just try your best without forcing or expecting anything in return and leave the rest to their Hukum. This is this mornings Hukamnama from Sri Harmandir Sahib ji.
  11. Oh ok ji, I thought u meant people in general. Understood now.
  12. Thanku ji, now I can bling my profile lol...Sorry for diverting the topic.
  13. Yes I like to put on his videos as they are in English and easy to understand, even for the layman. I like the way they are made with visuals. To the bit about people behaving differently behind closed doors, I guess each soul has their weaknesses, I'd think the majority of people do that.
  14. Saw this on fb yesterday too. Can't believe how rude they are and nobody else seems to have an issue with them being there.
  15. Bit off topic, @Singhnimiripiri penji how do you put those pics in the signature? Coz I'm trying and only the copy paste comes up.
  16. I sometimes think this too, but then I think maybe it's because my level of intelligence is not high as others that its my perception towards somebody else's way of writing that I don't understand when one has hidden haumai or it's just the way they write. I tend to read and understand the things that are not covered up with fancy words to side track to confuse without Gurbani, that are not 10million pages long. Jugraj Singh is doing a good seva which is much needed with the youth and those that wish to learn about Sikhi.
  17. Sikhni777 penji it's not in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. It's a poem by Bhagat Kabir ji praising God and describing Naam Simran as Paji Harsharan ji explained. "Satt vilaas, traas nahi man me, bhog me jog jagaawe. Dharati tyaagi, akasahu tyaage, adhar madaiyaa chhawe." "Now I abide in Truth, having no pain in the mind. Now even in pleasures of this world I am in constant union with my beloved. I have abandoned the earth and the sky both and have made my hut in between." With the beloved, God, through Naam Simran. Made my hut in between, matlab ke una di atma ne rab de Naam Di khulee banaleyi, (in a spiritual sense)? If I'm understanding this Harsharan ji?

  19. Keepitreal ji, Like SinghMiriPiri penji says each souls experience is personal to themselves and who are we to judge and say they haven't experienced it? Sikhs are very respected by different faiths, but it seems like you have experienced some negative? There are many Sikhs that help others in this world. Before there was not media, now we hear of many stories. If you don't like those topics, then simply do not read them and only the ones you are interested in. How do you know that somebody has not had any experiences, when you don't even know anybody here? Same as I don't know nobody, nobody is a judge here, so if I was to judge somebody on something, that would not be wise of me as I have my own weaknesses and faults. As far as I've been reading posts on this forum, I don't recall anybody saying they have ridhi sidhis. Don't understand what you mean by fakery with our people? Well everything is fake isn't it? The whole world is an illusion, apart from Gods name. Nānak nām vihūṇī▫ā sunḏar mā▫i▫ā ḏẖaroh. ||2|| Nanak, without the Name, the beautiful worldly valuables are but a fraud. SGGS Ang 707 I haven't even read that somebody claims they are highly spiritual or claim to be a pakhandi, saying I can do this or that for you. If you were highly spiritual, what would you be doing and where would you be? And how does one reach a high spiritual stage? Please enlighten us ji. Just because we don't experience it, we cannot say experiences do not exist either.
  20. The Anand Sahib is a collection of hymns in Sikhi, written in the Ramkali Raag by Guru Amar Das, the third Guru of the Sikhs. The word Anand means complete happiness. ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਧਾਰੋ ॥੪॥ साचा नामु मेरा आधारो ॥४॥ Sācẖā nām merā āḏẖāro. ||4|| The True Name is my only support. Ang 917 ?? Dhan Dhan Guru Amardas ji
