Badal owns SGPC and SGPC owns jathedar which part is hard to understand here!!! Badal and rss is the same, and they are the one who are holding Sikh prisoners. I careless about Dhunda or whatever his name is but nobody is worse than Badal, so let's start there. Presently Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is fighting against Badal and his so called Sikhs.

I totally agree!! There are Sikhs who have been in the Indian jails for more than 20 years, but people on this Form are all rallied up about some calendar. Now I know why these Sikhs are not being released from Indian jails because we Sikhs are so divided. Our biggest enemy is Badal/indian Govt who is keeping our Sikh brothers in Jail. This same Badal has appointed Saini as Punjab’s DGP to show Sikhs their place. However, instead of showing anger towards Badal, people are concerned about issues which are not serving any purpose. In fact, this shows that Indian government has been able to implement their policies of dividing Sikhs since I990s.

That is not true lot of Afghani Sikhs are Afridi (it is a pashtun tribe). I know for sure lot of Sikhs around Bhai Joga Singh gurdwara in Peshawar and dera area are Afridi which is the same race as Afridi muslims. I know technically this area is in Pakistan, but pashtun don't recognize the border between Pashtun areas. Interestingly, all these Afridi Sikhs carry Ak-47, and I am not exaggerating, all of them do (or at least a few years ago they did) However, I have never met any sikh afgan refugee, so they could be aroras. Now I am confused, why most afghan Sikhs will be Aroras and not Afridi.

Nihangs have never done anything for Sikhs in the last 50 years. They have given us satu ram (Santa) who went against sant baba Jarnail Singh ji Khalsa bhindrawale.

Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa has been on Hunger Strike for 30 days now to get innocent Sikhs released from the Indian Jails (most of these Sikhs have served close to or more than 20 years in jails). However, we are not seeing much support in Punjab or the West. Last time when he went on his hunger strike, the British Sikhs showed their support by going on hunger strike too. I am getting more and more convinced that Sikhs have lost their pride (ankh) they will rather talk about some Christmas tree than Sikh issues which have real impact on Sikhs!

Those Sikhs are in Indian jails because they were serving Sikh Panth not their families. In fact, in many cases their families were against their actions. Sikh Panth should be doing everything thing to get these Sikhs out of prisons Not their families!

I agree Baiji, we are dealing with a terrorist state called India. It is amazing that nobody cares that Sikhs are in jail after completing their life sentence. It is more sad that even many Sikhs don't care. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is not getting enough support from Sikhs, I still don't see any main Indian media covering his morcha. Last year around this time there were thousands of people giving support to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, but not this time. I am still hoping that he will able to get these Sikhs released!

I keep hearing that Punjabi is tonal, but I have my doubts. I can think of maybe two words in Punjabi that is tonal. Please give me some examples of Punjabi words which people think can be tonal.

I just want to clarify my stand. I am absolutely not questioning Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa's character or agenda. I was pointing out that even if somebody is questioning Bhai Gurbaksh Singh they should still look at his actions and what he trying to achieve (it seems to me that it is aligned with Sikh agenda).

I think I was not clear in my first post about what is going on with Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, and what we as Sikhs can do in the West or India. Last year, when Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa started his fast to get Sikhs released, no Indian media covered his morcha. However, when Sikhs all around the world started talking about Bhai Gurbaksh Singh on the social media (e.g., liking Facebook page, talking via Facebook and twitter), the Indian media was left with no other choice, but to cover his morcha. Also, Sikhs in the west told all the Punjabi singers, who like to come to the West to make money, to go and visit Bhai Gurbaksh Singh otherwise they will not go to their concerts. All these things helped getting Bhai Gurbaksh Singh morcha in the Indian media, and these efforts helped getting parole for some Sikhs (parole was for one month). This media coverage made things so hard for SGPC and Akalis that they have to come and talk to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh. It is a different issue, that the Jathedar of Akal Takht lied to Bhai Gurbaksh Singh to end his hunger strike last year. I am not sure what is going on this year, but it doesn’t seems like enough Sikhs are supporting the morcha. I know some people are saying that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh has an agenda or he has been bought by Badals, and I am not sure if that is true or not. I do know that presently , no other Sikh, but Gurbaksh Singh is supporting imprisoned innocent Sikhs. I know some of you guys are already on top of this issue, but rest of us should do our part to get innocent Sikhs released from Indian jails (i.e., please bring this topic on the Social Media).

There was a time, as Mehtab Singh mentioned, when Sikhs use to provide justice to other communities (e.g., bringing Hindu girls back home from Muslim invaders). However, now Sikhs cannot even get justice for themselves. Thirty years have gone by but there is no justice for Sikhs who were killed and raped by Hindus. On the other side, Sikhs who have asked for justice are still in jail (Bhai Davinder Pal Singh Bhullar, Balwant Singh Rajowana, Jagtar Singh Hawara, etc.). Just to put Sikhs in their place, Punjab’s DGP is Siani who has killed thousands of Sikhs. I don’t know Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa personally, he might be a person with some other agenda, but at this time we should try our best to support him by letting people know (via social media) that this person is ready to give his life to free Sikhs who have already gone through life imprisonment. Presently, no Hindu/Indian/Punjab newspaper is covering this story. However, they are covering all the stories that represent Sikhs as terrorists. In the last month alone, six Sikhs have been arrested because according to media they are Khalistani terrorists (e.g., Bhai Mintoo, Ramnadeep, etc.). I know this post will get lot more attention if I put Jatt/Bhatra, Sidney girl, milk consumption, Nihang, etc in the post (these are examples I am not trying to pick on anybody). I just want Sikhs to remember that we as Sikhs believe in actions and not just in prayers, we are NOT Hindus!! We cannot say that we should just do prayers/path and everything will be ok (or Dharmraj will do justice) because that is not the sikh way. Hopefully Sikh prisoners will get released because of this Gursikh. It is a shame that no gurdwara in Punjab helped him.

I am not sure what your point is, 100% of Gurdwaras in Punjab are controlled by SGPC, which is controlled by Badal. This is the same Badal who appointed Saini as DGP of Punjab. Saini has killed 1000s of innocent Sikhs, and is still torturing Sikhs. I am not in any way condoning the guy mentioned in this post. However, I am just pointing out that there are more issues in Punjab than in the West. Also, there is no reason to bring Khalistan in this post.

How is he related to Khalistan? This is just waste of time.
