One of our family friends went to someones house for keertan in spartanburg, south carolina. they had someone from canada come his name is gurcharan "singh" from singh sabha... associated with missionary college. They told us that he was talking about dehtari babeh like bhneare wala... and saudewala...was saying bad about them which is okay because they are papi but then he also insulted bhai randhir singh ji..sant ji...taksal/akj.. made fun of the way keertan is done in akj. this made her furious..she sat there said nothing but she called my mom and told her how that was soo disturbing to sit there and listen to so much beadbi... insult of sants/ mahapurakhs... they guy said how bhai randhir singh ji did simran in jail cos he had nothing better to do.. and other things i wouldnt even type here.. its sad to see these so called singhs divide the panth.. the aunty who was there said no one stood up against that guy.. the gyani ji from southcarolina also supported that gurcharan "singh" how long are we going to keep ignoring these people trying to divide our panth. we see akj talk badly of taksalis and taksalis talk badly of akj... we alll need to unite against these papi.. if we dont start uniting against them... and fight amongst ourselves then we will be making it easy for these paapis.. i am a paapi myself i dont belong to any jathebandi.. but it hurts me tooo see our panth divide like this...we need to unite against these missionary colleges.. and people that talk badly of dasam bani vaheguroojeekakhalsavaheguroojeeekeefateh

Guru ji gave shaheedi for righteousness... in other words dharam..... it was the right thing to do to protect whats sacred to someone... doesnt mean we have to believe in those things.. guru ji gave his life to prove a point i am not saying you are saying that its okay to but people tend to justify hindu things many times my saying guru ji gave shaheedi for them..?? that really annoys me.. thats why some sikhs question why balpreet singh veerji and other sikhs stood up for pardah/hijab/nikaab...... its simply because there should be FULL freedom of religion..

this is just horrible i dont think such things happen here in usa... where we live we do have beadbis but different kind of beadbis i guess.. because we dont have a lot of sangat beadbis go on like they were doing nishaan sahib seva.. and realized the made the khanda upside down by mistake instead of delaying the seva and keeping the old one on.. they put the upside khanda up anway :\ that was messed up... when they make deg...they make it joothi because they taste outta the same panda if it tastes okay...... this committee member eats straight outta the langar.. they sit on chairs sometimes...... quite disturbing things go on here too but i am sure in places like sanjose gurudwara most things are as per marayada.. i have been to amazing gurudwaras that do eveything according to gurmat......... why is gurudwara beadbi sucha big issue in the uk, theres so much sangat thats the place where you would expect it the least???

there is nothing wrong with singing sikhi sings thats not beadbi.. doing pooja in guru jis hazoori is beadbi.. allowing moneh and bhangra singers are okay.. .. i dont think bhangra singers get drunk before they come.. singing sikhi songs is okay i repeat.. why do we make a big deal outta non issues and ignore things bigger issues..

some singhnis have more/less hair than others.. we cant assume that they do their eyebrows.. i used to have naturally thin eyebrows until i started doing them (when i wasnt into sikhi) luckily i didnt get too much hair on the face although i do have thick eyerbrows and facial hair its not too bad.. :\ most singhnis have less facial hair is because they never got rid of their hair... and they dont get a lot og think hair like those that used to do it... i so badly wish i never shaved but w/e have to deal with this now.. so its wrong to assume that singhnis do their eyebrows without knowing for sure..and its also wrong to assume that some with more than usual hair ever got rid of hair because some people are naturally hairy. my arms/legs are thick.. because i used to shave.. so yh it sucks!! dont touch ur hair because they will grow back more thick..!! :| although kes is a gift from guru jee its so hard for especially women to not shave and live in a society that believes in shaving.. some people understand...some people dont and make it hard for us but we must remember that we cant worry too much about public opinion.. although i do but its not the right way... someone here was comparing having cold to women with facial hair.. :\ and men growing breast to women having facial hair... :\ uhhh... men growing breast is very abnormal.. but its normal for women to grow hair on upperlip and thick eyebrows.. its totally normal i think most women have facial hair but how much varies... if its a lot then theres prolly hormonal problems! muslim women arent supposed to do their eyebrows either because they also believe in staying n hukam as well too but since in islam its important to look good for ur husband they allow twitching around eyebrows.. and other facial hair... but in sikhi vaheguroojees ur husband and he doesnt consider your facial beauty

penji eventhough sometimes we know what would be the best thing to do its so hard to get rid of the attachment i think we all are trapped in attachment. i have issues in life and this veerji said to take hukamnama everytime i took hukamnama it said to stop! and i still didnt! i obviously didnt follow hukam.. and thats why things keep getting worse for me. i think we all need to learn not to want something really badly in our life... live it the gurmukh way...take the path less travelled.... because in the end we depart with nothing but naam bani.... life is so hard all the feelings and emotions are hard to deal with.. i say just go to gurudwara more often go to reinsabaiis get sangat because thats the only thing that could help us people. i dont know what to say to you so sorry i didnt really answer the question you asked because i really dont know. you take hukamnama yourself! do ardaas! try not to do anything that will leave you guilty for rest of ur life.. try to get rid of vikaar.. this is the gurmukh answer i guess but i sound like a hypocrite because i dont do all this myself

i am sucha horrible person not a totally proper singhni i shouldnt be saying anything but.. i remember when i stopped cutting,shavng my hair it wasnt tough at all.. i didnt think about it i used to be in so much chardikala do paath eventhough i didnt know how to i actually used to try to get better at sikhi... my eyebrows got bushier i didnt care at alll and facial hair didnt bother me.. but now i feel more trapped into maya and now i see that i do care about facial hair and my looks more than ever before.. i care about my looks because i am trapped in maya.. although i care about looks today eventhough i shouldnt i think about who i was when i wasnt into sikhi,, yh i looked better than now... i still havnt improved as a person.. i am still weak and full of maya but the realization and getting to know more about sikhi..wearing dastaar means so much to me now.. i am still a disgusting person i care about public opinion too and i am trapped in maya too just as others that arent into sikhi are but i have taken a step forward and that is the though of taking amrit...and being part of sangat i know one day i will become a better person and then no other person will matter it is so hard without sangat especially when ur new into sikhi my parents supported me so much but i know other people questioned why i was getting more into sikhi they felt sorry and felt like i am taking my happiness and true essence of life away from myself.. but they dont understand that its totally the opposite of how they feel sikhi brings true happiness.. u go thru people asking ur questions.. many times i let people walk all over me hurt my feelings other times i stood up for myself.. i look back and think... you know i shulda stood up for myself then" but in the end it doesnt matter what matters is whether you let what they say make you someone you dont want to be... people will talk about ur hair... non sikh/desis will judge but you must try to be confident learn to stand up for urself but more importantly make sure u dont fall weak. i dont know if this post helped.. but i think most singhnis go thru this even if they arent hairy and all just wearing a dastaar or being into sikhi u get lotta test you mustnt give in!
