  1. I hope the thing about people turning up with weapons is untrue. When will these people full of krodh learn ? Ramdev has not said anything wrong so why pick fights with him. There are reasons why these committee wale are fecilitating Ramdev. They all have discreet links with the GOI. From those at Soho Road to those at Southall, they will do anything to foster and maintain links with the GOI. It is well known to people who keep their ear to the ground about the meetings etc they have with senior politicians. They can continue to deny this but they get special "VIP" treatment when they go to India due to political links they maintain.
  2. Too right you hear about the Dogra bahmans and the sappers from UP and Bihar as we keep hearing how the Sikhs sided with the East India Company during the mutiny (note I say mutiny and not War of Independence as it was nothing of the sort unless you are into reinventing history). The Dogra clan claim to be top notch bahmans so I will hold them to that. The maratha Holkar of Indore had ample chances to form an alliance with Shere e Panjab but the dirty scoundral was holding secret parleys to negotiate his virtual surrender with the British. The Patiala Rajas claim to be descended form the Bhatti clan of Jaisalmer so I guess that argument does not hold much weight. Diwan Mokham Chand (not Mokhan...another spelling merry go round coming up) is respected by Sikhs, the dogra bahmans, the bahman Teja Singh etc are not respected.
  3. Sure I can. Please tell me what the "truth" is first. Kurtas, forget about bahman for a second, but are you in the religion called sikhism? Yes I am a Sikh but whats that got to do with anything in this topic and the fatuous issues raised. Does it negate the fact that some people are making up b/s to make themselves feel superior eg trying to take make out it should be Guru Gobind Singh Ji and not Guru Govind Singh Ji or should it be Guroo Gobind Singh Ji ? Spelling does not matter. History does matter and without it you guys can not counter anything written my the bahman. Go read up on history and then have a debate, you will then learn about how Nana Padnavis was a complete loser etc etc and how under his guidance the Maratha empire lost its might (rather like the Sikh empire with the dirty Dogra bahmans at the helm).
  4. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ke Fateh! Nice to have you on the site Bahman ji! - Is it true the real hindus do not worship idols? The only reason why I think you're here to cause trouble is because you are spelling Guru Gobind Singh ji's name wrong after I already told you once before the correct way to spell guru sahib's name. However, ok, what "misconceptions" are you talking about? If I went on a hindu site and kept spelling Ganesh's name wrong, would you be upset after you told me the correct way to spell it? Grow up guys. Whats it really matter. Do a search in google and you will find some people do spell it as Guru Govind Singh Ji (I have also seen it spelt like that in some old history books). In some old books Singh is spelt Seng and in Anglo Sikh treaties it is spelt as Seng. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is sometimes spelt Guru Tegh Bahadar. Maharaja Ranjit Singh is spelt Maharaja Rhunjeet Seng in some books. You do not have a monopoly over such spelling or the right to tell others that your spelling is 100% correct. Grow up yourself. He also didn't put Singh in guru sahib's name either. Look, don't give me a history lesson, ok? I really don't need one right now. The point is we all know why bahman joined this site and it's not to learn about sikhism, but to put us down. You called out the wrong guy, anyways. The person who was so concerned about the name made an issue over the V used by bahman instead of B ! Not much wrong in what else bahman wrote. I forgot you do not want a history lesson as you are self rightous and know everything. The Marathas were giving the Mughals a thrashing. Mahadji Scindhia took maratha military power to new heights and bahman is right that Ragunath Rao gave the Afghans a bloody nose (for which they later paid when the weak Sadashiv Bhau lost to Abdali). The Jats under Suraj Mal were also giving the mughals a good fight. The Rajputs of Rajasthan were lackies of the Mughals and did not do much. LOL You just can't help yourself hunnah kurtas, all this sarcasm. You make my day dude! Veer Ji no sacarsm. I fail to see what quibbling over whether it should be a V or B will achieve (there I go now I am also embroiled in quibbling over whether it should be V or B, Singh or Seng, Bahadar, Bahadur or Bahadhur, Ambala or Umbala, Jalandhar, Jallandhar, Jallandur, Jalandhur or Jullundhur, Pehowe or Bheve, Punjab or Panjab, Rhunjeet or Ranjit, Guru or Guroo, Maharaja or Maharajah, Nawab or Nawaab, Raghunath or Ragoonath, Nana Padnavis or Nana Phadnavis (incidently Nana Padnavis the bahman who is feted as a great maratha was their equivalent of a Longowal, a power hungry coward who ran in his dhoti to save himself in the third battle of Panipat in 1761, he also did his upmost to curtail the rise of Mahadji Scindia). Ah well history lessons over.

  6. I saw plenty of Punjabi films in the 1980s where the village brahmin type person was made fun of. They would be mocked and there was usually a speeded up scene of the brahmin or pundit running away from the hero of the film in a comical fashion. Not seen many Punjabi films of recent times so do not know if the trend has continued.

  8. Another one of Amriks fantasy b/s stories. Amrik, you really do appear to have cornered and monopolised the market for telling lies and twisting the truth for your hidden agenda of promoting hatred between Sikhs and Hindus. All your posts are full of hatred of utter lies. Telling lies goes against Sikhism. Come on show us the proof that Bachan paid for petrol etc. Not even Panthic leaders have pointed fingers at him yet you make these allegations based on chinese whispers you have heard.
  9. how can u say this, ure saying thaT guru jis a lier or something, no, guru sahib is gonna come back but guru granth sahib ji is still gonna be our guru and khalsa raaj will be established, if u dont believe this then y do say after ardaas, raj karega khalsa, akee rehae na koee, if this is tru then u are very lost No one is saying Guru Ji was a liar BUT some so called historians have invented fairy stories and made up all sorts of lies. There are mistakes in Suraj Parkash by Bhai Santokh Singh, and Panth Parkash by Rattan Singh Bhangoo. Ask Giani Takhur Singh Ji as he himself corrects certain mistakes in these texts as he does katha.
  10. >>1. Persons Origin, I ask her to ellaborate, she states Pakistani >>2. Skin Colour >>3. Asian Surname Great use of profiling. If we go by the above then one of the London bombers who was of Afro Carribean origins would have done undetected. The police do not have a clue about anything. If you ever talk to the police you will understand this. Many recruits would struggle to complete a jigsaw let alone prevent crime. The brother has already got the media involved and this is a very good step. I suggest he contacts Sikh groups to look at legal avenues open to his mother for the treatment she received. If special branch were involved then have a look at http://www.ipcc.gov.uk about making a complaint. Why should we be victims of Pakistani based terror plots.
  11. Says it all when you cannot be bothered to read anything yet are prepared to give opinions about the same. It is rather like those Indians who refused to read human right reports about abuses in Punjab as they had it set in their minds that the police etc could never do wrong. Mann is a complete failure as a politician. Go to Sangrur and ask the people there what they think about him. Ask them what Panthic projects he did with money from his development fund. His alliance with Bittu shows his true charachter. The Sangrur Ludhiana main road which is like a lifeline to locals was in a very poor state. Locl farmers rely on this road. I do not recall Mann calling for it to be resurfaced during his tenure as Sangrur MP.
  12. How dare Mann term Shaheed Baba Jarnail Singh Ji as misguided. Mr Mann has no morals and is a dirty politician. His parleys with GOI officials were highlighted in an post earlier this week. Remember when Mahatma Gandhi referred to Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji Mahraj as a misguided patriot. It put a big stain on Mahatmas character and eventually he was forced to backtrack. Mann has followed in Mahatmas footsteps. Mann fights lone battle Vimal Sumbly Tribune News Service Isru (Ludhiana), August 15 Radical Sikh leader and the president of the Shiromani Akali Dal(Amritsar), Mr Simranjit Singh Mann, appears to be fighting a lone battle today. Even dozens of posters of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and other militant leaders killed during militancy in Punjab, which were displayed near the stage and the tent, did not seem to enthuse people. The presence at Mr Mann's rally was far too less as compared to previous years. When asked how could he justify celebrating the martyrdom of Karnail Singh Isru, who laid down his life for the integration of the country (in war for the liberation of Goa) by displaying the photographs of people who stood for disintegration of India, Mr Mann claimed, ‘‘they (pointing towards the posters of Bhindranwale and others) were misguided patriots and nationalists". Elaborating, he said, in 1947 both Hindus and Muslims got freedom as Hindus got Hindustan and Muslims got Pakistan. But, according to him, the Sikhs continue to be dominated by the Hindus as they still have to have their own nation’’. The presence at the joint political conference of the Lok Bhalai Party and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Longowal) too was quite dismal. However, both Mr Balwant Singh Ramoowalia and Mr Prem Singh Chandumajra harped on the formation of a third front. They asserted that the third front was the need of the hour as the Congress and the Akali-BJP alliance had lost the confidence of people. Left parties, including the CPI, the CPM, the Forward Bloc and the Revolutionary Socialist Party had set up a separate stage. The RSP secretary, and Rajya Sabha member, Mr Abani Roy,was the main speaker. He criticised the state and the central government for failing the expectations of people. BSP leaders resolved to uproot out "Manuvad" from the society. They asserted that the BSP was emerging as a major force in the state. The state president, Mr Avtar Singh Karimpuri, claimed that the BSP would hold the balance of power when it comes to forming next government in the state.
  13. I wonder where the BBC get their facts from. There are more than 600,000 people who profess to being of the Sikh faith in the UK, so how are the Hindus with 500,000 the third largest religious group in the UK.
  14. The eggs will be unfertilised so there is nothing wrong with that.
  15. Tom Tom = overpriced. Garmin i3 can be had for about £100 if you look around. Comet currently have it for about £130. It is an excellent system for the price. Remember whatever system you get, put the Gurdwara POI file on, then whenever you are close to a Gurdwara you will be alerted.
  16. Lots of serai construction going on. The best of luck to all those constructing new serai. The Guru Gobind Singh Ji NRI Trust who have done an excellent job with the serai at Hazur Sahib have a project for Amritsar on the cards. You have to hand it to them, they have kept the serai clean. The Soho Road wale have some sort of serai going up as well. It may be finished now. The major problem with serai is they get built but they are badly managed and not maintained. People using them treat them like a rubbish dump. They do things in serai rooms that they would never dream of doing in their own homes. It is time people from India began to respect the facilities provided.
  17. When will these people learn. How the heck are we supposed to tell the french how important the dastaar is when these idiots are knocking each others dastaar off and using them to show off infront of reporters. Shame on all those involved. 10 Akali workers hurt in clash Protest against Jaitley’s statement Vimal Sumbly Tribune News Service Ludhiana, July 9 Workers of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) (SAD-A), including district president Anup Singh Sandhu and vice-president Harjab Singh Daad were roughed up by activists of the Shiromani Akali Dal-Badal (SAD-B) outside the Circuit House here today. SAD-B workers were out to ransack the nearby office of the SAD(A). The SAD(A) claimed that 10 of its activists were injured in the scuffle. Incident took place outside the Circuit House where senior Akali and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, including Mr Arun Jaitley and Mr Parkash Singh Badal, held a meeting on seat-sharing for the Assembly elections. The SAD(A) workers led by district president Sandhu, carrying black flags wanted to protest against Mr Jaitley, who they alleged was trying to interfere in the functioning of Akal Takht Sahib. The SAD(A) general secretary said the protest was organised against Mr Jaitley’s reported demand that Akal Takht withdraw the hukamnama of boycott pronounced in 2004 against the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat, an outfit of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The SAD(B) workers, who had information of the protest, had gathered outside the venue since morning. Hundreds of Akali workers appeared to be waiting in and outside the Circuit House complex for SAD(A) protesters. As they (SAD(A) workers) started approaching the Circuit House from their party’s office, which is nearby, carrying black flags and shouting slogans, SAD-B workers attacked them with lathis. The SAD(A) workers were outnumbered by the Badal supporters. Most of them fled, some tried to put up resistance also. In the scuffle turbans of some of the SAD(A) were blown off. Some Badal supporters carried these turbans displaying these to photographers as symbol of victory. District vice-president of the SAD(A) Harjab Singh Daad snatched his turban from SAD-B workers. He was beaten up. However, he was saved by Deputy Superintendent of Police R.K. Bakshi and his men. Secretary and spokesman of the SAD-B, Dr Daljeet Singh Cheema condemned the SAD(A) for its “attack†on his party workers. He pointed out, everybody had the right in a democracy to organise programme of his party. “Why did they (SAD-A) activists try to attack and disturb our programme?â€, he asked, adding that they were doing it at the behest of the Congress. SAD(A) general secretary Prof Jagmohan Singh was furious at the incident. He said, the SAD(B) would get a prompt reply. “They have sparked a civil war among the Sikhs and they (the SAD-B) should be squarely responsible for itâ€, he warned. He claimed the SAD(A) activists were only trying to lodge symbolic and peaceful protest against Mr Jaitley. “However, our workers were attacked and beaten up by SAD-B activistsâ€, he alleged. The SAD(A) has called a Sikh congregation on July 21 at Amritsar.
  18. There are many other scams that Amrik thug was involved in. Kar Sewa wale get cement at special reduced rates. If you are buying large quantities then there is scope to make lots of money by buying at the reduced rate and selling the cement on at slightly below the retail price. This dirty Amrik was involved in such a scam. The media knew about this but it was hushed up through his contacts.
  19. There are also such places in : Huddersfield (the idiots have even called it Sikh Community Centre) Bradford, Several in Birmingham including one named after Jassa Singh Ramgharia, Wednesfield, Leamington (not sure if they have stopped the programs in the Tachbrook industrial unit behind the Gurdwara) I am sure there are many more. Just looking at Bhai Sahib Ranjit Singh (Dhadrian wale) bookings it looks as if the organisers have booked programs at a few of these Gurdwara where the committee wale think it is ok to have party halls. Maybe he can educate and influence the committee wale in such places.
  20. Its all coming out now. Not long ago I posted a thread about these kar sewa wale and their secret hidden agenda. Looks like Amrik has been exposed and his links with Indian Intelligence are coming into the public domain. This lafanga has destroyed a lot of Sikh heritage. He should be caught and publicly thrashed. Be careful who you give money to. Baba of kar seva flees after embezzling donations worth crores Varinder Walia and Gurbaxpuri Tarn Taran, July 8 In a shocking but unprecedented case in the history of ‘kar seva’, Amrik Singh of Dera Baba Jagtar Singh today went underground after allegedly embezzling donations worth crores, here today. The alleged culprit, Amrik Singh who had supervised the kar seva of the Holy Tank of Golden Temple, gold plating of Darbar Sahib, Tarn Taran, and Sikh shrines in Pakistan and had collected huge donations, was kept under captivity for many days in the Dera. However, he fled on the pretext of purchasing medicines from Amritsar. Baba Jagtar Singh, chief of the Dera, said the general power of attorney given to Amrik Singh had been cancelled. The Dera chief has also given public notices, warning the Sikh Sangat against the activities of Amrik Singh. The district police chief, Mr Parveen Sinha, said a case under various sections including 420 of the Indian Penal Code was being registered against Amrik Singh on the complaint of Baba Jagtar Singh. Mr Sinha said some relatives of Amrik Singh were also involved in the embezzlement of kar seva funds and a case might be registered against them after the probe. Amrik Singh had succeeded in securing multiple visa for Pakistan to carry out ‘kar seva’ of Sikh shrines in Pakistan. He had supervised the construction of ‘Golden Palanquin’ taken to Pakistan by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. Mr Manmohan Singh Khalsa, a senior leader of the Dal Khalsa while talking to The Tribune from UK alleged that the visa of Amrik Singh was not extended by Pakistan as he was suspected to be an agent of Indian Intelligence agencies. He alleged that telephone numbers of senior police officers of India were found in the personal diary of Amrik Singh. Mr Khalsa alleged that Amrik Singh had purchased luxury vehicles in Pakistan. Addressing a Press conference, here today, Baba Jagtar Singh said Amrik Singh had purchased about seven acres land in Hoshiarpur district in his own name recently. A scorpio vehicle was purchased in the name of his relative. Baba Jagtar Singh alleged that Amrik Singh had embezzled funds worth crores by purchasing ‘Benami’ land. Though Amrik Singh was held responsible for the disappearance of one gold and three spades during the kar seva of the Sarover of Golden Temple, a couple of years ago, no action was taken against him. He had also developed deep roots among senior officials of the SGPC and the state government. He had recently met Capt Amarinder Singh, Chief Minister. Amrik Singh, who is only 38, had joined the Dera of Baba Jagtar Singh at the age of 17. He had won the confidence of senior Sikh Sants and was brought to Tarn Taran, the headquarter of kar seva. Since he was found ‘worldly smart’, he was given general power of attorney in July, 1998. He had visited many developed countries, including USA, with a view to collecting donations. However, recently, he developed sharp differences with Baba Jagtar Singh when his activities were found suspicious. He was under observation for the last about six months and all his activities were being monitored closely.
  21. Make sure you actually see the swaroop of Guru Mahraj before you pay any money. There are plenty of conmen out there who send out spam to make money.
  22. Very good post. It is time those hijacking the name of Sardar Jassa Singh Ji Ramgharia thought again and stopped naming their manmat party halls after this truly inspirational figure. They need to think whether Jassa Singh Ji would be happy seeing his name used for dens of vice. I wonder if the pradaans of these Gurdwara would be happy if someone named a string of stripclubs and seedy massage parlours after them ?
  23. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with anyone knocking Makkars turban off was not a good thing to do. On the one hand the Singh in France are battling hard to allow them to wear turbans to schools etc. Then we have Manns chamchey knocking Turbans off someones head. If the sides wanted to fight maybe they should have organised a traditional wrestling match in front of the Akal Takht between say Manns son and Sukhbir Badal. It is interesting to see how quick Vedanti was to issue a Hukumnama as his ustaad Makkars dastaar was knocked off. When the UK Singh write to him to summon those who do beadbi of Guru Mahraj he ignores the petitions for years. Just shows that Vedanti thinks more of Makkar and the Kakkar Badal than he does of our eternal Guru Ji.
  24. Here in Punjab we rely on daily ajit ,punjabi newspaper for news besides Tribune. Prof Darshan Singh's comments were not mentioned in either of these. If you have seen that then let me know. Instead we are seeing Makkar and his USA trip mentioned and also that Makkar was given a gold medal at a Gurdwara. What was he given a gold medal for ? Coming number 1 in the Badal £um licking contest ?
  25. How far do you want to go then ? Do you pull out of your final salary pension scheme because you know money will be invested in firms that profit from anti Gurmat activities ? Do you put your money under the mattress as banks lend to firms that profit from anti Gurmat activities ?
