  1. So they don't want British aid, are the politicians willing to dip into the national budget to replace what would have been given to the 500 million poor? How can they do this? We all know money does no filter to the bottom so well over there.
  2. Why worry about others? Especially an oppressed group? This is a sign of insecurity on our behalf. Let the Ravidassias do what they like they are not sikhs so we should not worry about them.
  3. facebook is for losers who want to show off their friends list and brag about how popular they are.
  4. They are not sikh dalbir I had a discussion with some last year, they dont follow rehat maryada, they call bhagat ravidass ji guru instead of bhagat, they have their own sign, salutation, their own place of pilgramage every year they have a train service and millions go to the place of ravidass ji birth. I said how can you take bani out of guru granth sahib and they said only part of bhagat ravidass ji's work is in there and there is much more out there, even so I accepted this and as for the vienna murder the guys claimed they were sikh and sikh dont have caste eitherway they were bankrolled by us so I did not have a leg to stand on but if you ask are they friend or foes .... i dont see any anti sikh in them more so they are concentrating on their own beliefs and as sikhs we should respect this. Its not something new anyway, this whole movement has been going on nearly a century now and it was inevitable this would happen. You got to remember alot of it was due to discrimination but there are way way more chamars in other states who respect bhagat ravidass ji too and they are not sikh and refer to him as guru or sant.
  5. No im not amritdhari I am concerned though that religion is being associated with political parties.
  6. Yes im sikh, but only go gurudwara when I get chance, the olds go more often. This really gets on my nerves when people question if you do this you are not sikh blah blah blah - who the hell are you to decide? God? Exactly now be quiet. Indian National Congress is lead my Manmohan Singh so I cant think why its wrong because they are secular and get much votes as SAD. BJP have a large following in Punjab so what you are suggesting is wrong when im sure there is a 1 in 2 chance a Sikh has voted them.
  7. Is SAD secular? I say this as Punjab is a mixture of communities and beliefs, It would be interesting to read the manifesto. People should vote whats right for them, for example I vote Conservative and you can vote Labour but it does not stop either of us being more sikh than each other. What about; BJP? Indian National Congress? BSP? People's Party of Punjab?
  8. I had a chat about this to many friends who also confirmed with me their families had no troubles during 84 but this does not stop me believing in law and order as there was alot of militancy at the time in Punjab that needed to be addressed. I dont want my homeland being called a little Pakistan.
  9. What? So if someone dont agree with you they taking the micky. My family had no troubles during 1984 and we have a family, If anyone commits crime then sure they should be punished I agree.
  10. Come on guys Just like the football world cup, a concert is not out of the norm when things come to a end. The wounds from past incidents do not need reopening - India has moved on. There is no better time to being a Sikh in India now for example the PM is Sikh, sports to with Harbhajan and Yuvraj and even popular culture too with Mahek Chahal and Sunny in the finals of Big Boss 5, however Pooja Bedi (a descendent of Guru Nanak Ji) was voted out a few weeks back. Personally I thought Shah Rukh Khan put on a good show and its great seeing a Pathan respecting jaikara.
  11. In not too sure India is a secular nation so we dont need to be labelled! If we go down your path why not ask, where is the Bahai Nations? Zoroastrian Nations? Scientology Nations? Jain Nations? Catch my drift?
  12. A couple points of concern need to be corrected here. That Manpreet girl was right in what she says but Im a little concerned why you would go into a Ramgharia gurdwara that worships viskarama? Then come on here to complain? Surely it was good enough for you to step foot inside in the first place. Also as you said most tharkhans are against khalistan, so what? They make up part of the community as well and are entitled to their opinion. If it does not fit in with your views dont attack them as im sure there are many others who do not agree with this khalistan nonsense like you do. I mean take a look at punjab now and you find many non-sikhs who would not want the land taken from under their feet. Also lastly what on earth is a Ramgharia Ravidas Gurdwara? Are you not mixing the two? Anyway ravidasi is a different religion to sikh, so what makes you think you can march in giving the shots? Its there religion so leave them to it. you going to march into the Vatican next and start laying down the law? lol
  13. Hi guys I was speaking to someone yesterday about sikhi and was told the real sikhism is this snatan sikhism? Is this true?
  14. IndySinghJ - how can you say all chumar are followers of sikhi? Did you know there is more than twice (yes twice!) chumar than sikhs put together? Your logic and knowledge is poor what about the christian, bhuddhist, hindus that are chumar? Im sorry but I have to disagree, just look at the numbers.
  15. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/fugitive-jailed-over-crash-death-2365907.html
  16. IndySinghJ why are you trying to distort history? Bhai Sangat Singh Ji, the younger brother of Bhai Jiwan Singh was Chura (Mazhabi) So are Bhai Jaita Singh Ji, Bhai Sangat Singh, Bhai Bachittar Singh, and others were Chura (Mazhabi - name given to them by Guru Gobind Singh). By the way most Chumar are hindus, in and outside of Punjab.
  17. Vikash dhorasoo is ethically Indian but not sikh, micheal chopra...well chopra is half white and chopra is not a sikh name. But this topic points out the hipocracy in out community that when we see a sikh girl out there drinking we say she is not sikh, yet we expect a mon to play football and then claim him as sikh. Why not let him try and header a ball with a daastar and takle someone with a kirpan in his pocket?
  18. No one said that, All what is implied is gursikhs are not the majority of the community here. The westernised sikhs manage to balance lifestyles best. They have good jobs, earn more money, less likely to be racially harassed as they more integrated. Yea back to the topic is good idea, we seemed to have lost the way abit.
  19. Solely joined in order to protect the likes of Bobby Friction? Look at join date you buffoon. Notice it is way before yesterday lol Also by the way I didnt explicitly state true followers should leave, nor did I explicitly state only sikhs but applies to any religion. Live your life how you want it but if all you going to do is <banned word filter activated> about how uncivilised this society is and how you dont like the majority of sikhs drinking sharaab, being moneh etc.. you know where the door is.
  20. What you on about negative? Since when has this country been a nation full of paag wearing teetotal bhindranwale fanatics? Why then resort to threatening the majority who are more assimilated and integrated into the society of this great land just because they dont follow the hillbilly village views you hold? This goes for islamic extremists too, dont bite the hands that feed you. Threatening our personalities - havent we been here before? http://www.dailymail...us-TV-film.html
  21. You choose to live here and if you don't like the 'uncivilised society' then gladly leave this country, you do have this choice.
  22. Yeah well done mate your as bad as these people threatening our personalities. Great language by the way!
  23. You hit the nail right on the head, imagine being sanctioned for cutting your hair or not taking amrit etc. Them sorts are exclusive rather than inclusive.
